[Q] Notifications came later

Hi everyone! How are you?
Well, like title says.. I have a problem. Whatsapp notifications came later. Always with 3g or WIFI, I receive the notifications like 10 minutes later,
when my Note it's sleeping. So, when I am not using my cell, the notifications are late.
This happen to me with every roms that I had,:GB,ICS,JB, all
Do you know any solution?

I don't know exactly, but all for default.
Now I have PA 3.10 and I don't find energy settings. And I don't use any power saving application

Then I think you need to check your apps, there could be one with settings, loke some allinone tools that disable radios or something while asleep.
Only other thing I can think off is possibly fast dormancy, or your modem. First is tricky, second did you have same modem on all roms? Not sure if thats it though

XD hahahhh. I don't know, I just send messages to friends of Whatsapp. Then, I lock the phone, and they answer me at minute, but the notification comes 10 minutes late or when I unlock the phone.
But wait, I just test with my dad's cell phone and is exactly the same. He has the Xperia S.
Maybe it's the wireless router, but what can it be?

No, dude. It's all for default. I only change the rom a couple of times

havent checked back in a while, anyways, if you dont have it on non wifi network, i would check you internet traffic on your wifi, if your not using torrents or other bandwidth eaters. If thats not the case, or just do it anyway, flash your wifi with latest firmware, reset it and change your password to more secure one. You might have freeloaders hogging your bandwidth.
your device has a modem, some better then others, considering the other photos ne has it also, it might be something with your home network, or country if you have it on both networks. In that case you can try contacting the companies, as long as you eliminated all else.
A verry verry longshot, but maybe fast dormancy, but thats a longshot.

Weird Wi-Fi problem playing videos on GE

So guys, I'm having a weird and annoying problem on my One, I'm on a converted GE, full stock, started to note that when I'm on Wi-Fi I can't see any videos.
So what happens is for example if using YouTube app goes fine until it starts de video, then it freezes and never play.
It happens with chrome too, if I'm on a page with a video as soon as start to play it simple crashes.
Turning off Wi-Fi solves everything, on LTE everything works.
So I did a lot of workarounds by using different Wi-Fi settings, different Wi-Fi networks but with no luck, so the next step for me was wipe, even then the problem persists.
It doesn't have this problem on stock sense roms, as soon as I flash GE, Wi-Fi acts really wrong.
No matter what app I'm using to watch YouTube or browser to see videos it freezes or crashes on Wi-Fi.

Yep, it the same problem, for me not always a reboot solves but not always, it's really weird.

Well it looks like that the fix for now is rebooting a lot during the day

Rebooting doesn't even help me. Video streaming on apps doesn't work on WiFi; period.

Hope that they fix this on a next update.

I found out that when I take out my sim card, streaming videos works on WiFi. It only doesn't seem to work when it's connected to both a mobile network and WiFi.

In airplane mode with wifi on still doesn't work for me, this is so annoying

Give it up, went to stock sense rom...

cannot pair bluetooth

Hi! I've a mi5 64 and a Midland BT next (is an intercom I use when I go in bike). With all my old phones I could pair the Midland without problem, in a minute, but with Mi5 is impossible! the phone prompts for the code (0000) and seems that connect but finally the status is: connected (no device). An strange error, no? I don't know how can I solve this problem, some idea here?
The intercom is very expensive and it's not my idea to buy another! :laugh:

ps: I've tried the stock rom when I bought and now I've the xiaomi.eu dev 6.4.21 .

I reflashed and now seems to work but the error text is no device..

Android Auto does not yet work under MIUI 10 and Mi 8

Hej there,
if anybody wants to buy Mi8 and has to use Android Auto or wants to use it.
Do not buy it (maybe yet...)
Because as discussed here because of the black border on the upper and lower border it will not work...
So as with my Mi5s I again have to wait for LineageOS until I can use my Xiaomi smartphone...

MIUI 9 Global ROM also not work with Android Auto. Black boarder up and down and even the touch screen is not working.

Really bad I just bought it because my LG G6 didnt work stable on Android Auto.
Today I tested The Mi8 with in my Car and it didnt work.
I am using the newes China Beta 8.7.19.......
What means because of the black border on upper boarder ???
And BtW the nfc android Beam is not working correctly. Can´t send Fotos via android Beam by getting 2 Phones together....

El Xiaomi mi8 tampoco he conseguido conectarlo al Android auto. Alguien me podría decir cómo hacerlo. Desde luego crea mala imagen de este móvil si no lo arregla.

I did not know there were problems with xiaomi phones and android auto, otherwise I would not have bought a mi 8... I have the latest official ROM MIUI global 10.2.2.0 (PEAMIXM) and my car doesn't even recognize the phone. It's so frustrating to have bought a phone that's not exactly cheap and does everything well, except for this one thing. My car has no satnav and I was used to just connecting my now gone Umidigi and use google maps. This is so infuriating... Is there any trick or workaround? When I connect the phone to the car the little notification LED lights up but that it. Nothing from the phone or car side ever happens. HELP!

I'm running the MIUI Global ROM 10 - 9.1.24 BETA and Android auto is now working. I had major display and touch issues on the MIUI 9 ROMs.

It is interesting, for me it is working fine with MIUI roms (Global and EU aswell).
With custom roms it worked okay aswell except when you disconnected the phone, the screen started to flicker, so sadly no working custom rom

Android Auto delayed start

I am experiencing a strange behaviour with Global Stock ROM 9.6.5 and Android Auto.
When I connect the phone to the head unit (VW Composition Media), it takes up to 4 minutes until it recognizes the phone and I do not have another option to start it manually.
I just reset my Mi 8 totally and used Google Experience ROM before and had no problems with Android Auto - except the flickering which can be solved changing some options in developer options.
So this brings me to the fact that this delayed start must have something to do with the stock ROM.
I already deactivated any power saving options in Android for AA.
Any ideas of what I can do here?

Solved. In the developer options there is a setting default usb configuration which needs to be set to mtp.
