Hello,
do you think it would be possible to install new nav bar present in Moto Z3 Play?
Would it be suitable only for Oreo?
Thanks!

Hi, I use the app "gesture control" to simulate the nav bar like Moto Z3 Play. The app "Navigation bar remover" removes the stock navigation bar.
Thanks for your reply, is this solution creating issues with keyboard? Root required?
Thanks again!

I tried "gesture control", free version doesn't allow to set up the action for just single tap on the pill. I downloaded "Navigation bar remover", but I didn't try it. Have you tried on Moto X-2?
So I jumped on the XDA App "Navigation Gestures". Free version allows all customization enough for my use. I used the Hide Navigation Bar function included (with root) and it seems ok. I tried also again "Gesture Control" app, and behaviour is the same.
Indeed integration of these nav bar is not full, as stock nav bar. The pill stays on overlay, and it could be prevented to be kicked up by the keyboard, if enough thin, it doesn't create any problem.
Positive compared to stock one is the gain of screen portion covered by stock navigation bar.

I know this has been asked before, but the last thread I saw about this is pretty old, and related to 5.x Lolipop I think (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/disabling-lockscreen-weather-t3050911)
I am using a weather app (amber weather, but it's the same for all of them) to put the temperature in the status bar, but it seems like all of them put a persistent notification in the notification slidedown drawer (which I don't mind really) and on the lockscreen (which I really don't like). I don't care about removing the notification from the slide down notification panel/drawer, but would really like a way to disable the lockscreen notification. It seems like I can disable notifications completely on the lockscreen (only really want sms/text notifications) or disable notifications for the weather app (but that kills the temp in the status bar, so it's a moot point). Can't seem to find the happy medium of just the temp in the status bar and no lockscreen notification.
Is there a way (either xposed module, new lockscreen app or some other way) to either blacklist/remove lockscreen notifications on a per app level, or even better, would be a whitelist of allowed lockscreen notifications?
Thanks in advance!

Accuweather doesn't put anything on the lockscreen.

Accuweather does the same thing for me, only it's a white notification since it's not as customizable as amber weather... Doesn't really look like it's possible, so I'm probably just going to have to deal with no temp in the status bar until I can find a way to do this :-/
Dear Community,
is it possible to disable the google search bar at the buttom of the homescreen?
I got the Android 9 Update today and I don't like these bar they take to much space.
Or is the only way an other launcher? eg Nova launcher?

There must be another way??
I would like to get rid of it too.
But I also dislike the date/weather-widget on top of the homepage. How can I disable this one!?!?

You can use lawnchair launcher.
You can install "lawnchair launcher" from Google Play Store. You must also install lawnfeed apk with this launcher. You can download lawnfeed apk from apkmirror website. Use any icon pack with this launcher you like. I prefer cleanandroid icon pack.

You need to disable Google app from settings. You can rid only the weather display though. Date still is displayed.
I stopped the Google app, and the weather display is gone now.
Ok. But now I still do not want to see the other items: date and Google search bar.
(Why is this designed in Android 9?)
Edit: Mission impossible. A launcher (Nova) solves these problems.
Is there a way to always have the navigation bar black on the S10? Night Mode helps but there's still quite a few apps where the bar is white.
Samsung's Good Lock has a part to it called NavStar which lets you customize the nav bar, but it's mainly for changing the icons. You can change the background colour but there's only a few selections and they are all a bright colours and probabbly not what you are looking for.

I tried adb command for black navigation bar. Don't really work all the time. Some apps still have white color.
I tried system tuner and indicated black navigation bar. Same results as above.
Anyone?

I changed the navigation bar to black, but the icon does not change to white lol.
Samtweak2 on Google play can change the nav black. You need to give adb access..
Works as advertised no issues and survives a reboot..

Nacho notch works. No need adb.
I used to have some xiaomi devices in the past. The last one was mi9 pro which I replaced to a oneplus and gave the mi9 to my girlfriend.
One nice feature I remember was a special camera stabilization where you could hold the phone how ever you wanted but the taken pictures were always horizontal. If I remember correctly this feature was some day suddenly removed with any update in miui 11.
Now that I got my gf an new xiaomi device, the Xiaomi 12 Pro I have noticed they even removed the sky filter from their gallery app. The one where you are able to change the sky on a picture to whatever you want.
And furthermore using nova launcher (which I have been using since froyo or gingerbread) together with gesture navigation is a hassle.
What is going on with xiaomi... why is the software getting worse and worse???
That camera feature is indeed gone.
I use Nova Launcher Prime for many years now and when you want gesture navigation use FNG app. That will do the job.

But I didn't find any way to permanently remove the navbar. I can hide it using an ADB command but it does not survive a reboot.
What nav bar do you mean, the dock at the bottom?

I have two problems with the notification bar on my Edge 20 with Android 12 Stock ROM, which are extremely annoying!
The bar is hidden on the home screen. It only shows up when I'm in an app. When I wake up the phone, I don't even see if I've got any messages:

Iif I pull down the bar, the clock disappears. Extremely tedious, for example, if you write to someone via the bar on WhatApp and then don't know what time it is and have to close the bar again:
Is there a way to fix this?

I believe that certain 3rd party launchers have the option to hide the statusbar clock if there is a clock widget already placed on the home screen.
I use Nova Launcher, but haven't found any coresponding settings.
