[Q] accidental deletion of rootfiles

my dad uses the sgh-td49 model samsung galaxy tab and when trying to install an app, saw he didn't have space. he's not extremely tech savvy and went to delete all of the files listed under "my files" which unfortunately included the root files.
he has a few apps that he's paid for and doesn't want to lose through factory reset, and while i've tried to copy them to the sd, some don't have the function enabled. is there any way to restore the root files without resetting the tab altogether and losing data?
Copy any left over media files and images to External SD.
Copy your contacts and SMS through free apps available in market.[Search in Google Play]
Your Apps purchased under Google Play will remain in the same Google account.
So do a complete factory reset.
Register ur tab under same Google account and open Google Play and download ur previously bought apps.

contacts restore problem

hi. i need some help. i have Samsung Galaxy S. instal Android 4.0.4 Dark Knight 3 on my phone. before i had Android 2.3.4. i backup my contacts and now i can't restore it. my phone doesn't connect to kies. how can i fix it?
Custom roms can not connect to kies! You should've known this by now.
The best way is to save your contacts in google account. Search in the kies folder the extension of that backup, if it was saved in .csv you just have to import it in google and that's it, if not, bad luck.

Synchronize Your contacts with Google Account. It is really helpful! And after installing a fresh ROM contacts are downloaded automatically - so You won't even see the difference.

you can restore you contacts by using file manager
1) launch file manager
2) select the file xxx.vcf
3) your contacts will import to you phone.
hope this will help, good luck.

sync s note between devices

I would like to know how to autosync the s-note between devices. I have a gnote original and gnote 10.1
Samsung account has an option for autosync for s-note. However i have noticed that the notes are not sync between devices..
Anyone know how to make it work properly.. If possible I would like to avoid dropbox option.
Thanks for any replies
I've been working on that too. The solutions I found:
1) Install a JB leak on the Galaxy Note. SNotes should be synced with Samsung Account and you will be able to view/edit them on both devices.
2) If it doesn't work or you don't want to install a JB leak, use a folder syncing app like Folder Sync, and sync the SNote folder on the SD card with Google Drive or Dropbox. It should be setup the same way on both devices. However, if you are using ICS on the Galaxy Note, you will only be able to see the notes created on the Note 10.1, not edit them (it blanks the page when you do that). I think that's because of version differences.

Unable to Update Samsung APPS in Latest May Security

Dear All,
Usually I do not have any problem update any Samsung apps download from APKMIRROR including touchwizhome....After updated to May Security Patch, today, I try to install 6-8 latest Samsung apk from APKMIRROR like messages, weather, touchwizhome etc all failed with 'package conflicts with an existing package with the same name'...So, Samsung started to block old model to update to latest version?

1)You can update above mentioned system apps from either play store or galaxy apps If available officially for your device by samsung
2)If you still forcefully wanted to update those apps then ofcourse you need to root your device and replace the downloaded system apps to directory system/app or system priv-app respectively their original location by renaming them same as the original apk ( For eg. To update message you need to rename the downloaded apk same as you will find in system/priv-app/message related folder and apk in it)

HELLO, EVERYONE, GALAXY NOTE 9

HELLO, Guys, I'm using a Samsung note 9, and recently I got deleted my data from Samsung secure folder and secure folder recycle bin. is there any way to recover those data?
Unless it was backed up by your Samsung account I don't think so.
Any old SmartSwitch backups? Not sure if it grabs that or not.
