We’re really excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Pie betas.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those who are unfamiliar, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhances the overall user experience.
The beta builds include adjustments and improvements on top of the stock Android CAF base. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features.

How about making One stable aosp Rom before publishing different roms with All the same Bugs? I dont think that dt2w is the only Bug in here. Its nice to have a choice but One really stable base would be much better.

How about just appreciating the work and having another option than ranting because none of them are "stable" for you? It would be much better if you collect logs and actually contribute to the development. He's refining the device tree and that takes time. If you would, please, with all due respect, fix all the bugs that are currently present in the ROMs.
The dev will do whatever he wants to, and in no way will releasing more ROMs be harmful to this community.
Don't act so entitled.

Still in beta which means they are still ironing the bugs, if you want a stable ROM stick with the stock. Moreorless all AOSP ROMs atm are in beta/testing stage.
Thanks! Always good to see new ROMs and support for our phone!

Well, we do have d2tw working, will be in the next build, so I would say 0 bugs. We ain´t fast bring-up ROM and I can assure we don´t usually have the issues some of the other ROMs do, first because of our CAF base, vs AOSP used on others, and second because we really take care of almost everything seriously before doing anything.
I can tell this build is stable, we labelled it beta since we didn´t add the framework goodies, and there could be some minor bug/issue our maintainer might have not noticed based on his daily usage.
I do invite you to give it a test and report it back, I think you will find it more stable than you believe, as well as smoother than you think.

Actually this build would be more of an stable build than a beta/testing actually, always the maintainer has followed my changes at OnePlus 7 Pro source code this build should be really stable. The thing about beta is more framework related, there is some stuff we haven´t included on it, and we will release in a non-beta release if we ever get to finish them before we start working on Q.
Hey guys, nice works! It is always good to hear and see various developments are on going, meaning more usefulness. Appreciate for ur works.
I have some question!
I'm on BeastROM which seems very stable now, except for battery consumption.
I guess it is caused by kernel wakelocks.
- smp2p-sleepstate (it holds moderate time)
- NETLINK (too many counts)
I believe those are from cellular, wifi, bluetooth...
Does PA have Boeffla wakelock blocker implemented, or those wakelocks not a kinda issue on PA?

Hbt you reporting the bugs you faced instead of just saying me to make it stable. My usage is different than yours. For me its stable. Tell me which issues did u faced besides these two?:
- NFC (Removed cause of known reasons will add in next build)
- Kernel Permissive == No GPay
- DT2W (Will be fixed in next update)
If you face any other issue besides the ones mentioned above report with logs otherwise stop complaining. I can't smell your issue and simply fix them.
Regards,
Akash
Heeeyaaaaa. Finally wait is over. :victory:

What is Omni?
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there. Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

Go to Settings -> Buttons and enable Custom Actions.
Also my Omni ROM has few problems with APN.
To fix it you can use fix for AICP:

About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!
Features: (I will mention only that which does not take into CyanogenMod)
Listview animation
Interpolation anmação listview
Update over the air can download the download website only incremental, it helps lower faster update and upgrade more easily:
Some icons and own layouts
Manager for Google services, so no need to use a large gapps, you can only download necessary at MokeeCenter
Ringtones, Alarms, Notification, UI sounds are all different CyanogenMod, thus bringing a beautiful charm to rom
bootianimation own
information integrated into MokeeCenter
Settings to add speed data network
Settings for navigation bar
Settings for Statusbar
Intelligent control settings to configure the newer apps and others.
Downloads official:
Kenzo
What is the difference?
RELEASE: Tested after integrating new features, more stable than NIGHTLY. (Odexed builds)
NIGHTLY: Built daily with newest code and experimental features, might contain undiscovered bugs. (Deodexded builds)
HISTORY: Final odexded builds once a newer Android version is out and being built.
EXPERIMENTAL: Released when a new device is added or when a new feature is added for public beta testing and feedback. (Deodexded builds)
UNOFFICIAL: Maintained separately by individual developers, usually involves modification of shared code which cannot be merged (affects other devices), therefore maintained by the developer himself.
Note: We always test the shared code for bugs, however sometimes we may not be able to detect device specific bugs. If you have such issues, it will be better to report to the device maintainer.
Changelog:
Here
Gapps recommended
http://opengapps.org/
Installation mode :
To install the clean rom:
Download the rom
enters recovery
make all wipes (all)
choose zip from rom and install
you can use a gapps any of its taste since it is for android 6.0
or you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom.
To install upgrade:
Method 1:
just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)
install the complete package downloaded via OTA
Method 2:
Download the complete package over the air and go on to install update
let install automatically for you
Method 3:
Download only incremental updates
for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation
just go on the site and click below build itself where it is written (upgrade: OTA to MK ...)
there will be the incremental free for you, this will save on your data package or in your spare time.
Big Thanks @martincz for development

Just with you it happens, no one else has reported the same, maybe it is some specific error of the build release you are using, try a previous nightly version and tell me, these builds are based on the official cyanogenmod, if it does not work here it's because it does not work There too, so I say it's working.

Yess! Finally you are here! Tnx a lot buddy!
Sweet! Thanks man, going to flash it now!
Nice to see you here ...
This is the one I've been waiting for ???
Flashed and ROM is superfast and fluid.
Feb security patch if need to know
Man, the last time I ran Carbon was in the LG G3 days, and it rocked back then.
Installed and setup without a hitch. The ROM is super snappy. It's impressively fluid and responsive. Too early to tell much else. I'm going to take this for a spin in the coming days. Great job, brother!
As noted, it is an early release. Please be patient and give it time to mature. While not bare bones, it is lacking some popular features. Inb4 the can I has storm.
Edit: The ROM is performing great. No crazy idle drain and deep sleeps as it should. The stock kernel is very efficient.
Wow.. Its soo Aww to see this rom for op6..
Can't believe how good this rom is on an initial release. This is why carbon is top notch?

Thanks for your feedback. I don't mean to start a war but what's your background on this device? Like did you try a lot of other custom ROMs and you can tell this one is faster?

Had the device since launch, been rooted forever and have tried almost all roms on xda, stock and aosp. All roms are good for what they are, but some miss features while others have a plethora of features. I've used Carbon on many previous devices and always found myself going back to Carbon. Yes, I'm a flashaholic of many years, but to me, Carbon has always been a gold-standard thru all my flashing of various devices... I stray, but always come back
This is my opinion only of course, but past experiences with Carbon have been nothing but buttery goodness. This initial release is an excellent beginning of what I hope will be a long line of releases for this device. Some of my fave roms on here are Omni, AOSIP, Tresk, and Syberia. One of the reasons I bough the Oneplus 6 was the ability to flash roms and the excellent community of sites like XDA. Love this site

Thanks for your detailed feedback! I might give it a try in a few builds once it gets more mature.
If you feel like it and have time for it, could you fill this sheet to give users an idea about features available? Thanks.

New build
Just finished uploading a new build.

March ASB
As always let us know if you encounter any bugs. We're currently all rounding up on some remaining bugs/quirks and hope to present you an official build soon
I guess @Myself5 forgot to post it here

This is a good sign. This is a popular ROM but the thread is completely dead. This usually means nobody is having any problems worth noting.
I'll have to give this a shot

When you try it, please give us some feedback, I'm really interested in this rom. Thanks.
Hey guys,
nice to See carbon here, i used it some years ago on my S4,S3,S2 (and maybe Note 2 LTE,but im not sure )
i was on 9.0.4 and installed it some minutes ago. After first Boot there was a message i should update my Vendor or something like that.
I dont know if its important i got my OP6 4 days ago and i didnt mod my last phone so much (Huawei Mate 10 Pro btw) so i dont have big knowledge at the moment, sorry
Everything else works for now (at least what i have Seen/tried ) and it runs very smooth!
Here is what ive done, maybe i made a mistake here,it was the first Rom i flashed in this phone:
- of course a Backup (Titanium Backup and Nandroid)
- wipe Dalvik,System and Data
- flashed Rom and twrp
- reboot
- flash pico gapps and Magisk
i Miss the gestures so i think i will go back to stock for a while (until i found something similar, i know there are some apps but i didnt try Them now)
Edit: had to decrypt my device to be able to boot stock afterwards, simply did a factoy reset and restored my Data partition.

Official builds are here
The time has finally come, we're going official.
After Server issues, and several rebases due to Google's Upstream doing the same, we're finally satisfied with the ROM to make it officially available to the public.
The new CarbonROM revision 7.0 is codenamed Opal, and is currently based on android-9.0.0_r35 (thats the April security bulletin).
The OP has been updated to include the official download.
PLEASE NOTE: You WILL need to perform a clean install. The official builds are signed with custom keys for your security and are therefore not compatible with the unofficial builds that were signed with the default Google keys.
We feel like this might be one of our best releases yet, with new features like Aggressive Battery, a newly designed performance vendor and many more coming. Let us know what you think.
Also, this is the first time ever we will keep on maintaining the older branch. That means you will still get monthly security updates of Noct on the devices that do not support Pie yet.
A new blog is due to get up soon, an in depth release post will follow there.
For now, Happy flashing and we hope you'll enjoy the ROM as much as we did creating it
Best news this week so far...?

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

The base is 10.3. It was confirmed by the OP6 Maintainer. Anyone flash this yet?
I've been waiting for a good custom ROM to finally get me off of OOS. So, how would I go about flashing this? I'm on the latest open beta, OB4 I believe

If you could've just read a few messages back you'll know that base is 10.3. oh and, if you don't know how to flash, i suggest research and help yourself.

I know the base is 10.3, but does 10.3 =/= OB4? I know there's some weird stuff going on between the two

There is no OB4 yet.....
I suggest you don't take changes and flash 10.3 first since you already will lose data.

10.3 isn't OB ... OB has a different approach, therefore flash 10.3. before try this one
Thanks for the contribution. What are this ROM features?
Clean install?
Exicted.
Any screenshots or a video review? I rooted OP6T long ago but never flashed any custom ROM yet, or I'd say never needed another ROM given the performance and features of OOS... And one year using the device with same OS is too much
Would love to flash it once it is stable
I know this does not go here but it is the first Android 10 rom that I try.
I have a rather annoying bug that prevents me from connecting the phone via USB to the PC and does not let me transfer data, just load it.
I have the latest version in both slots.

Device-specific issues
[*] Ultrawide Camera (OP8T)
There are likely many other issues, these are just the most prominent to me. Don't come into this with the expectation any issue you come across will be fixed in a timely manner.
Requirements
Make sure you are coming from any Android 11 based OxygenOS build, stable is recommended.

Note: Custom kernels are not supported unless the kernel says it supports PA and GMS is included!
Instructions
[1] Download the latest fastboot zip we released (hint: it has an -image appended to zip name)
[2] Reboot to bootloader.
[3] Flash the fastboot zip with "fastboot update aospa-*-image.zip"
[4] Reboot into recovery after it is done flashing & wipe userdata.
If you are coming from Alpha 1, you must clean flash due to recent commits related to userdata. If you are coming from Alpha 2 you can dirtyflash it.
If you already flashed Alpha 1 and want to update, then you can just sideload the OTA in recovery if it is avaliable, although there might be only fastboot images up for the latest version so keep that in mind.

FAQ
Is feature X working in this rom?
- If its not mentioned under issues its most likely working.
Does safetynet work on this rom?
- Yes, safetynet works out of the box and doesnt require any additional modules or hacks.
My wireless display doest work.
- WFD is currently completly removed in my builds because it crashes anyway with the old blobs.
I notice some screen flicker on dark backgrounds.
- That's normal, for some reason 60 and 90/120Hz dont have the same colors and you can see it change when smooth display is enabled and it switches between normal and high refresh rate.
My phone goes randomly into crashdump mode.
- Simply disable 5G in settings, for some reason there are carriers that dont properly work right now.
Bin testing this rom for som time runs great on the pro
No major bugs only the 5g but the devs knows it
