Hi all,
I've noticed that Pandora and Digitally Imported Music are no longer able to access the internet. I can't figure out what it could be. All other applications which require online access like the browser are functioning well. I have flashed various ROM's to see if that would fix it but to no avail. Have any of you gone through something like this? All comments welcome.
If you have data/wifi access and the app isn't connecting, and the same issue happens with multiple ROMs, chances are it is a bug in the app.

So basically few couple of days ago I have installed AMD3 rom, non-rooted.
Everything was fine, until I decided to test few Twitter apps.
Twitter, Carbon, Twicca and Plume. I wanted to decide finally which one is for me. Whatever. I can's say / blame exactly them but..who knows.
Few days ago my phone started to become unresponsive, and finally - totally unusable, with Google Play store constantly crashing.
What in fact is going on however is that:
logcat, top, gzip, ip, sh, and dumpstate, cspsa-service processes are constantly starting and...becoming a ZOMBIE processes.
Is there any known malware out there that we can blame for this?
Any ideas? I know i can make full reset, but the point however is that I need to know the rootcause, so I will appreciate any smart ideas / suggestions.

i dont think it has to do with twitter apps from google play, if you gotten them from google play because they are tested for virus by google
Try download a anti virus apk from the internet and install it
Like AssToast said, if you downloaded your apps from google's play store its very unlikely they include any malware. If you used other sources then it possible. The problem might be due to the rom, try an anti virus, if it doesn't work you can always flash the rom again and see if it works or restore stock.

I looked into it to find the source of the problem.
I deleted some apps, made some space on internal memory (who knows ?), I converted some updated system apps, to put it back in system partition using Link2SD.
I did it with [email protected]#!$%G google play services and, I lost the app during the process (it happens sometimes, especially with google PS)
I restarted my phone and surprise The brick became a rocket :victory: my phone is no longer lagging as before !!! So, I tried to find why. It was google play services. It is no longer installed on the phone since Link2SD "lost" it. :laugh:
Now, I have another problem : I can no longer open google apps. I only use the store, youtube, maps, and the contact sync service. :good:
So, here is my question : Is it possible to get rid of google play services without getting rid of associated apps like youtube, or store (others are very easy to change)

Google play services is a mandatory part of GApps, it's included in all variants of GApps.
You can use pico GApps if you want the basic stuffs. Or you can use the ROM without any GApps at all of you prefer.
And don't freeze or remove any apps if you don't know what it does.

I already know about gapps. My question is not about how much gapps I want on my phone, but how to still use it without gplay service.
This is the only apps that "need" another app to launch !! I don't need a Facebook play service to use Facebook or messenger apps ! Do you !?
So why gplay service is so important to launch apps !? It don't seems to be an all launcher.. It is not an account manager..
So waiting for a real answer, I started to look at aptoide to replace play store, because I know my question has poor chance to be answered.
I think I'm going to dive again in my YouTube & VLC RSS project to continue receiving updates from channels I follow without any YouTube app to run.

There is an Xposed module but unfortunately I dont remember its name. It could allow you to use Google apps without google play services.

Thanks for this useful answer. I was on the dev's thread yesterday. Unfortunately, it does not work with every apps. Still, its a useful module.
I'll put a link once I'm at home...

But it can't run every apps.
I'm surprised about this subject. I am not a developer, but if I were, I would try to create a tweak, an app, a module, I don't know something that could help people not to use Google play services app.

since 3 days my S6 won't load any apps, e.g. the YT-App needs a long time so show the videos and when I click on a video, the video description, the comment section etc. loads up, but the video won't load, until there's an error. Same sh*t with the GMAIL App. It won't update my mails (I knew that I had some new mails). I have this problem with a lot of apps, I also tried reinstall the YT-App (With the others ones I didn't try yet), but it won't work. I even tried different versions. I had to download the apk of the YT-App through the browser, because I can't download apps through the PlayStore. The problem can't be my internet connection, because when I try to watch YT in the browser everything works perfect. When I got this error I hadn't changed anything in my settings, or downloaded anything. I've got the newest firmware.
I hope you know how to fix my problem

hi all,
i bought a new s10 a couple of weeks ago and after setting up everything and installing all of my apps which come from the playstore I am randomly receiving spam whenever i unlock my phone or during the use of whichever app.
what happens is that either chrome or (after i have uninstalled chrome) the samsung browser came in front and opens some **** websites..
i hope someone can give me some advice/hint where to look at, before i have to resignate and start by scratch.
what i already tried, is to uninstall a lot of apps i could have imagined to be the culprit and i also installed things like airpush detector, hoping they could find something.

malware found and deleted.
I found this article...
What you have to do is… go to the Settings followed by Application Manager or Apps here you will find a list of all the installed apps in your android phone. So scroll downwards and you will find an Unnamed App with no thumbnail installed in your phone… most probably this app appears at the last of the list. Just uninstall this app and you are all set. All thing become normal and avoid installing apps from any of the unknown resources.
