[Q] How to go back to old Google play?

Does anybody know how to prevent auto update of Google Play store? This new 4.0 version is not in my style and I would like to stay with older version.
Titanium Backup has "Market Tools". One of these tools is "Market Auto Updates" which presents a list of all your apps with their checkboxes for auto-updates. You can sort the enabled apps to the top, and you can "deselect all" to disable automatic updating for all apps

"Market Auto Updates" tool is available only in TB premium, so this solution is not for me.
Any other ideas?

Future releases may require mandatory updates; reverting to the older version might be temporary at best.

dual apps feature on custom roms?

Hi guys,
Recently though not so recent i flashed from miui 8 to cm 13 (waiting for 14.1 to be official). cm 13 was great and such, but then i came to download an app that i used on miui 8. then i realized that i cloned this app with the dual apps feature from miui 8. i got around this by using a new user with the cm 13. though this method doesn't seem effective. does anyone know how to get dual apps feature on cm?'
Use app called 'island' from greenify developer, it is still in early development tho... If u want something more stable, use parallel space or similar apps.

Titanium backup has a "Profile" feature, you select apps for dual-profiles and then change profiles on-the-go!
That's what I personally use for Wallets!

Google phone/dialer app for Moto G5+

Hi,
i am perfectly fine with stock ROM and only one thing i would like to have beside. And it is Google phone app with capability to do search nearby places right from the phone app and the capability to see who actually calling behind unknown number.
I see some apks on apkmirror, but latest nonnexus apk is from 2016. So i rather ask here first. Do you guys tried this app and can confirm it has all the features i would like to have? Is it possible to have this app on our phone?
Do you have link to app for our device?
Thank you

I pulled this from OpenGapps. Flash the following Google dialer framework in TWRP and install it from the playstore... All the features work for me.

Possible operator error. Also, this isn't designed for Oreo to begin with.

How is it possible user error if it wasn't designed for Oreo? you never mentioned what os it was meant for. In any case, it did not, in fact, work for Oreo. However I did successfully use it for 7. Thanks for your work.

At first, I was saying it's an operator error because it does work. Of course it doesn't work for Oreo it clearly states the date when I pulled the framework in May. The OP was asking to use an updated dialer in stock. I provided him the framework with the ability to do so.... I wouldn't specify why because I was answering the OP.

same procedure as non rooted devices, Install as normal apk
I can confirm that it works on Moto G5 Plus (Sanders), stock rom, rooted with Magisk. Installed the dialer framework from the post by @atrac17 above, then phone apk (v.11) from here. (Play Market installation was still showing as unavailable for my device.) Then all I needed to do was to change the default phone app to google phone rather than Moto. Thanks for your help, guys. Couldn't figure it out by myself.
So freaking annoying we have to do this!.. Why on earth do we need Moto's dialer?!

Should I stay or should i go ? (not The Clash but android 8 vs 9)

Hello, my Galaxy note 8 N950F with android 8 insistently asks me to install version 9 but I understood that my phone registration application will not work anymore and for my work I really got used to use for years.
Is it better to stay in 8 or is it possible to unlock this function in version 9 ?
If I have to stay in 8 how to prevent the update ? He asks me to install it several times a day and it will end up installing it all alone, and at the same time I have the impression that the battery is emptying much faster since there is this update waiting...
Is it possible to root version 9 knowing that I am in France on the Orange network and that I speak bad English (google translation) and I need clear explanation ! I understood that rooter version 9 would allow me to use the recording ...
Thank you
You don't need root .if you keep delaying the update promt up to 9 times then it will auto install.what I did was buy bk package disabler and disabled all updates that stopped my phone keep on promoting me to update to that ****ty one ui rubbish
exactly so
thanks, i found packagedisabler that looks the same and gives me a big list of application to uninstall. What is the name of the application that wants to force me to update android?

Here is a screen short of what I disabled to stop the b.s. pie update promt
Thank you !
I found the equivalent in French and this damn notification has disappeared ...
Do you know where is the file of the update, because there must be some GB blocked because of it.
I would update to Pie especially if you use any mobile banking apps on your device. As it will have all the latest security patches
if you use sbrowser it lost the on screen brightness and volume controls plus video scrubbing (ff & rew) is gone now it stops and skips

Xposed in 2022

Hi,
back in the time I was using a lot of Custom ROMs and Root features like Xposed. Latter stopped working at some points and I stopped keeping myself informed about it. I mostly stuck to vanilla ROMs with Magisk the last couple of years, also on my current Pixel 6.
Since Xposed seems to work again via Exposed I got interested again and now I am wondering, what I would gain from it. So my questiosn: What are the best features/modules of Xposed in 2022 in your opinion and how much effort is it to use (still taking OTA updates etc)?

-Gravitybox Q (A10): has some visual addon and features for AOSP roms
-CorePatch : to disable signature verification/install old apps over new one ...

I recently started using xposed edge module and have configured gestures and other few thing however i know I am not utilizing its entire capability.
Can you share your module's settings backup so that I can try those on my device?

That app is a fuk*ng maze, and nobody is using it "entirely"
beside gestures i added :
skip songs when screen is on
screen ON/OFF = Sensor ON/OFF
multi action to kill some apps
and to execute some comands to clean the ram (using FlushRam module)
i'm using the pro version
