I recently installed RR rom on my Phone and im having very low sound on my speaker. Its very dull compared to the stock rom and I cant even listen to tap sounds or notifications properly. I tried changing the file mixer_path.xml in vendor/etc folder in root directory and that almost caused me a problem but i fixed that. Please tell me how to fix the low sound ? and should i install a audio mode like Viper4Android or Dolby Atmos? but first tell me how to do it without the mod ? Please help asap. Thank you :fingers-crossed:

hi at all, i have a n7000 and my notifications sound are very low, i have this problem on the cm 10.2 and 11 , i have try to manage sound via setting pannel but nothing, can anyone help me?
regards
Duchit
Hi Duchit, you should go to settings>sounds and deactivate safe headset volume check box. if this donĀ“t solve the problem, you have find the DSP Manager (Cyanogenmod) and configure it as you like. If all fail, i recommend to install another kernel with volume gain, i have installed NX-Kernel on CM10.1 and works very good. (sorry for my english).
Regards.
Hi all. Running stock Nougat, rooted with the ARISE mod flashed which is working. However, I can no longer find the "mixerpaths.xml" file that I used to tweak to output higher volume through the headset.I was able to do that on all 6.X ROMS. I have noticed with ARISE/Viper that the sound really comes alive at higher than stock volumes. Does anyone know what file needs o be adjusted to accomplish the same thing on Nougat?

Hi, did you find a solution?
I saw an update in the Pixel Experience thread by @ApoorvTrikha that shared a flashable zip to fix the volume for phone calls whether in speakerphone mode or using the earpiece. I've created a Magisk Module that looks to fix this. I removed the /bin folder from the original flashable zip because it sent my phone into a bootloop, but the files in /lib and /lib64 seem to fix the volume issue on their own.
I do not know who first created the flashable zip so I could not give proper credit in the module. Lmk and I can at least send thanks here.
Let me know if this works for you! This worked for me while on latest Pixel Experience rom and on Magisk v16.
Instructions: Download and add the zip to Magisk modules.
What exactly does this fix? Does the earpiece only work in speaker mode during calls on custom roms?

The volume for many users on custom roms was very low while making a phone call. This issue happened regardless of whether the speakerphone was on or off.
Thanks. It worked for me as well
works perfectly on RR rom
This was fixed in yesterday's release of PIxel Experience but this may work for other roms that haven't fixed this yet.
Will this be good for and for and on rooted stock?

I'm not sure but it's worth a try. Since it's a Magisk module you can easily revert it. Please report back.
Is this compatible with Oreo? I'm on Lineage OS 15.1
Sent from my Moto G5 Plus using XDA Labs

I don't know if it will work on stock rom. You can try it but if you end up bootlooping you should find the Magisk uninstaller utility to roll back successfully.
I am using moto g5s devices android oreo 8.1 official rom during call my phone automatically to speaker ? even in android 7.1.1 also same issue.

will it work on android pie crDroid ROM?
Will it work in samsung galaxy note 8 rooted running android pie ????
I can't.
I can't adjust in-call volume.
Basically, what Im gonna do here is share my profiles on both apps. These profiles are the result of my experiment tuning the two apps and this is the configuration that I think provides the most significant improvement to the speaker output.
If you already have Viper and Dolby Atmos installed, you can go straight to importing my profile in Viper. You can download it here.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sAQsGZEhEhYNZEylQszjCGWHrrn767yn/view?usp=drivesdk
To do the import, all you have to do is simply copy all the contents inside the folder Viper4Android (in the zip) to the folder Viper4Android in your internal storage.
After that, you need to configure your EQ in Dolby Atmos similarly to my config. (There's no option to do profile import and export in Dolby, so you'll have to do it manually)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ad6eSeaXA3m6xbs2PED3C2rMxtf2l2Pz/view?usp=drivesdk
Now every time you wanna use the loudspeaker, you'll have to change the profile in Viper to akg v1.2.2 (to change the profile, click on the three dashes > Load Effect Profile > Pick your desired profile). After you're done and you wanna switch to your earphone, you can change it back to your personal profile. As for the dolby, just leave it like how it previously was.
If you dont have the apps installed, you can download them in magisk repository. These are the versions im currently using:
Dolby Atmos DAX 2.5.0.15_r1 by guitardedhero
Viper4Android FX Materialized v1.7(2.5.0.5) by Viper250, zhuhang, team_dewitt, ahrion, zackptg5
Just in case one or both of the apps not working for some reason, just install the module Audio Modification Library. It solved the problem for me.
What's the Dolby module name on magisk?
How did you install Dolby Atmos on the Mi A2? My phone always ends up in a bootloop when I try to get it.

Have you tried to install the specific build i used? I used that one because the other builds didnt work, but none of them caused my phone to bootloop.
Maybe it has something to do with the ROM or magisk version. Currently im on 9.6.10.0 ODIMIFE and magisk v16.0
Explain step by step how you installed Dolby with your build please.

Hi,
Almost all custom roms have mediocre/bad sound of Speaker and Earphones. There are solution for this issue and you may test it by yourself. It's works well for me and i tested this Fix on several custom rom's, all works fine. Test it on your own risk (make backup).
1) Install Sirene Audio as App, your phone have to be rooted (Magisc), when the app is installed - go to "control" and then press "install". this will fix the earphones sound.
2) Download and install Dolby from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mm-p-dolby-digital-plus-arise-20181115-t3868192
Credits for Dolby go to @repey6 from 4PDA
Credits for Sirenes Audio go to @nitojv @Al"capone @Vildanoff from 4PDA
Cant download sirenes audio apk, error 404 not found... Can you fix it? Thank you
