Hello guys,
I'd like to know if anyone here has experience of using a different brand charger to charge Foccus.
I have a Nokia E7 which comes with 1200ma microUSB charger. The one which comes with Focus is 700ma.
Since the battery of Focus is 1500ma rating, I guess there shouldn't be any issues?
Also, charging Focus via it's own charger takes too long to charge. So, using a 1200ma charger will charge it faster as well. Also, it's be far more easy to only plug one charger on power outlet.
Just want to be sure if anyone else has already tried non-Samsung charger with Focus, or any other recommendations / suggestions, before I plug my Focus with Nokia charger.
Thanks,
// chall3ng3r //
I've used a bunch of different methods to charge my Focus.
The supplied wall charger, a couple different car chargers, a motorola, LG, and Uniden wall charger, several USB ports on various computers...
So far, no magic smoke has escaped...
Hi,
Thanks for your reply and giving me some idea to try our the Nokia charger with my Focus.
As soon as I read your reply, I put my Focus on charge, and it's more than 20 mins without any smoke
I guess it'll be just fine
Thanks again.

I've also used and successfully swapped chargers for:
Omnia 2
Omnia 7
LG E900
Focus
Any charger/phone combo worked, with no issue.
Hello guys,
Are you still charging with other chargers? , have you gotten any issues yet?,
Please comment cuz I really bored to wait the slow and annoying charging of my standart package.

I also bought from ebay one additional battery and a battery charger (charges the battery directly). Works perfectly. (If interested, search "BATTERY USB CHARGER FOR SAMSUNG i9000").
With 2 batteries you don't need to wait for a charge/leave the phone to charge. I just leave the other battery to charge and swap it when the one in the phone is low. Besides, you have a backup this way too.
I'm charging with microUSB Nokia charger, Nexus One charger, and even iPhone charger with microUSB cable. There is no issue.
I'm using the charger from a Galaxy Ace and no issues.
I have used LG optimus charger and iPad charger (Which comes with 2100 ma output) no issues. But none of these changed or reduced the charging duration (including iPad's!!!)... It is taking 2.5 to 3 hours to completely charge... USB ports output is generally 300ma-500ma, so definitely not recommended!!
I ordered the Moto G as a gift for my sister. The only USB charger she has is the one that came with her iPad Air. Will that one by OK for the Moto G? It is over 2A (2.4A I think) and I read somewhere that Apple doesn't follow the USB charging standards.
If anybody tried the Moto G with the ipad charger please let me know!
Thanks

I tried at my brother's home and it works
Thanks! How fast does it charge? I read somewhere that it could charge with just 0.5A (so really slow) even though the charger is over 2A, is this true?
So, does the iPad charger charge the Moto G at a good speed?
@2014 yes it should charge quickily
Thanks. She tried it and she said the ipad charger charged the Moto G in about 1 hour, which seems fine.
I have a generic 2.1a charger see pics... 1 h 14 min to full from 25%
according to motorola moto g can only use 1,5a max... even if the charger has more power it does not use all...
I thought the device would heat more using this 2.1a charger, but not the same as the 500mA or 850mA... my came with a 850ma charger...

Technically, the phone will automatically reduce the voltage and Ampe it receive. So just plug it in your phone and it does the rest for you.
I have so many chargers in my house, HP Touchpad, Motorla X910, Moto G, amazon 9w2A etc...
just plug into the Hp touchpad or amazon if I wanna charge fast. And the other which isn't in hurry
totally safe ! Unless you intend to use with while charging and the over-heat may cause a problem
This is truly weird. I can now only charge my Verizon Droid Turbo with a USB port on the computer or the charger from a Google Nexus 7 tablet or the car charger. No other charger works including the one that came with the phone. Turbo charging stopped working months ago, but I really didn't care because I didn't need it.
Anybody heard of anything like this?
Bring the charger that came with the phone (and phone) of course to Verizon. They should be able to replace it.
Appreciate the quick response
I will to that but I really want to know how this could have stopped charging on all the chargers it was working with just 2 days ago. These same chargers work with anything but this one phone.

I'm guessing one is charging via data connection, the rest knows it's charge mode?
I have exact issue. My phone actually drains s few percentage points while on the charger. If I plug into charger at night at 40%, my morning it is 3%. Assuming charger or cord was bad, I used old Droid Max cord. That worked for a few days, then not. Same with car charger. Now I am using Bose Sound link charger. Any ideas?
Hi,
So I've been using the Moto G for over a year now, and the attery is starting to give less and less usage per charge. Naturally, this demands faster charging speeds. I've read online that the Moto G3's in-box charger is very slow (now, no plug came with my Moto G3, just a USB cable). I've always used the plug from the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 (my previous phone), which is very good, but I'm wondering if my in-box cable is slowing down the charge coming to my phone, as the phone can take up to 2A from my power bank, but I believe only 1A from the cable.
Is this the problem?
Thanks.
I'd say the lead, if not faulty, makes no difference to the charge rate. But it's easy enough to use another and compare charge times.
If your G is still working fine in all aspects you may think of buying a new battery. If you do, make sure it's genuine OEM, there's tons of cheap crap that you should steer clear of.
I use different usb cables in different rooms to charge my Moto G 2015 Osprey and best charging speed is with the usb cable that came with mobile.. You need to try a different charger plug . also make sure cablke is not bent or broken or demaged.
If Battery is starting to give less and less usage per charge then it is not a charger issue it is a bettery issue. You need to calliberate your battery. Let battery go down to 1% and then fully charge without any interuption . This make improve it slightly .
Hi, Hello!
I have been a happy owner of oneplus 10 pro for some time now.
I bought an original wireless charger AIRVOOC 50W fo it, to my suprise the "warp" fast charging did not work...
I thought maybe the charger itself was demaged because the packing was open, i returned the product.
Ordered a new copy in another store, this time everything wrapped in foil.
Unfortunately, the new charger also does not charge with fast "warp" charging...
I do not know what the problem is, i connect the wireless charger to the original charger included with the phone, 80W with a USB A socket. Maybe it must be a wall charger with USB C type?
Please help me because i don't know what to do anymore....

I would try a type c charger. That is what I use. I can try my wireless charger in a few days with a 100w charger for you that is type a.
Thank you for your answer, I have to be sure that it's the fault of the brick with the USB-A input, I don't want to spend money in vain, and unfortunately the original chargers from OnePlus are quite expensive.
So I tested mine with the 125w oneplus type a charger and my wireless charger works fine.

I am using my wireless charger with the 80W that comes with the phone too (cable A to C) and it's working great, I have the 50W wireless
Do you have the '' silent charging '' unset in the battery parameters of your phone?
Thank you for your interest and willingness to help!
The problem turned out to be the original cable that came with the phone.
After connecting the cable to the phone, vooc fast charging works, I disconnect it from the phone, connect it to the wireless charger and bang, vooc fast charging does not work.
I changed the cable for another one and it WORKS!...
A very strange problem, and very unusual, but most importantly, it is solved!
Thanks again and take care!
