Boot up issue - Xiaomi Redmi 4X Questions & Answers

I am unable to boot my phone up this morning, i charged it overnight but it doesnt seems like it is a software issue, nothing respond while i press the power button or boot into the recovery, it just a dead black screen, this is a very valuable phone for me and anyone know what is this problem. Battery was all good while i was using it last night and everything works perfectly except sometimes there is a network issue.

Phone not booting

I am having a problem with my phone and I'm sure there is a solution for it but I must not be using proper keywords to pull up posts. So I went through the first time flasher's guide and followed it all perfectly, got hardSPL flashed, resynced my phone then flashed the new ROM and it booted fine the first time and I was making a call then my phone turned off, rebooted once and claimed my battery was low which I know it isn't because it was a fully charged battery when I began all this, then it died again and hasn't booted since. I tried plugging it in to my computer's USB port and the charge light does not turn on. If I hold the softkeys and press the reset button or the power button (regardless of it being unplugged and running on battery) it comes up with the screen asking if I wish to restore factory defaults. When I do this it makes no difference in the device booting. When I press the power button the green light will remain solid for a short amount of time then turn off. I don't want to think this is a bad flash because it did work for a bit of time and I was going around and messing with settings and such, is there another possible reason for this and is there a way I can restore my phone to either stock FW or a different CFW?
The CFW I flashed can be found here
Thanks in Advance!
Just sounds like you have a faulty battery to me. Has it got wet somehow lately or leaked slightly?
It was a faulty battery, it had dents in it and I didn't happen to think that the cell inside the battery got damaged, got a new battery in there and its working great now.

blank/black screen after boot - frozen? gulp. . help

Howdy,
So I flashed my phone to cm4.2 last weekend and everything has been quite dandy. But I now I have a problem, and I kind of doubt its from the cmod because that was a week ago and this problem happened yesterday...
Yesterday I was talking on the phone until the battery died. Then I rushed to my charger and plugged it in. I tried to turn it back on but it would not. It goes to the G1 screen then to the CM boot animation screen then the screen turns BLACK! IT will not stop doing this. I have to keep pulling out the battery. Last night I even pulled out the SIM and battery for a few minutes. Then put them back and tried again. Same result. I charged it fully last night (while off) thinking that might help. This morning after the LED light was green I tried again to reboot the phone.. Also sometimes the phone will do this reboot sequence after I plug the charger in, but it still goes to the blank/black screen... awww..
I am really hoping I do not have to wipe the phone and start over again with my apps and stuff because I have not really found a great free backuper and have not backed up within the last few days. I can use home+end call button to get to the bootloader (right name?) screen. However I am REALLY hoping I do not have to wipe.
Any solutions? I tried searching but could not find an answer..
THANKS!! This is basically terrible timing too because I leave on vacation tomorrow morning and will be needing my phone.

xperia sp wont turn on

hello my friend, recently i got my phone out of my pocket. i realized it was off. i tried to turn it on but nothing, then i pressed the off button on the back and it went on. stayed on for a couple of minutes, then the it frozen, the screen faded and it went off again. i left it the whole following morning charging, when i came back it turned on, stayed on for a couple of minutes (a little bit more of the previous time) then again same thing. if i charges it has a red light (sign that it is charging) if i disconnect the charger and try to switch it on it flashes 3 red light then it stops, and then again three red lights. i tried to charge it via computer but it wont be recognized, i also tried volume up and power button, volume down and power button, and the off button on the back. at the service center they say it cannot be fixed because it is out of warranty since the screen as been replaced by unofficial service. after a bit of charging it turned on today, but soon went off. i need help, i would at least want to know what the issue is. thanks a lot. ps. i can manage to let it work
Maybe try using flashtool to flash software. Don't wipe anything except maybe cache or so. See if that works

i flashed an old backup a few days ago, this backup used to work really well but i have been having this issue since more than a week and it gave me the same problem also with this backup. now i have wiped the chache via cmw. i will wait untill the phone gets to 50 percent of battery, then try to use it without the charger. i'll keep in touch

i wiped the chache . it worked for a couple of hours, then it went off. now when i try to charge it it shows no signs of life at all. does someone know if this could be a hardware issue? like the battery or something

Note 4 Black Screen and no boot - here's what worked for me

Today I received a call and my SM-N910T seems to have locked up while ringing. The screen was black, buttons did not work, power button did nothing. The ringer continued playing until I pulled the battery.
When I replaced the battery tried to restart, nothing happened but a the brief initial boot vibration. The screen remained black. I had the same result trying to enter download mode or recovery mode (after pulling the battery again for each try).
I read several articles about holding down power while the battery was out to "discharge remaining power", leaving the battery out for 10 minutes, etc. I tried booting to recovery and download maybe 10 or 20 times with varying delays with the battery taken out. Nothing worked. Always the same result - black screen, and the short vibration (sometimes it would keep repeating the vibration every few seconds). Other articles recommended factory reset and returning to Samsung.
Finally I plugged in a USB cable to a computer (with the battery inserted after another pull). The screen then activated and showed the battery charging icon. From there, I was able to press the power button and boot normally.
After booting, everything seems fine. I have no idea what the problem is or was. I hope this tip helps somebody else.
This happened to me again. Phone unresponsive - no boot, no download mode, no recovery mode, no display when charging. Trying any of these things just results in a short vibration, or a repeating vibration every few seconds. This time, plugging into the computer USB did not work. The phone immediately vibrated, but did not do anything else.
I kept trying multiple times, with the same result. No boot, no download mode, no recovery mode, no display for charging. Battery pulled between every attempt. Battery had a reasonable charge (75%). SD Card and SIM pulled.
Finally I had an idea and tried plugging it into the original Samsung fast charger. That caused it to display the battery charging image, and from there it booted normally.
I don't know if was the fast charger, the number of tries, or just luck, but that is what worked this time.
If anyone has other information on this problem, please post it. There are lots of "black screen" posts, but none seem to have a working solution.

Phone constantly turning off

Hi.
I have a major problem with my HTC One M7. I had been using Tesla OS for quite some time, and decided to upgrade it. All of it seemed to work fine. However, just as I declined a coming call, the screen turned black. I was able to enter hboot/fastboot screen, but when I have tried to turn it on, the OS image just flashes and it turns off again. Same is with the TWRP, a loading screen is visible for a split second, and it just goes black. Everything seems to work fine when I completely discharge it to 0% and charge it back on again. I have done a factory reset and flashed a stock ROM, but the problem persists, after some time the screen just goes black and it is the same all over again (the image of OS/TWRP comes on for a sec and then the screen goes black). The only solution so far is to charge it out (by leaving it on the white hboot screen) and then charge it again, but it is impossible to use the phone like that. Maybe someone has already overcome this problem or has any ideas on how to do it? Any help will be appreciated!
