Good morning, my name is Gary, I am a new member of the forum and I write from Italy!
Some friends of other forums I was told to ask the community Xda to try to help me.
I bought a car radio 2 din dedicated for my Peugeot 308.
The seller does not know how you update a lollipop. He sent me a bin file to update the MCU.
This is the MCU before the upgrade:
HMI: KUDO.010.2016.10.28.3.50
MCU: TS901.170120
MEDIA: v1.0.0_2016.10.18.5.0
BTV: BT.15.12.01.1040
DVDROM: Nand.152101_860C.050017
This is the MCU after the upgrade:
HMI: KUDO.010.2016.10.28.9.50
MCU: TS-IL.170109
BTV: BT.15.12.01.1040
DVDROM: Nand.152101_860C.050017
Then I installed hardware CPU information to understand what kind of components does my radio and I found that it is jelly beans 4.2..2 and not kitkat 4.4.4. and this is the result:
Android Version 4.2.2 jelly bean
Model AC83xx (core x4)
Manufacturer ATC
Device ac8317
Product generic_ac8317
Brand Android
Build JDQ39E
There is a stock rom to make the upgrade?
Thank you all for the help!
Hi Gary,
Hi Gary,
I also have a peugeot 308 with the same 2 din device where there are problems with it.
I would like to have that update from you.
thank you in advance,
Dan
Hi to all
I own a EONON GA7153 and I would like your help for flashing the correct software.
The MCU Version doesn't help to identify if the device is MTCB or MTCD. It does no contain the MTC variant. The specs are:
Processor type: Quadcore-R16
Android 6.0.1
MCU Version: 5.3.19-122-12-C0301-170309
System version: V7.3.1_20170314.122224_KLD1-0-1
DVD version: 2.13.15-1200xh-150417
Which is the correct software to flash?
Any help much appreciated! Thank you in advance!
(If I am in a wrong section, please move the thread. Thanks.)
did you have any luck with this, im kinda stuck as well ive got the GA7150
I think you have a MTCD KLD unit. They are not selling MTCB with android 6.0 AFAIK.
I have a GA7163
MCU version: 5.3.19-122-50-C03101-170309
System version: V7.3.1_20170314.122224_KLD1-0-1
DVD version: 2.13.15-1200xh-150417
Have you done anything with your unit yet?
I rooted mine but never made a backup of my system and was messing with it and accidentally corrupted my su binary trying to convert it to chainfires supersu which i messed up broke my root and my ability to root so if you do end up doing anything with it make sure an do a backup and if you would please share your backup with me so I can fix my mistake our system version is the same so it should work in mine

No theyre not or they would say "MTCD" in the MCU section.
Eonon rebadge units from a variety of manufacturers, they dont just sell MTC units.
The best advice I can give other posters here is to look through the Android headunits general section for devices with similar MCUs, devices with "R16" in the processor field use Allwinner cpus, which will also help identify the units.
Hi,
I have an Xtrons unit which I have had for over 18 months, I would really like to update the firmware to something newer but don't know were to look, my units details are as follows:-

hi, you have an MTCD. Head on over to MTCD forums and browse through options there.

After uploading the firmware from the Joying site, the yellow banner "MCU not found" appears to me. This is the radio: 7001 7inch Universal Android 6.0 Car Multimedia Player - BLACK 252
link to the store: https://www.gearbest.com/car-dvd-player/pp_1554023.html?wid=1433363
Where to download the MCU?
Hey guys, I bought a generic head unit from a supplier. Turns out the unit was updated a while back and the customer support is pretty bad. Was wondering if there's any custom ROM i could flash the Head Unit to bring it up to date?
Current specs:
Android Version 8.1.0
Baseband Version: FM_Base_18A_RLS2_ISHARKL2_W18.35.1|sc9853_modem|08-27-2018 02:25:35 Marlin2_17b_iot_W18.41.3|marlin2_cm4|10-10-2018 13:14:02
Build Number: OPM2.171019.012 release-keys
System Info: APP 1024x600 2019-01-15 16:18:17
CPU Info: Intel Airmont eight-core 1.8GHZ 4+64 GB SC9853
MCU Version: 2019.01.24 11:04:37 NOR_53_C63L_G32P48F64_Ver:1.0
BT Version: BLINK_8761ATV_RELEASE2/2019:01:09:14:05:17_blink
BTW, Any chance anyone know who's the MCU developer for this unit?
It's not an MTC(B,C,D, or E) so unlikely to be answered in the MTCB forum.

I have the same head unit albeit a different MCU and BT version.
Mine is a Funrover head Unit. The customer support sent me a link to an update but I don't think it's as up to date as yours.
I'm having problems with unstable display . This problem has been going on for over 12 months and the customer support keeps sending me around in circles.
If you still have have your update information I would greatly appreciate the link.
