Hello everyone,
I have absolutely no experience with technology. I have one problem, my Android system won't update since I bought it. I did fabric reset but it didn't help. My friend who also has mi a2 has updated her system without any problem. Do you have any suggestions what to do?

Hello everyone!
I've just successfully rooted my HTC One under Android 4.4.2 and installed OneDroid, but I'm having a serious issue with it.
Essentially, it works just fine. However the UI (com.android.systemui) crashes as soon as I unlock my phone and keeps crashing every 2 seconds until I do a factory reset.
Do you have any idea how to solve this?
Could you also please tell me which model my phone actually is? I bought it in Switzerland, not simlocked.
I need this information, because I want to know which stock firmware to install, if ever needed.
Thank you in advance for helping me.
Hi,
My fiancé was very happy with her Xiaomi Mi A2 until last week when it was basically bricked by the bootloop bug after an update.
We got our money back from the retailer so now we are in the market again for a new phone. However, she doesn't like any other phone.
What are the chances that a new Mi A2 will be bricked again by a future update? Is it safe to order a new one? Or should I convince her to buy something else?
Thanks for your reply,
Kind regards,
QD
Did you have the 4/64 or 6/128 version that bricked?

I had the 4/64 version.
which update exactly ?
Not sure about the exact build number but it was a security update in march, after the PIE update.
I had the bootloop issue, too. Update from stock Android 8 to Android 9 worked well, but second update to April 2019 security update failed and ended in a bootloop. Thank's to A/B update, see https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...ess-updates-affect-custom-development-on-xda/, the phone managed to boot the old firmware after some failed retries. Finally a manually initiated update worked.
My perception is, that updating immediately after a previous update might cause a race condition in the update. After the first boot in the new firmware some post boot processes are running (cleanup?) - running an update in parallel might cause the issue.
Xiaomi support suggested a hard reset; power + volume-up, main menu, wipe data
Luckily this wasn't necessary.
Hi
so i recently bought mi a2 , which i updated on same day and it got stuck on Android logo. multiple users faced this issue.
i called Amazon and they sent ne replacement.
this time, I disabled auto update through Developer option. however phone still downloaded this march 2019 update. now its just waiting on restart, while i am making sure that i dont restart.
screenshot attached.
how to get out of this situation. I do not want want to replace again since there is no point
build number
is there a way to know build number of this upcoming upstate before installing
Before restarting the phone, eject the sim card and then hit restart
One person has the same issue. phone not able to switch off and not able to restart the device.
Hi, I broke the display, bought a new one on aliexpress.
Installation succeeded. The display worked.
The phone asked for an update (Some version of Android 9, probably the penultimate before Android 10), which I did. After booting, but did not working touch screen ..
I did the factory settings, but that didn't help.
I didn't deal with the phone for some time, I thought that another system update would fix the bug.
Yesterday the phone got an update to Android 10, I installed it here, made the factory settings. But the touch screen still doesn't work. (I control the telephone via the OTG adapter)
I read how to do a downgrade, but by doing an update on Android 10, I about closed the option that is described here . https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7-plus/how-to/finally-downgrade-phone-official-t3849437
I read a lot of discussions and came to the conclusion that I probably bought the wrong display.
Or is there a solution? Downgrade system? Upload another touch panel firmware?
Now this is on the phone Touch panel firmware version: 07 Goodix-V1.017.20.
I attach a photo display, it might help something.
Is there any way to identify my touch problem?
Thank you for any help
Hello everyone,
Lately I have been bashing my head against the wall because of the following issue: Wifi and Mobile Data do NOT WORK not mattering what I do. Apparently this happened after a Android 10 update while it was with its previous owner. Tried reflashing the stock rom (Android 10) and also tried flashing Lineage, but in both cases, it didn't do a thing. Does anyone knows what is happening?
Thanks in advance.
