As per the title, I'd like to have your opinions on the most stable custom rom for day to day use and state WHY you feel so.
This would mean that it is nearly bug free. Would be great if you guys could share the pros n cons of each custom rom of that you have used
ie pros - no reboots, no incoming call vol issue
cons - network operators showing as unknown
Bear in mind its about daily use so great gaming experience n nenamark dont matter.
Thank you all so much for your opinions!
to me the most efficient rom is Sharp ROM for daily use. I root it and removed the bloatwares, and I got the most efficient ROM, be it touch smoothness, speed or battery backup. I use to get rare occasional restart, might be due to removal of many system applications.
pros : it is stock rom, so everything is working, no issues whatsoever.
cons : no oc custom kernel ( doesn't matter to me, normally I use to keep it underclocked) . can't tell about gaming experience with it.
PS : I installed 'Notification Toggle ' from market to get toggles, shortcut or direct applications from the notification bar. it is more than what we get in miui /cm7 notification bar. for 4-way boot I use 'power ' from one of FR 's miuis. I use GO launcher, contact and SMS and happy.
I really dont like this kind of threads. It become quickly out of control. And every rom is good, depending of your personal preferences and use. And the work of every developer is respectable. And already exist a similar thread. So I am closing this. Just one advice: try all, and decide by yourself. Best regards,
In my Battery usage media server takes very much battery?
What is media server? And why it take alot battery?
Forget about media server. On stock roms there are many bloatware, go to apps and disabilitate everything what you don't like. Keep under control only the life of the battery and not what is in the list.
Hi, can someone suggest me some methods to decrese battery consumption?
I Use Cyanogenmod v11 nightly updated every day (installed gapps too).
Can you suggest me apps (free) that can help me or tips.
Thanks

uninstall all apps which you're not using
after all most of battery life problems are caused by 3rd party apps, even those who say they will "decrese" battery consumption
and you can install some battery tweaks scripts like those ones http://forum.xda-developers.com/opt...t/tweaks-personal-collection-scripts-t2937573
next thing you can do is underclock cpu - I think 1300 Mhz is still smooth and it will save some juice.
Hello! I've found the best custom rom + kernel for my needs and I wanted to share with you guys.
In my opinion the smoothest, good battery backup (8-9 hours sot) and performance combo is Pixel Experience + and Predator kernel. To make all of your apps work properly enable force fulllscreen mode for any of them . Now let me share with you guys some battery tweaks:
1. Install Naptime and make sure that these options are enable:
https://imgur.com/a/TR0EV5d
2. Restrict any app in the background that you don't need to work in the background, like these apps:
https://imgur.com/a/INZF0Bi
3. Disable unused default apps like these:
https://imgur.com/a/PAqMJpr
and disable Google Assistant if you don't use it ( if you disabled Google app you will not found Search, Assistant and voice in the settings ): Settings - Google - Account services - Search, assistant and voice - Google Assistant - Assistant - General - Disable Google Assistant. Also disable location/ Find My Device, automatically data sync for apps.
4. Disable automatically backup for Google Photos.
Here are some apps which I use it and it will make your life easier:
- Youtube and Youtube Music without ads ( no need to root ): https://vancedapp.com/
- Magisk, needs to be flashed in custom recovery: http://www.mediafire.com/file/vzf3re143yb68uc/Magisk-v21.1.zip/file
- Google Camera. You will need to install "Remove Google Camera" module in Magisk first if you have it already installed in your rom, the link for this module is this one: http://www.mediafire.com/file/bhm6dhrrnqiar2d/RemoveGCam.zip/file
Google Camera ( if you don't have it already installed as default camera, you can install it as any apk file, no need to root ) , this is the download link for it: http://www.mediafire.com/file/eogevstxhlq0yvv/MGC+7.4.201+Parrot043+V1.1.apk/file
- L1 Security patch that will make Netflix stream more than SD: https://www.mediafire.com/file/85mrfht25lzjfjx/DRM_L1_Patch.zip/file
( needs to be installed in Magisk )
- I also changed the default launcher because it's not that customizable, and I found this launcher to be more customizable and well optimized:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/p6uxixksr05w17w/Systemless_ShadyLauncher-v1.5.zip/file
- If you want to have Dolby Atmos install these Magisk modules ( Install in this order ):
1. Audio Modification Library: http://www.mediafire.com/file/wigiq7cxf488frr/1.Audio_Modification_Library-v4.0(55).zip/file
2. Audio Configuration Database:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/hwj1zqs2a695hrz/2.ACDB-0.49.zip/file
3. Restart after you installed the first and the second module.
4. Dolby Atmos:

- Dark boot animations to not kill my eyes when I boot my phone in the evening  :
Android 10: https://www.mediafire.com/file/d4r6edkq5y9xl98/Android-10-Dark-Bootanimation-%28v1.0%29.zip/file
EvolutionX:
EvoX DARK Bootanimation systemless
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

All these files I shared with you I am sure that have no viruses. I hope that I helped you and I have a question for you guys: What is the best combo for your needs? What custom rom and what kernel?
?thanks

Always glad to help!
Please Hit Thanks if you love this tutorial It really helps a lot!
I use PE + with stock kernel without any tweaks and I get about 8 hours sot.
Those tweaks just **** up performance and multitasking
So in terms of performance it is worse

Everyone has their own personal opinion. But I don't think that restricting apps to work in the background, Naptime or disable some bloatware can negativity affect the performance. On the contrary, it should improve performance and battery life.

Yeah ofc
Everybody uses their smartphones differently.
I use lot of multitasking.
Before i had miui it was so agresive on killing apps. That's why i switched and i use PE and it's beautiful.
And I tried storm breaker.. little difference in battery Life but it wasn't that smooth and fast as stock kernel.
At least for me

It doesn't have any effect multitasking in any way. The apps still don't refresh after leaving them in the background, the apps remains normal.
Use PE plus +Predator 9.1 very good working.
Best sound mod for lavender.

I have a bad experience with this application from all devices that i used in all my life. Facebook is like a devil for the battery juice. It makes things easy when navigate but it drains my battery more than any other application and more than hardwares themself (wifi, 4G, bluetooth, screen...) Now i fond my self using the Facebook by google chrome it's not the same experience of the application but my battery is happy now
No social media, shopping, banking or charge card apps should ever be installed. Browser login only.
fb, lol I have another name for it. Heavily censored, data miner and epic purveyors of biased disinformation. An untrusted site to put it mildly.
you can check the news, some exemployer reveled that, the fb and instagram apps eat the battery on porpuse

Interesting. Don't know about being illegal but no one needs to be beta testing unknowingly
Trashware and malware. Even with browser login fb wastes your time and battery.
Moving to FB lite can help you to save few %, disable all notification and enable battery optimisation for the app ... nothing more can be done unfortunately.
