My tablet crashes a few times a day, I ran mirek7, but now i ran the googlenow debloated rom, and it still happens.
It doesn't matter what I'm doing, it just crashes random after X amount of time. Usually 3-4 times a day, it's extremely frustrating.
the screen looks extremely bizzar : ttp://i.imgur.com/IHbpva4.jpg put a h before the link
I'm preeeeetty sure this is GPU overheating. Try underclocking some more. At least in mirek's ROM there's 03gpu-fix file in /etc/init.d. You can modify it in Root Explorer. My tablet froze just now when I navigated to that location.
E: Underclocked to 550 MHz for testing.
My tablet hasn't crashed after I underclocked the GPU. That was the culprit at least for me.

Is it still going strong without crashes now? I just flashed once more mirek7 and put the gpu at 500mhz, but i'm still scared of the crashes

It has crashed once. But still tablet allows hardware buttons and restart to be pressed so it's not completely stuck.
I have same problem on my Teclast

Hi guys, I have same problem. Somebody can me explain step by step how can i under clock the GPU? What is the right frequency for GPU? I have tablet with original firmware and without root. Please help me because this bug is annoying me.

I have underlocked the GPU to 400, it still happens man .... it sucks,
To underclock, install root browser, go to system/etc/ .... dunno exactly, and somewhere there is a text file named GPU fix. Open it with a tex editor, and change the two numbers to something lower

It is not a good news, how it is possible? So it means, it is a hardware bug. All of the Teclast x98 Air III have this problem or it is just a flaw?
Because, if it is a flaw than I can send back to Gearbest and complaint the tablet

I think it is a flaw I contacted gearbest, they offered me 9 dollar refund or I can resend it to them for a full refund, but that would cost me about 40 euros

Are you tried the minimum frequency of the GPU? Because the interesting thing if you are run the 3dmark benchmark app then the result is much more than average and I somewhere I red the GPU is under-clocked to the minimal (3xx Mhz) in the original firmware. On my tablet have not the original rom an GPU is run on 64x Mhz. So it can be this is the reason why is in under-clocked in original firmware. Please if you still ha this tablet than try to under-clock to the minimal frequency. Anyway can you link the firmware what are you using and when i can under-clock the GPU? And can you give me step by step guide how to flash to the tablet? Thx, I'm totaly new with android staffs.
P.S.: What are you chose from gearbest offer? 9 dollar or full refund?

I haven't decided yet what I should choose. I'm running mireks rom 7.0. You can find his rom and flashing procedure on these forums. I don't know what the minimal mhz is, it is now set from 580 to 400 but it still crashes

It is around 324Mhz. Are you tried the original firmware for the tablet? because n the original firmware the GPU clocked to the minimal frequency. Thx for the info, I will contact with gearbest to and we will see.

Today I have contacted the gearbest, so we will see what will happening. Anyway I have created a video about the crash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XabKwpAZptc
Thanks for you help and i wish a happy end with this problem. If you get any new information or solution to that please contact me at this forum. Thank you
Seems like gpu/screen/other hardware is corrupted and undercloacking gpu won't help at all. Air 3 can be freezed but only when playing 3d games and even then there are no black stripes like you had. Refund.
I would try to monitor the temp of the GPU when you under-clock and see at what temps it freeze and maybe you could improve the cooling by using a better heatsink/heatpad material.
I am having the same problem in my Air II as well. I thought I was alone in this. It happens when I boot to Windows 10 as well. I believe it is some hardware error and not overheating. It happens too randomly and for me, it has happened when the tablet is in standby mode. Hence I guess it is not due to overheating.

same
Got the same problem. Started happening on a stock rom (with Chinese preinstalled apps). Thought that it's because of rom and reflashed to another stock (without Chinese apps). Still crashing.
Noticed that this crashes are happening when launching some apps. For me tablet crashes all the time when launching gmail or viber, but works fine with youtube and chrome. Haven't tried anything else yet.
Any ideas how to fix? Maybe it's something related to the memory?

I've also uploaded the video to show how it looks like IRL, maybe it could help in understanding and solving the problem

My guess is that it somehow has got something to do with the battery. The last time mine crashed, the battery life shown in Android was approximately 83%. When I rebooted the device, it showed about 20%. Any of you have these same symptoms? Mine looks exactly like Censoreddd and rekopel's.
anyone is able to overclock screen to 84 hz like mi9?
even with p experience would be a smoother experience
I don't think you need it. The CPU governor would affect your performance as the CPU is unlikely clocking up during the load you're stressing it under.
For a rough idea, run kernel aduitor in split screen mode and put it under stress. See if it reaches the max CPU frequently.

I think you've misunderstood the OP. This is relating to the recent news that the Mi 9 OLED panel can be overclocked.

I read in a reddit post that it could be done on the K20 pro, too, but I didn't try it yet.
I can't make it a link because I'm new here, but just add reddit first: /r/Xiaomi/comments/c3sask/you_can_overclock_the_mi_9s_screen_to_84hz/
i ve overckock my screen to 75 hz for about 2 week...dat was really smooth,,now i came back to 60 hz .i feel lag even in menu,..its not huge lag,,but its there,.i think i must give time to my eyes to adapt to new refresh rate...do u fell anything like it guys?or my screen is going to distroy

75 and 60hz doesn't make huge different, may be let it settle for a bit more time

Hello, my Note 9 does not go over 1.79Ghz, this happens also with the phone set for maximum performance. Using some cpu stress tools I can clearly see that the big cores set @1,79GHz like the little ones.
Also in 3cToolbox the usage for frequencies above 1.79Ghz is always 0.
Anyone is aware of this?
Thank You Very Much,
Mauro

im sure that this isnt common knowledge, so than k you for posting this, but im sure its the kernel causing the max clock speed. are you running stock firmware?
Yes It's the stock firmware. For example now over a total of 28min @1.79hz i Just have few seconds @2,7GHz and non at the intermediate levels.
Phone is again in Maximum Performance
Can someone explain why are animations on my S23+ looking so bad, feeling the same as on mid range A series?? Or am I just missing something?
I have no problem with the animations, but it is true that I set their speed to 0.5
I can confirm this is an issue with the regultar S23 as well but not the Ultra. Phone is laggier than my Moto Edge 30, specially when changing and closing apps.
Might have to do with some settings to save battery life or reduce heat? Hopefully they'll fix it with a system update.
I also set it to 0.5x speed. Feeling snappier.

How did you get it already?
It's still in the pre-order stage. It only officially launches on the 17th.

People started getting their pre-orders sent to them on day one and started receiving them on at least Feb 3rd.
The pre-order stage doesn't mean much unless you're expecting Samsung to have a firmware update for everyone on Feb 17th to add features.
That's one of the things that makes me doubt if it worth the money. It such a great hardware but somehow One UI has glitches. I notice that when the CPU goes to low freq and then when you touch the screen there is microlag until the CPU is boosted again. At least that's my feeling. But how the others don't have it?

I haven't noticed anything of the sort so I can't comment on it. Everything has felt fine to me so far.
I did experience some sort of stutter, but that was when I was messing around with Galaxy Max Hz, so I'm just going to attribute it to that for now.

I also experienced in the past some stutter and battery drain when using Galaxy Max Hz. It feels like two screen controllers fighting against each other.
