MOTO G5S PLUS — oscillating wifi signal - Moto G5S Plus Questions & Answers

Hi everyone!
my Moto G5S Plus recently presented a problem with instability in the wifi connection. It only resolves when I put in airplane mode and activates it.
- I already installed a complete rom that I found here in the forum.
- I have already reinstalled the modem by fastboot
- When connected by wifi from another cell phone works great.
talking to lenovo support, at least the person who answered me is not aware of the problem. And I've seen several cases in the lenovo forum about this problem, but all without soluction.
Information about phone:
- Band base version: M8953_41.50.07.09.01R SANDERS_BRAZILDSDS_CUST
- Version number: OPSS28.65-36-6
- Android Version: 8.1.0
- Security Patch: December, 1, 2018.

LG G4 [H-81120o] on CyanogenMod 13.0 (Latest Nightly) Slow Data Speed HELP

Hello everyone,
I've been a lurker here for a bit, and this is my very first post.
By following a few guides here, I was able to successfully install CyanogenMod 13 (latest nightly) and OpenGApps (nano). Everything works fine, and I'm very happy with the custom ROM; however, I noticed that the data speeds are definitely not LTE even though it shows on the reception signal symbol that it is, indeed, LTE. In fact, it has slowed down to the point where I can barely use Google Maps, and it's almost impossible to load a webpage, much less download an app. I'm also experiencing spotty reception. I did not have either of these problems before installing Cyanogenmod.
The following is some information about the phone:
Carrier: MetroPCS
Device Model: LG-H811
Android Version: 6.0.1
CyanogenMod Version: 13.0-20160720-NIGHTLY-h811
Cyanogen API Level: Fig (6)
Android Security Patch Level: July 5th, 2016
Baseband Version: MPSS.BO.2.5.c3-00109-M8992FAAAANAZM-1
Kernel Version:
3.10.84-g388f293
[email protected] # 1

Build Date: Tue Jul 19 21:47:12 PDT 2016
Build Number: cm_h811-userdebug 6.0.1 MOB30R 3324d5e32 test-keys
SELinux status: Enforcing
From what I have seen this is what's provided to solve most problems. I'm a little clueless as to exactly what information I should provide, so please guide me and I'll provide it accordingly. Also, I did some searching and did not see any forum thread addressing this issue. If I scrolled right past it, or if I'm just plainly blind, and there is indeed a thread about this with a fix, then please post the link and close this thread.
Some help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
fadam00

Wifi calling and texting?

I am running and old rooted G900A still on 4.4.2.
I haven't updated for so long that I am having a hard time deciphering what steps I would take to flash a new rom and if it would be worth it or not.
One thing that is convincing me to make the jump to a higher OS is wifi calling and texting seems to be available, however I hardly see any mention of it anywhere in the forums. Does anybody know what version of Android I'd need for wifi calling and texting and if I have to be unrooted/rooted, stock rom, custom rom?

Thanks. I think for me it might even be worth it to unroot and go back to stock and update to at least the 6.0 version you mentioned, or the latest ATT version available if that's what I need to do to get wifi calling and texting. Now I just need to figure out the best way to do that...

Any opinion?: firmware choice: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T810

Any opinion?: firmware choice: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T810 [moved from Android General Q&A]
I'm looking for best bets for choosing a good firmware update for this older SM-T810 tablet that I still like. It is Wifi-only.
The tablet recently got very flaky on Android 5 so I let it install an auto-downloaded image for Android 6. The new image probably came from Samsung since I was told at purchase that device had official Samsung firmware for Android 5.1.1. (see ABOUT DEVICE below)
Things got worse using the new Android 6 image, so bad that I'm ready to install new firmware by sideloading.
1. Since the device was rooted by prior owner (see: DEVICE HISTORY below for details) I am guessing I have little to gain by sticking with an official Samsung image--unless nothing else works. Does that sound right? And, does anything prevent me from going the non-Samsung route?
2. If it makes sense at this point to try a non-Samsung image, my question for folks here boils down to this: where am I likely to have the best luck finding a build that will work well on the device? For example, I wonder
who are the most experienced makers of firmware for this older tablet?
and which version of Android--7 or 8? Should I avoid 8 or go for it?
(I've seen an unofficial Lineage OS build for Android 8. I believe that Android 7 builds exist, too.)
Thanks for any suggestions.

(I've waited so long to update because a) I seldom use the tablet and b) seller said that he'd had problems with a German Nougat and had reverted to official Android 5.1.1. )

[DEVICE HISTORY, as far as I can say:
I bought in 2017 on swappa.com. Seller told me "What you would get out of the box is the official Samsung OEM firmware for Android 5.1.1 (XAR-T810XXU2BPB1-20160323135521) with the official Samsung recovery. Updates will apply without issue, either by directly loading with Odin or SmartSync, or doing an OTA firmware update....It is running pure stock firmware now. Since it was rooted at one point, the Samsung Knox flag is tripped. It's the only thing that would distinguish this device from a new-in-box tablet."]

Thanks. I didn't know it had GTS210 gpu.
Notebookcheck.net and Wikipedia show it as ARM Mali-T760 MP6.
Whatever, Lineage OS 15.1 doesn't seem to have any serious competition. Hope it works when I try it--first time jitters!
I got N on mine for a long time. Now I get O 15.1 linesgeos now. It looks like the best for gts210wifi for now.

IPv6 not working only with LineageOS on the Xiaomi Mi8 (dipper)

Hi all,
I have some kind of weird issue with LineageOS on my Mi8 that prevent me from using IPv6 through the mobile network. I'll give you the maximum information so it could be easier to find what went wrong.
So, first, I can confirm that IPv6 will work on my Xiaomi Mi8 (dipper) with the stock ROM (MIUI) but also from others Xiaomi devices with the stock MIUI ROM (both my parents use a Xiaomi with Miui with the same ISP as I do and using the same antenna) and I can also confirm that it will work on Lineage (with an old unofficial version on a spare phone) on the Xiaomi Redmi 4 (Prada).
It will also work on the Mi8 through Wi-Fi, it's only IPv6 through mobile network who doesn't work.
So I can confirm that on the ISP side, everything work. Using the stock ROM, it will work. Using Lineage on another Xiaomi phone with the same sim-card, it will work. But for a reason that I can't find, on the Xiaomi Mi8 with the latest nightly (or even other variant, like Lineage for microG that I usually use), it will not work. The APN show IPv6 only in the settings (I forced it and confirm it saved the settings) but only IPv4 work.
Xiaomi Mi8 - dipper who doesn't work :
- Android version: 10
- LineageOS version: 17.1-20201231-NIGHTLY-dipper
- Lineage OS Api level: Ilama (9)
Xiaomi Redmi 4 - prada who work:
- Android version: 6.0.1
- LineageOS version: 13.0-20170219-UNOFFICIAL-prada
- Lineage OS Api level: Fig (6)
Is there some kind of proprietary firmware I need to flash?
I can do some test since I already wiped and reinstalled from scratch, the phone is pretty much empty.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Android auto - no sound

Hi guys,
Two months ago, I've bought an android auto from aliexpress. Installed in my car and everything worked as expected until one month ago when suddenly the sound was gone.
I did a test with the old radio and the sound is working perfectly.
I've contacted the seller and he sent a software update, I've followed the steps but without any results.
All the wires are connected as initial installation when everything was working. As well, factory reset didn't help.
Any ideas or anyone else that had this issue and fixed?
Android details:
Android version: 10.
Kernel Version: 3.18.79
Build Number: full_8227L_demo_userdebug ...
Custom build version: alps-mp-o1-mp5
Thanks,
Andrei
