Mi Wireless Pad + 27w Charger - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Friends...
This is first time i am using a Wireless charger. For me its not charging fast. I am getting only 1% per minute. So 50% in 50 minutes. Using eu rom weekly. Not rooted. Its showing Charging Turbo and Charging Fast in Lock screen but not getting fast charging as i expected. And its original from Official China Mi Store. Can anyone help or confirm the same?
Also another doubt is using Wireless charger daily will cause any damages in mobile ? In future or something...
I never used Wireless charger before thats why asking...

Charging time?

Is it just my device or does this thing charge super slow? I can't even get a full charge in a hour and a half and the battery is only 410mah.
Do you use original AC Adapter? I use another one now and I can get it charged in 45 minutes, which is ok to me.

I'm using the turbo charger from Motorola. I guess I can try another brick.

I use my Samsung charger with 2.0A and from 5% to 100 in an hour.. My orginal LG charger was only 0.7A!

I would advise against doing this. You will shorten the battery life due to the extra heat produced. Always use a lower amp charger unless you are in a rush!

Can someone tell me how long the actual charging time exactly takes ?
I use the original charger that comes with the device and it takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge the watch.
I find that quite long as I read the comments here.
The first tames it takes only 1,5 hours to charge it but all the other times it goes real slow.
A factory reset didn't help to resolve this issue.
Thanks.
As far as i remember battery have a capacity 410mAh, original charger have power output 700mAh, so charging time should be about 40-45 minutes max.
Change usb cable, if it doesn't help change charger (but it should have power output >700mAh)
PS. AFAIK using charger with power output >700mAh is harmless because watch limits charging current by itself.
Measuring charging time is best indicator.
Charging with 2.0A adapter will not increase the charging speed - the watchregulates the charging current, it will not just blindy "connect" the charger to the battery (in fact, I can't think of any piece of electronics that would have the charging logic in the adapter nowadays).
I had no problems with any chargers, not even with USB charging - the battery is very small, so unless you have a charger that can't put even 500mA you should have no problem.
I've seen an issue where the watch was "charging" constantly and ended with 85% and wouldn't charge anymore - reboot fixed that and it showed 100%.
I was thinking that your charge takes so long because you could have some process draining your battery in the meanwhile (that starts when you connect your phone, like a tasker thing or smt). Newbie thoughts so correct me if this is impossible
I could try to do a factory reset and see after that if it charges much faster then now.
For the moment i have a few apps on the watch, i do not know if it matters or not for to influence the charging time.
It's weird that we do not have the ability to load the watch while it is off.
From the moment that i put it on the charger it turns on automatically !
hello my friends.
the charging dock is limited to 0.85 A (850mA)
It makes not more sense to use a Adapter with 2.0 A Output. It won't charge faster.
Look if every pin on your dock is ok.
also the connection pin on your watch.
Try to clean a little bit with high percentage alcohol.
best regards
Problem solved by using another USB cable.
Now fully charged in 1,5 till 2 hours.
I haven't measured the charging time of my watch but it looks to me pretty fast. I guess with original charger 30 mins - 45 max, not a min more.
Don't sweat the amps

Hi,
that statement isn't particularly correct. The charging system in the watch (as with any LiIon battery) will draw as much current as is "good for it" and no more.
Just because a charger offers 2A doesn't mean that this is the amount of current flowing through the charger / battery!

Does quick charger work for slow charging?

Just got one used nexus 6 from ebay, but I found it charges very slow and the ampere shows the charging current is only about 200 ma. I think there must be some problems with the hardware, but I do not have a quick charger and was charging with my normal charger. Can anyone tell me will it help if I buy a quick charger now?

The Google quick charger (2500mA) can boost/quick charge by raising the voltage to 9 or 12 volt.
That boost works only with compatible chargers and when the battery is charged below 70%.
A good way of charging is wireless. Every usb charger and a cheap QIpad will work.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Quick charge 3.0 question. Please help

I have recently purchased the Mi Mix with the Chinese ROM, I have now unlocked the bootloader and flashed the most current global ROM, I believe the Mi MIx is quick charge 3.0 according to specs on Qualcomm and Xiaomi website. I have tried the LG g5 quick charge plug and the Anker quick charge 3.0 powerport +1 and neither of them display fast or quick charging, it definitely isn't quick charging as it takes nearly 5 hours to charge. Any help or info would be appreciated as it's driving me crazy, I understand it's a much bigger battery but surely 5 hours for a brand new phone isn't fast charging, could this be the kernel or global ROM isn't supported. Thank you to anyone that me be able to help in any way.
Ok?

I don't understand why it would take that long, the question would be from what % are you changing, my mix takes a little more than an hour to go from 45% to 100, and a little bit more than two hours from 5% with the changer that it came with, remember not all phones are created equal also I'm on epic rom 7.3.30
Battery is 4000 mAh then to charge you have to wait a bit... with a quick charge 3, i have 1h45 to fully charge my device...
Try another usb cable
Ok, I changed the cable and plug, charging from 0-100% in just under 2 hours, fairly quick but should it show on the lock screen as fast charging as mine shows just charging.
I'm using Ampere app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.ampere). On original charger it shows max possible current 1800 mA, and after some crazy readings it stabilizes indeed around of that value. Other my chargers are not so good. You have to wait a bit (minute?) until the reading will be accurate. First readings are crazy high.
Other such apps probably work as well.
ampere give u right speed amperage value.... value decrease with higher battery level, you are not full mA all the time.... if somedody use a custom kernel like papashclumpf... try to ask a way to fully charge all the ime... i suppose kernel can manage this !

Under 2 hours should be quick charging.
i agree

Does the note 8 charge real slow when using ??

I know it's supposed to but damn **** is slow!! When using phone I'll sit all day charging the damn thing . It takes a good 2 to 3 hours charging when screen is on. Plane ridiculous! Anyone know of anything to make this better? Will a high amp charger charge it faster? Sick of this I can't charge it for 30 minute while using it before I have to leave , only it being charged 10% in the time being

"When using ??"
What do you mean by ??
Ideally to charge the note 8 fastest you'd either want to use a qualcomm quickcharge 3.0 compatible charger or a USB type C charger with Power delivery (USB-PD), along with a decent cable such as the one included. The Note 8 will say Fast Charging on the lock screen if it's being used with an optimal or near optimal charger/cable combination.
It doesn't fast charge while the screen is on, it barely charges at all.
The output is not far off what the input is when you are using the phone and fast charging.
(Price you pay for a big screen)
If you were using a regular charger and using the phone your phone wouldn't be charging at all it would still discharge.
Simple solution just don't use your phone for half hour !
Charges to full in 1 hour and a half without the screen on
Or charge it overnight? That's what I do and it easily lasts until the next night
I have several samsung fast chargers, but only some of them would work on fast charge.
I realised it was a problem with the cable, so I swapped them to the original Samsung cable and all the fast chargers work on fast charge now.
So check the cables ....

Accessories Xiaomi EU 65W Charger with Mi 11 ultra?

Hey guys has anybody tried other xiaomi chargers with their mi 11 ultra?
Chargers like:
Xiaomi 65w Gan charger (USB c Port)
Xiaomi 65 w charger (USB a port)
Xiaomi 55w Charger
How well did these fare compared to the normal one(possibly with a adapter to actually use it)?
I use 65W Gan because i don't have one in the box.
Available in EU version, so it's perfect for me, and it's a small charger.

Did you check if it actually gives you about 65w?
I use the 65 W Gan charger with USB C port from Xiaomi with my Mi 11Ultra. It supports turbo charging. It takes aprox 45 minutes from 10 - 100 %. I can highly recommend it because it is half of the size of the 67 W charger and almost the same charging speed.

I'm sorry if it sounds silly but did you check with apps like Accubattery how much voltage etc it gives? It should be possible to calculate the watts like that
Hello, i'm using the original 65W xiaomi gan charger Eu version. Model BHR4499GL
I'm very happy with it and accubattery indicates even 10mA charging current, depending on the battery temperature, system load and the charge level of the battery itself.
When the battery is empty ( or bellow 20% or so) it will go to max 10mA from what i've seen and of course drop to around 3-5 mA when it's nearing full capacity.
I never let the battery drop bellow 20% and usually try to unplug the charger until it reaches ~90% but rarely manage to do so because is damn fast .
If i wake up in the morning with around 30-40% charge i plug it in for around 10-15 minutes and it almost reaches 90% maybe even more
I also use a special PD 2.0 usb type C to type C cable from Baesus, model CATKLF-ALG1
"Baseus Type-C Cafule PD2.0 100W flash charging cable (20V 5A) 2m Black (CATKLF-ALG1)"
So it's not only the charger but also the cable that it's important
Take care !
Moreover, the Model BHR4499GL actually supports multiple charging standards than the 67W one that comes in the global unit's box . Plus it's type c so it's easier to find pd charging cables that will work with it
@achimmexico @Jhonxs @sabrewulf I calculated it. The 65w GaN Charger does about 38-39 Watt (i charged from about 10%)
Calculate it yourself if you like.
9810 mA
3.96 volt.
My 11 ultra charges fine with every generic quick charge 3 charger i have but of course better with the 67watt charger that came with it.
Didn't know it got sold without a charger?
I have 65W and 67W charger and there is a difference about 2-3min when charging from 3% until 100%.

This is very strange to hear (read) , as I have a Mi11 Pro and of course use it with the 65W charger, but it takes 55 minutes to go to full. This is extremely frustrating, as 11 Pro should charge in about 36 minutes.

Honestly it always depends on the battery temperatures and all that. Also keep in mind that chargers always have inefficiencies as well. Sometimes the slow charging seems very random. I am using the 67W Charger for instance. Xiaomi's Charging Tech feels either inconsistent or it's just that the battery or charging brick may just are weird with charging them sometimes.

In China they sold it without the charger, but they did give you the option to buy it when you bought your phone and many places now give it as a gift when you buy a new MI 11 Ultra.

Yes you are mostly correct, as I was on a trip for 2 days , charged it there with the SAME charger and it took 34 minutes on the watch to get full. Came back home, 45 minutes.... Very very inconsistent.

Speed differences at two different locations can also point wiring inefficiencies/socket connections in the home. If the charger produced different speeds using same sockets, etc... Then I'm more to say apt to say it's the charger, but with multiple variables...
Helo people can somebody tell me about this problem im facing, i bought 65w mi gan charger for my mi 11 ultra when i put on charging it displays 55w max, why its not showing 65w if anyone knows about it

You need original xiaomi 67w charger and cable to get the Max 67W charging. At first I was getting only Mi Turbo Charge (i bought my Mi 11 ultra used) and after some testing with different cables and chargers I realized that my cable is not original xiaomi cable (maybe it was huawei/honor cable cuz they look almost the same) and I had to buy a new original one. Now I charge at Max 67W speed.
Alright, so 65 one from Xiaomi will not work ?

I don't think you will be able to get 67w charging with a 65w charger. Buy a 67w charger or just use the 65w you have (if the charging speed is OK for you). I decided to buy 67w because it is 3 times faster than Turbo Charge (the difference is huge).
