Hi there, is this for music audio mainly? If its for video etc, I dont think there is much you can do. For audio however, I have tried all of the "volume booster" apps including DSP / Beats and they didnt make a noticeable difference to me. However, I downloaded a "paid for" app called Music Folder Player and it has an in-built volume booster which is excellent. I use my Note a lot for music and this is, in my opinion, the most well rounded music app, in terms of sound quality, volume and overall customisation. Worth a try.
I hope this helps. Please hit Thanks if it did.

This may seem like a silly question but have you tried alternative headphones? if you have, and if you have tried using a different ROM ( I experienced volume issues with CM10 based ROMs previously) then it could be a hardware problem, possibly in the headphone jack itself. flash a different ROM (not CM10 or AOKP), try different headphones and if the problem persists then it is probably the headphone jack that needs attention.
I hope this helps. Please hit Thanks if it did.

are you using an AOSP / AOKP ROM? Have you tried a Stock based ROM? does the audio seem ok over bluetooth / A2DP? if so it would seem to be a problem with the headphone jack. I had this with my HTC Hero and it had to go back to the manufacturer for repair.
If your serious about you music google fiio "headphone amplifier" I use one and they are perfect.
As well as giving you the option to crank the volume up untill you blow your headphones and your eardrums
they also do wonders for the sound quality.
Si
I've got too sound problems. At stock ics sound was working normal, but the highest volume wasn't very high. Now tested with some JB roms and the sound slider moves normally but volume doesn't increase when it's above half. That speakerboost app didn't increase volume at all With headphones the volume is quite ok but in car i need more volume because of my amplifier.

As title say, this trick will give you a 2x quality to any kind of headset you connect to our phone, i dont think im owner of this trick, but i didnt read it anywhere yet
Follow this steps in order to activate this:
1_activate silence mode
(any kind of notification sound will disable the boost making you follow all the steps again)
2_plug in your handsets
3_open music and play a sound
4_in case you have an EQ open it after following steps 1, 2 and 3 (optional)
5_open the radio, in case its working for you music will stop as always
6_in the radio, press the button that allows you to use the speaker for listening (dont unplug the headsets)
7_Turn of the radio while its working with the speaker on (radio should close automatically)
8_Now quickly go to the music player and play something.
and thats it, you will notice a really big change in sound loudness and quality, but dont put the volume too high!, phone will detect that is too much for your ears and will disconnect the headsets making you do all the steps again.
Hope it work for you, it worked for me in both stock v20 and v30, in case your radio "dont work" or something like that i cant help, i didnt have that problem before
Did i help you? Dont forget to press "thanks" it wont take you nothing, good luck

Yes it is working fine. Just start and stop FM, it will boost good sound with ear phones. But we have run FM after every call and message to get this effect. We can easily find the difference with this procedure. B/t I am using stock ICS.

to simplify i'm just buying a better headset :good:
It's not about buying new good headset. I observed the improvement in quality of the audio with this method with LG provided headset.

Hello guys,
I hope you can help me.
Since today, the speaker of my Xperia SP doesn't work anymore.
I tested with Walkman, whatsapp, MX.
But whenever I receive a phone call, it plays the ringtone. Basically that is no problem for me to use it as I never need the speaker, but I'd like to know if they have build in two speakers, one for media and one for ringtones? Can anyone confirm that?
Or knows how I could fix that?
Greetings

Solution
Ok I feel a bit stupid now but I will write my solution here:
It seems that there are different solutions: I tried to stick in and pull out headset, restart, test ringtones and solved it finally after doing a short call. Now it is working again!
Hope this may be helpful for others if this happens to you.
Greetings

Had something similar occurring. Usually it happens when I don't stop the music before unplugging my ear plugs ( music stops automatically). Sound is still working but had very low volume or something like that. My solution is first quiting the music and then unplug my earplugs.
I destroy one time my android tv stick with a wrong sound mod. New flashing help me.

Hello. My phone makes this weird noises whatever app I open with sound on. If I clear the cache it can be ok for 1 min or 1 hour and then back to the same, so I assume it is not hw issue. Could anyone please help? This is driving me crazy ?

Nope. NFC is off. It does it also with wired headphones
If there's one thing I never wanted to do with the watch, is answer and or talk to it. When the phone rings I just want to things that I have yet to figure out.
1) How to have it NOT send sound and mic functions to the watch when answering the phone, and
2) the phone to have a ringtone that I decide it to have, either via Android Wear, Feel the Wear, or the phone itself.
I want all the other sound, mic, etc settings and abilities but not use it as a phone. I like that the watch rings when the call comes in, I actually hear it and I can ignore the call on the watch if I want, and here's the kink, it's not every time that it picks up the call, but it does. And I ALWAYS answer the call from the phone.
The other issue is that on calls there's a ringtone that seems to not exist. In phone settings > sound > ringtone it say "unknown ringtone", AW it's set to one thing in the ones to choose from, in FtW it's another (in attempts to see which has precedence) but I think the low volume "booong boooong booong" is just a fall backk system sound.
Hoping it's a permission setting that I missed or something. Otherwise things are golden.
ZW3 and Google Pixel XL
Android Wear version on watch is still 1.5 though the phone app is 2.x
Thanks
Number 1
Settings > Bluetooth
Second setting (don't know the English expression, but it's about playing smartphone audio on watch)

In the phone I can go into settings > Bluetooth and select the Gear Icon next to the watch. It displays the name for the watch that I can edit, then under the words "use for", there are two check boxes with the option for "Contacts" and the other for "Phone Audio" (both checked by default. you think that the audio option turned off will turn off the possibility to use the watch as a phone, but maintain the rest?
No, I meant on the watch, sorry.

In the Zenwatch manager app under the "Tools" tab you can switch off Remote call control
That's been off from the start. That was the first thing I thought it was.

Did you try what I suggested?
Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk
Yes. That kills the Bluetooth connection all together and blocks any attempt to reconnect.
What? Works for me. Did you try an factory reset?
Yup. Now in my screwing around, I've managed to kill all audible notifications to the watch
Oh well, like every other time I'll get it back
i dont really get what you mean by the second question but i can answer the first one.
when you get a call and you answer by swiping on your watch it automatically sends the audio to the watch. if you dont want this. you can either answer the phone call directly on the phone or touch the bluethoot sign on the call screen on your phone, it will switch back to your phone that way. sorry for the crappy english, if you don't understand what i mean i will try to explain it otherwise
