Charging slowly after update to Oreo, why? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hi!
Before update my OPO 3T to 8.0 Oreo (official OxygenOS 5 stable), I was charging my phone with a USB-C to USB-C cable, connected to my MSI GE72 6QD Laptop with ubuntu 16.04 LTS aprox to 1300-1400 mAh, but now it charges to 400-500 mAh and lockscreen says "Charging slowly", same as when is connected to USB 2.0 port
Why does this happen? any solution?
I already tried wipe cache with no result
Thanks and sorry for my english

Seems to be a Oreo "feature"/limitation
I have not found the solution yet
any help would be grateful

I was able to get somewhere but I can't tell if I'm there yet. I used the FrancoKernel and flashed that to my phone, restarted, and now Kernel Auditor from the play store shows a fast charging toggle under the battery menu, but my phone is at 95% currently which I believe Oreo will throttle charging after 90 by default, so I'll report back with my findings.

ah come on, you can use Linux and Windows on the same Machine at the same time. so you bother to move the whole system to a single OS. Even on my laptop i am using Both Linux and Windows 7.

But that would force me to format my current system first, which i'm not yet read to do.
And also, it would be much easier if i wasn't running a celeron on a laptop with 2GB ram

I know that, i'm running as my main system though, for me to install windows i'd have to format my HDD which i only have 1 inside the laptop, either i get usb-sata adaptor that's better than what i have right now or my only option is to format to install linux + windows, however.. on a tight budget and specs 500GB might not be enough for me.
So... a friend's computer it is for the meantime
My phone runs smoother than my pc.

I have uploaded the files to google drive. First you have to install the apk, then you can download the zip from the app, or just flash the zip that I've included in the folder. It's the same as If you downloaded the latest miui version from the app.
That's good news I can use xposed on the red prime, used with many samsung, though not understand how you install on prime.. Can you PLEASE kindly explain in easy baby language. I see on the google drive there are 2 files, do I flash or install them via twrp? Or install anther way? Please explain how. Thanks so much.

I have just tried it out by myself, so I installed the .apk file (xposed installer) and then you could select the appropriate version and architecture from the available versions in the app (miui, arm64). I uploaded the files (if you don't want to search for the zip in the application then you could just install the apk and flash the zip) in my google drive. LE 2 X526 charging issue (not charging)

I am using LE 2 X526 Indian version and from few days I am getting not charging issue. When I connect the charger LED lights turns ON for a second then turns off, battery icon shows charging animations and battery status shows "not charging". If I turns OFF the phone then charging is working fine.
I have tried AICP and Lineage roms but I am getting the same issue.
Can anyone help me with this issue. Is it ROM issue or hardware?
Thanks in advance.

I have noticed, when phone is cool, then charging is working good and when its hot then it doesn't charge.
To verify the same, I connected the charging cable (it was not charging) I kept the phone in front of fan (while charger connected) and as expected phone started charging.
It means that this phone has some temperature sensor and if the temperature reaches any specified limit then it stops charging (maybe to avoid overheating issue)
Now anyone can help to increase that limit as India is very hot country

Best Custom ROM For Huawei GR5 mini (GT3)??

Hi guys,
So I managed to get my hands on a GT5 mini and I'm wondering whats the best ROM for it if there is any that is? I was searching but didn't find any even though I did see that Linenage 14.1 is compatible. But I'm unsure if its the best choice if there exist any other thats compatible or is it my only choice
Model: NMO-L23
Bootloader has already been unlocked and TWRP v3.0.2.0 has been flashed on it as well

Head over HERE. The dev needs testers.
I have the GT3 and it's the same model as your GT5
I think that up to now these models are the same as the GR5 mini, and the GT3 model: NMO-L23. Are the same for what I begin to understand and I still can not make it root.
And I'm on the same looking roms compatible with them.
I have tried, such as:
1. CM 13
2. CM 14 (LineageOS)
3. Asernik N
4. eLite N
5. B191/ B356/ B361 KangV
You can try and find what is the most suitable ROM for you.

If wanting original modified one, it is latest B358 KangV from HRT

Bricked GR5 mini
I tried to flash the Linenage 14.1 on my HUAWEI GR5 mini(NMO-L31). It didn't work. I tried to boot the device but it failed. When I tried to flash stock rom on it, accidently it bricked and not booting up. In TWRP recovery mod, a message is shown all the time saying, "NO OS INSTALLED." I send the device to the support center, but they refused to fix it. Now, what can I do to retrive my device?

First, sorry about my english, let me ask you one question? Did you backup entire rom before?
If yes, follow my instruction to return stock ROM: + Restore all of stuff that you backup before.
-STEP 1: download HUAWEI GR5 Mini Firmware, extract, get the Software folder and UPDATE.app file.
- STEP 2: create dload directory in the memory card, copy UPDATE.app file to the above
-Step 3: up rom copied in dload by hard key, after the machine up, will lower to C900B300
(Press 3 Volume up + Volume down + Power at the same time, you have to unplug USB cable, if not working then try to plug USB cable... )
-STEP 4: Download the rom 6.0 you need, and copy it into dload folder (like step 1), after that, go step 3.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hon...model-t3455519
(source: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5c/how-to/roll-to-android-6-android-7-huawei-gr5-t3582525) thanks to tamnguyenuit!
After that, you will stay at android 6.0 Stock ROM and bootloader locked! Just need some time to upgrade to 7.0 via OTA. Goodluck, anything i could help, just ask ^^
I didn't backup the whole system with TWRP

1. Charging speed is fast but not faster than vooc/wrap charge
2. Standby is good as it really kills most of the apps in the background and screen on time is also above average so I can get around 5-6 for my usage.
Gonna test it more over the weekend as it's not my primary device so will share the results on Sunday
Sent from my vivo 1804 using XDA Labs
voov charging is good at 1st 30 minutes of 50 percent but takes last 50 percent at the same time like v11 pro.so at 100 percent and time is same for both f9 pto and v11 pro.
remember '11 pro double engine charging is equal too qualcomm charger 3.0 supported by qualcomm 660 chip set.
so vooc charging is just gimmick.
result '11 pro charging same as oppo f9 pro.
im statisfy with charging of v11 pro

Hello, So that's what I first flashed the Boot and then modified it. Great return to the original Kernel. Great.
"Anyway the modified Kernels it was never a great experience except at the time for my Oneplus 3 (Besides mods level and others, Oneplus, the biggest community) Then I went to Xiaomi, but pile l year in which they stopped updating Miui for years and returned to rank 2 years 3 major updates and 1 year of security. Fortunately the community is also not bad, but it all depends on the models. In short, I expected more hack on Google smartphones, but no."
Otherwise I have a problem with adaptive charging ? It worked well but since this summer no more adaptive charging at night ??? However, I put an alarm plug it in after 22h (PM) and alarm 6h (AM) with the original charger !!! No more adaptive load up to 80% then 100% at the end. I do not understand why ? if you have an idea ? Thank you
