Hey! Tool seems great but when flashing ROMs built via this(.br) , flashing gets stuck midway at "Patching system image unconditionally". Also, build rom zip file doesn't work for me (gets over in 3 seconds with no results), building dat file still builds in .br format and .br roms don't flash like I said earlier. Thanks.
Device is Redmi note 5 pro, android pie ROMs.

Yeah, the most files that we need for the rom are stored in AP (Application Processor).
CSC contains all the software customizations of the mobile operator of the country to which it is destined.
BL (Bootloader)
CP (Modem)

You should add tutorial for Linux Newbie that use other DE (XFCE / Xubuntu) cause different DE means different File Manager.
OR
You can add this line : "Use Nautilus File Manager if you don't have Nautilus, search it in Software Center then install it."
That's all i want to add, cause Linux newbie could confused if they install different DE.

I don't know how to make it on win7 (if it is not impossible) ....
This is a Windows Batch Script/Tool to make any 4.4 based ROM to full F2FS compatibility !! This tool can convert any existing ROM from ext4 to Full F2FS Compatibility in a few clicks !! All tools necessary for conversion included in the batch file itself !!
Basic Info
What is F2FS?
F2FS (Flash-Friendly File System) is a flash file system created by Kim Jaegeuk at Samsung for the Linux operating system kernel. The motive for F2FS was to build a file system that from the start takes into account the characteristics of NAND flash memory-based storage devices (such as solid-state disks, eMMC, and SD cards), which are widely used in computer systems ranging from mobile devices to servers.
What is All-F2FS?
We used F2FS only for /data. It was simply because we have only to flash a compatible Kernel and Format /data partition. With All-F2FS we use F2FS for all partitions and we need a compatible ROM
DISCLAIMER
Code:
*I am Not responsible for any bricked devices,SD cards or thermonuclear attacks.
*Please do some research about what you are doing before you use the tool.
*YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
Current Device Compatibility
Code:
1. Nexus 4 ( Mako )
2. Nexus 7 2012 Edition ( Grouper)
3.Nexus 5 Hammerhead
Prerequisites
Code:
1. A Mako
2. Any 4.4 based ROM with [B][U]busybox [/U][/B]installed
3. Proper F2FS Compatible Recovery and Partition Zip from
[url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/recovery-rom-kernel-f2fs-05-04-14-t2706825[/url]
4. Any Windows version and my batch script
Features
Code:
1. One Click F2FS Conversion Process
2. All tools included in the Zip file itself
3. Changes only the relevant parts of your updater-script keeping the rest unmodified
4. Compatible boot.img included in the ROM itself
5. Now Scripts are Device Specific
6. Error conditions at many places so a noob cant go wrong
***Special note for Stock ROM users***
Code:
The script requires busybox and since stock roms dont have busybox the repacked ROM wont boot up.
In such a case the best option is try out any other AOSP based ROM
Instructions
Code:

[*] Take Care that the path you extract my Zip for eg in my case "C:\Users\Nabendu\Desktop\F2FSROMConvetor"
does not contain any blank spaces in between or else the script will not work as intended.
[*] Run F2FS Convertor.bat
[*] Select your device
[*] Place the Zip in the Extract /Input directory when prompted
[*] The script will Unpack your ROM
[*] Select option 11 for AOSP,12 for CM, 13 for com.android FC 14 for Any Other

***FAQ's***
Q. I get errors compiling the ROM on my XYZ Windows Version?
A. Read through my steps once again especially point 1 & 2. Hopefully u can get it to work.
If you think you are doing everything correctly post it on the thread and Ill try to reply within 24Hrs.
Q. I want to do it on Linux !! Why you no create bash scripts ?
A. Im not good at bash scripting !! Also dont own a Linux Distro so cant help you guys !! But look here @jolinnard has a script for Linux users
https://github.com/figue/f2fs-scripts/blob/master/convert_ROM_to_f2fs.sh and make necessary changes for Hammerhead updater script if any
Q. I can do the same with the Convert to F2FS apk on the Playstore ?
A. Sure you can. Converting on mobile is easier also. But only reservation is that it is paid. Not everyone can afford it.
Also time permitting Ill create a Android Terminal Script based on jolinnards script for Linux.
Q. Do you think I can convert it myself ?
A. Yes its just clicks . Read my steps and do it you wont go wrong.

Thank you for this. I just went to f2fs 2 days ago and was thinking of how to include one of my favorites kalo now and once 4.4.3 comes out. Knowing enough to wait for compatibility once 4.4.3 drops . Really thanks again.

Thx a lot I'm not good at Linux so dint try bash scripting !! Anyways if we can get this it will be smooth to develop a mobile version of the script too !!
Bdw @fishears also wanted to port this to Linux !! Might be you could get in touch with him to know the progress made by him
Can someone point out the differences and advantages of all-f2fs ?
Are we currently using f2fs or ext4?
I know, noob question.
Normally every one is using ext4 for all partitions.
That's why you have to format all partitions before you can start with f2fs.
F2fs is faster than ext4. Apps are opening quocker. Reboot is a bit faster. Everything feels smoother than on ext4.

Ql, but do I need to make a backup of /data partirion before flash? I mean backup of all user data. I assume that format to f2fs will erase all user data.

Take note.
Restoring a ext4 nandroid backup onto a F2FS partition is impossible (except when using something like Titanium Backup to restore apps from from data nandroid).
So I'd suggest you to backup your apps with Titanium Backup or Carbon/Helium. Send all your "SDCard" content to a PC, format and flash ROM send stuff back and restore using the backup app.

What's in:FeraDroid Engine (simply FDE) - an All-in-One ultimate optimizer for all devices on Android OS. No settings/customization and rest 'headache' - all parameters are individual for EVERY device depending on it's hardware/software characteristics. All parameters are very balanced - you may gain performance without increase of power consumption AND reduce power consumption without losing performance. FDE is totally compatible with very wide range of devices and Android versions.
Installation requirements:Supported CPU arch's:
ARMv7 (armeabi-v7a) (32bit)
ARMv8 (arm64-v8a) (64bit)
x64bit (x86_64)
Supported Android OS versions:
4.1 and higher
Detailed tech description:FDE - very universal Android OS optimizer. Very wide-range settings of OS and Linux kernel are configured, still being cross-platform utility, maximally compatible with all devices. This means that it doesn't have any dirty hacks/hardcore and 3rd part binaries (except busybox) & config files. FDE applies configurations depending on It's hardware and software, so that in the end every device is configured individually.
New unique method of execution - all required FDE components are loaded directly to RAM and executed from there. System partitions are remounted RW only once while installation. This means high speed (the worst RAM will have at least ~500MB/s of I/O speed), no power consumption (no NAND memory I/O occurs) and security (system partitions are in read-only state). Also new-gen FDE is synced with OS boot process - so tweaks will be applied in correct time. All system partitions are trimmed and checked for errors after every OS boot with FDE onboard. Universal installer automatically detects what ROOT-method you use and how to auto-start. Finally, FDE is not only about optimization. It's also about security and feature-enabler.
See compacted list of most included features HERE.
Artificial Intelligence:
As you may notice from the name "FDE.AI" - can tell us that it has real AI inside. AI will learn how do you use your device, check out current usage scenario and adapt some system parameters real time to give you best usage experience. Details HERE.
Why to optimize?First of all to make you happy with your device, to make it live longer & be snappy. Another reason is garbage. WTF? Yes. There is a world problem of e-garbage utilization, especially electronic devices & their toxic stuff like batteries..etc.. I'm not against progress - I'm against the selling politics of corporations, which add features slowly, to make people buy them. I'd say OKAY if it wasn't harmful, but in fact Africa became a toxic garbage continent - they need somewhere to put retarded e-devices & that's sad. It costs them cheaper to move toxic garbage to another country, rather then properly utilize it. You may say, how FDE can help with that, are you mad bro? Well, I hope that if you install FDE on your device, you'd use it for longer time, because of all optimizations. So that it will make you happy & you won't change it too frequent, in fact possibly reducing the amount of e-garbage. Thanks.
Installation:
WARNING! Don't use any other All-in-One tweakers or things may get much worse! I warned you!
Make a backup just in case something goes wrong.
Download latest version of FDE and install it via custom recovery OR add zip in modules list if you are using Magisk systemless root.
After OS boot, you will get vibration and a log file /sdcard/Android/fde.txt will be created if FDE worked OK.
If you want to uninstall FDE simply remove module from Magisk Manager if you are on Magisk OR flash this zip in custom recovery.

FDE.AI FAQ
Will it work on this or that device?
It will work on any device which runs Android OS.
Will it work along with this or that tweak/optimizer?
NO. Don't use any other All-in-One tweakers or things may get much worse!
Can I use this on custom kernel?
Yes, why not? It will work even better on custom kernel.
Does FDE has any configuration/logs?
No configurations. This is "flash & forget" optimizer. It will configure your system depending on you hardware/software automatically & individually. Log is available in /sdcard/Android/fde.txt
Is it worth to try FDE if I have a powerful flagship?
Yes, sure. FDE not only gives performance, but also increases power-saving.
Is there any difference between zip from Magisk module repo and zip provided here?
The difference is only in installer - zip provided here is universal, while one in Magisk repo is for Magisk root only.
I have ROOT, but don't have recovery. Can I do something?
You may try to install FDE via Flashfire app.
I have ROOT - not Magisk, and not SuperSU, and I don't have init.d support. What to do?
Try to emulate init.d support with app like Universal_Init.d_Support or similar.
Installation was successful, but no vibration. What does this mean?
Try to reboot device. Wait for a minute or two more. Maybe it will work, but a little later than expected. Also check for /sdcard/Android/fde.txt file. If still no luck, try to update your ROOT method (Magisk preferred). If you do have log and it says "all good" - then don't worry at all. Some rare devices doesn't support vibrations triggered by script. If still not working, read THIS post.
Do I need busybox?
No, FDE has a built-in one already. But if you already have one - they will not conflict.
Are project treble ROMs supported?
YES.
Flashed fine, but can't find icon for FDE. Huh?
This is not an Android apk and it has no interface yet.
Can I flash FDE right after ROM installation?
NO. Boot ROM first, then install FDE.
AI says '...turbo' is not supported. What can i do to make it work?
You may try to install another custom kernel. Those features are kernel dependent.
It's running fine, but i got a problem...
FDE.AI is under active development. Please attach any useful information such as log/screenshot, name of your device, ROM/recovery version. I am developer of FDE and I will help you to figure out the problem.

Yes..it's working on your device fine. Do you notice any improvement? In case of high-end devices, most noticable should be a battery consumption decrease.
Will provide uninstaller asap.

Manuall FDE run
Here is a little instruction in case you couldn't install FDE on your device. Recovery doesn't install it well..or..FDE doen't autostart or you just don't have a recovery for your device (as in my case with china noname phone).
So:
-> Download latest FDE zip and extract it.
-> With any root explorer copy engine folder to /system/
-> Set 777 (check all tabs) permissions to whole engine folder and what is in there and in every folder content
-> Then get 'Terminal Emulator' app from Google Play store, run it and type:
Code:
su
-> Grant root permission then type:
Code:
sh /engine/as.sh
-> After that reboot your device and in 2 minutes, check log file on path: /sdcard/Android/FDE.txt
-> If there is no FDE.txt log then open Terminal Emulator again and type:
Code:
su
sh /system/engine/feradroid.sh
-> Wait it's completion, then check log file again. If it exists, please send it to me to deal with autostart issue for your device. You should run theese two commands every time you reboot your device..
Hope this will help you and you will be happy to see your device runnign fast. :fingers-crossed:

SVN Guide
Step 1-3 is only for people who haven't set up the SVN yet, if you have already set up and just want to update to the newest revision, go to step 4
You will need:
A PC running a newish version of Windows
Tortoisesvn, choose 32 or 64 bit depending on your OS
An archive program, i recommend winrar
1. Setting up folder structure.
Once you have TortoiseSVN set up and installed, browse to a directory where you would like your ROM to be stored
Once your in that directory create a new folder and name it "RENOVATE"
Go inside that folder and create two more folders, name one "renovate-s7" and the other "renovate-flashable"
You don't have to use these names, it just makes things less confusing if you do.
To give you an idea on what these folders will do, "renovate-s7" is where you will download/update the rom/files to each time we make an update. Once you are up to date or at a revision you want to flash you then export the rom to "renovate-flashable" ready to flash on your device.
2. Downloading the ROM
Once you have completed step one, it is time to download the ROM.
Right click on the "renovate-s7" folder and click "SVN Checkout".
From here you will need to enter the url of the renovate rom project.
The link is http://www.soldier9312-xda.de/svn/renovate-note/trunk/ which can also be found in the first post
Go ahead an enter the URL and press go
If all done correctly the ROM should start downloading, this could take a while depending on your internet speed. This is the one and only time you will have to download the full rom.
Once it has finished you will be left with the rom structure inside the "renovate-s7" folder. You can tell if everything has synced correctly as there will be a green tick on the folder icon.
3. Exporting and zipping
Open "renovate-s7" and you will see the rom structure. Your instincts will probably tell you to add this to a zip and then just flash on your phone, but as this is the folder linked with the SVN, there are hidden files which we don't want to include when we put it in our rom.zip ready to flash.
To get rid of these hidden files, all you need to do is right click "renovate-s7" folder, go to "tortoiseSVN" then click "export".
*If you have hidden files visible in windows you can skip the below steps and simply select all the folders apart from the .svn folder and zip them up and flash.
This will open a new window asking you to choose where to extract to, simply locate your "renovate-flashable" folder, click it, and click "select folder" to begin exporting
Once the export has finished, your going to want to zip up the rom so you can flash it.
Open "renovate-flashable" and select all the folders and contents
If you have winrar installed click "add to archive"
This will open a dialogue, all you need to do is set the the format to ".zip" not ".rar", choose a name for the zip and choose where to save it
Once you have done this click ok to start the zipping
Once finished this is your completed rom.zip, simply transfer this to your phones memory and flash in recovery
4. Updating
If we make an update to our rom, svn users can stay up to date change by change, and only by downloading the modified files, not the entire rom everytime.
To update to the latest revision all you need to do is right click on "renovate-s7" and select "SVN Update"
This will update all the changed files to the latest version, keeping you up to date.
Once the update is complete, you'll have to export the rom again (step 3) before zipping it up and flashing.
Before you export though, make sure you delete the previous revision from "renovate-flashable"
Once the old build is deleted, simply follow the "exporting" step again and you will be up to date with all the latest changes.

This is an alpha build, a lot of things don't work and cant be used as a primary device..also i am not responsible if your device blows up...

Android Apps
anbox is now added to the flashable zip. but it is not perfect and a lot of apps i tested had compatibility issues . it should only be used if you really need to run android apps. it is disabled by default

sudo anbox-tool enable
installing apps in terminal
check if anbox is online adb devices
go to Downloads cd Downloads

What are Ubuntu installations? Do you need to install LOS first, and then the Ubuntu build itself or direct build installation?
