After update the phone in to March update I reset my MI A2 It show system storage size 13GB after restart the device it shows again 12GB
Is this normal?
(I already did a recovery factory reset, to no avail. It didn't change a thing.)
If 13Gb storage size for Android One is normal, then I'm rather disappointed.
For me it says 16gb XO,

Hello!
I recently got a Oneplus 3T and I installed resurrection remix (7.1.1) on it, I first formatted the system to get rid of the encryption and I didn't really pay attention to my storage. Today I went into twrp to take a backup of everything and I noticed that I only have 11gb free whilst I barely have anything installed...
After taking a closer look in windows explorer it shows that my device only has 25gb of storage space instead of 64gb...
How do I fix this?
EDIT: the OS shows that I have 54gb of total space but that I'm using 47.14gb and most of it is used by "System" @ 30gb... wtf?
Thanks!
Format your data via TWRP. Should fix your issue with 30GB of storage.
Having 47GB of free storage after first boot is perfectly normal.
had this issue on op3, format data (not wipe) in twrp fixed it
Hello
After flashed some roms and other root practices I lost at least 12 gb from my internal storage. I realy have not idea how can i recover it. Of course i wiped all date and make everything what newbie rootmeister should do. So...
have you any isues?
P.S.
In system it is showing me 2gb (full memory size)
and in Hisuite on desktop is 16gb but 13/14 is filled.
Sorry for my english. I know it isnt perfect.
Factory reset with stock recovery should fix it
Hi . How to fix this problem on my P8 Lite 2017 ? I can't download anything in internal storage
What did you do that made this happen? Rooted? Did you installed an app that does encryption, etc...
Factory Reset or changing Data or Internal Storage to "f2fs" filesystem in TWRP, would be my approach if I ever encounter that problem.
Backup important files.

I just debranded the phone from Vodafone C02 to C432
Huawei p8 Lite Storage Issue
My Huawei p8 Lite 2017 has a total storage of 16.00 GB and when I reset the phone I checked the storage and it said that there was only 3.96GB left!
and android 7.0 dose not take up that much space!!
when insert SD card it says it is a low powered one but on SD card I can see that it is!
How is possible that there is only available 103.33 GB out of 128 GB while other 128 phone have for example Galaxy note 9 111GB? If it says cause by A/B partitions, this seems like too much difference.

Also for 64gb version i can use 46.01gb. there is a little bit difference between actual size of storage for example my hard disk is 1tb(1024 gb) but i can use 930gb. thats how storage works. it is normal
edit: a/b partitions takes 2x system partitions than a only devices(every partition is twiced expect data) converted 64gb a2's storage is 50gb
I saw somewhere that you A/B takes up to 1 GB more. Well, it is around 6-8 gigs less than A device, this can be a huge downside for Android One devices without SD card. I guess my next phone wont be A One.?
@ond96, every partition has a version of Android on it self, so when update comes, it install it self on inactive partition, then when your phone ask for restart, it switches active partition to one that just got updated, and every time after new update rotate partitions.
So, if installed system occupies ~10GB x 2 .... there you go.
This is a big problem for 32GB versions of this phone, I have 64GB, and I don't mind.
Quick question: Is the available storage space on MIUI12.5 109GB available? I can see two websites that list the Mi9T Pro as having 109GB of available storage space but just wanted to see whether this was the same for everyone else.
Reason being - I recently decided to update the newest MIUI12.5 version so the updater would stop nagging me and bumped into some MiFlash errors which I assume are due to quirks with MiFlash and USB3 (Xiaomi really needs to give MiFlash some work). Whilst my third attempt at flashing went smoothly start to finish with no errors I just noticed that 109GB is the available space with about 6GB used. The capacity of /root under Solid Explorer is 112.95GB.
My gut tells me everything is fine but that means MIUI consumers a LOT of space. I'd garner the overall eMMC is probably 117GB formatted and obviously that's not all going to be available for use but I just want to make sure I'm not missing any GBs. I'm guessing a successful MiFlash resets the storage chip anyway.
If anyone can check their partition sizes on stock MIUI and give me a general idea that everything is sized normally I'd be grateful!
If you're short on time, a thumbs up will do!
