Hi,
i am new in android,
i bought my first android phone (xiaomi mi9) a month ago, using it about 3 weeks,
in this 3 weeks it not ringing/wake up me 5 times.
I have setup clock (using google clock), but it not sometimes ringing, if i searching about, somebody says me, it can be caused by miui battery saver setting, there is miui optimalization before,
i switched it to no restriction mode and it look like it helps, but not.
Today I have setup clock to 6:00 and 7:00:
- at 6:00 it not ring, nothing happend
- i wake up by myself at 6:06
- move same clock to 6:15, it ring, snooze it 10 minuts, it rings
- at 7:00 it rings
what can be the reason for clock not ringing sometimes? thank so much for any ideas.

Hi!
Maybe you have battery saver on until 6 am?
I had similar issue and solved it by changing the times of battery saver.

My Tilt is waking up every night around 12:25 am. Since I also use it as my pager, I have to leave it accessible. It sits in a desktop charger. Hence, the light shines in my face and wakes me up (the backlight is turned down at night, but it's still enough).
So, why is it waking (me) up? Is it time for me to pee? Is it thirsty?
I don't see any running appts or anything that would cause this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Turn it over!!
Soz....
while charging if you press the power button ( for standby) the light will be off but it will still be in use. It wil come out of the standby as soon as there is some message or call

Ehm... so what you are saying that he is getting called or gets a text EVERY night at 12:35 am? thats a bit obvious isnt it?
My tilt wakes me up every night but the reason is cause I'm addicted to flashing the phone lol

Nothing nefarious here...
I am not receiving any texts or calls at that hour. Emails do not wake the device day or night. There are no "notifications" that need to be cleared. I had spb Time running, but deleted it (I think it was slowing things down). Sprite runs nightly at 10pm.
Is there any other place where something may be scheduled?
By the way, not that it's related, but my old Treo (years ago, 600 or 650, can't remember) had a flaw where it would wake up every night at exactly 1:30 a.m. or something. This turned out to be a system flaw that was present on everyone's device.
I had a similar problem a year ago or more.
It woke me up very early a couple of times and I was to tired to check out why.
It turned out that If I created full day events, the default reminder time was 18 hours before as default, so it woke me up at 06.00.
So now when I create full day events with reminder, I have to set it to f.ex. 10 hours before.
And I still haven't figured out where to change the default value from 18 to 10 in outlook.. Pretty annoying.
P.S. If you are using push mail and you don't want to get mail during a period. Go into Active Sync -> Menu -> Scheduling. And define a day and nigh sync. So it doesn't check mail during nighttime.
Still happening nightly. I'm half delirious whenever it happens, but I think the actual time is 01:45 or so.
I do not have any events like you described in my calendar. I am not using push email.
Any other suggestions?

Check with your power company. Maybe they are switching power grids about that time and it causes a 'brown-out'? The phone will always spring to life from sleep if the charge is removed then replaced.
In my area, this happens at around 00:30, somtimes OK, sometimes all the power drops for a split second.
I assume you mean the alarm goes off by itself? (It is possible to set alarms that only use the light, no sound.) I had this problem; the first day I got my Kaiser I stayed up late playing around with it and tested the alarm at around 2:45 am before going to sleep. The following two nights, even though I no longer had this 2:45 alarm in the clock settings, the Kaiser woke me up during the night, but I was too tired to check what was going on.
I remembered it was probably 2:45 am when the night alarms went off, so I figured my earlier alarm was somehow running in the background. What I did was, set a new alarm at 2:45 am, on the same slot that the old 2:45 was on (the first slot), set it on all weekdays, then toggle it on and off. I was hoping this would somehow ovrewrite/reset the information about the "ghost alarm", and I guess it did, since the Kaiser no longer goes berserk during the night.
Maybe there is some sort of bug or illogical functionality with the dismiss/snooze system in the alarms? Since the Kaiser has been around for a while I thought someone else would have run into it & figured it out.
my kaiser sometiems wakes up by itself too - i reckon theres some ackground task or process running that touches something inside and that wakes the device up - i dont know what causes it or why - simplest thing ive found is to literally just cover it up - bit 'hacky' but it does me fine - im not bothered if it does wake up just so long as it doesnt wake me up!
cant beleive you guys get nightly brown-outs - thats just crap - doesnt happen in this country
Guys got a strange problem, wonder if anyone could help. Every morning at exactly 5.00 am for the last week my xperia sounds a bleep for 30 second. I have no alarms set and the beep sound it not and of my default sounds. There is no notification or anything on the screen to accompany the alarm. I am running Clock plus in Daydream at night with the phone in a charging dock, stock ROM.
Did a factory reset and restore yesterday - and at 5.00 am this morning exactly the same thing happened. Any ideas ? Is there at system log I can check on a non-rooted 10.4.1.B.0.101?
Try uninstalling Clock plus daydream and see if it still happens. That's all I can suggest.

No, no timers running and its nothing to with Clock plus. With try minus Daydream tonight - if I reset the phones clock to force the alarm nothing happens but it still occurs every real 5.00 am.

I have the same problem on my iPhone 5. Every morning the phone alarmed at 8:15 for several seconds. I found the alarm comes from a new app I download. So I deleted it , the problem was solved. You can check the websites or apps you used recently.
This is getting crazy. Factory reset, no non stock apps installed and it still happens every morning. I have also realised the sound - a triple beep stop triple bleep that goes on for 20-30 seconds is not any of the tones/alarms/notifications available on the phone.
This problem sound odd as hell, just as odd as the fact your account is from bloody 2006 and you haven't posted until now, lol. That's 8 years, man :|
Sorry for useless post.

That's because I search before I ask, so far never had any need to ask !
This is a long shot, but are you entirely sure you don't have an alarm clock hidden away somewhere in a bedside drawer or something? That triple beep sounds like it could be a normal alarm clock.
Or one of your friends pulling your leg and hidden an alarm clock under your bed, perhaps?
can you show me the screenshots of the apps currently running.
go to settings->apps->swipe left select cached procsses/and running processes both and post a screenshot here i think that should point us to a particular app..waiting for your reply...
Hi
Mi5 64gb, recently purchased and just upgraded to the miui7 latest update that prevents Android Pay from working ( bah!)5. Everything fine with it apart from the clock alarm in the morning. It wakes me up on time, but does not show the clear/snooze option and I can't turn it off.
My guess is that my "night clock" app is hogging the screen and the alarm snooze screen is indeed "underneath" but not accessible.
Anyone got any tips on how to use a night clock - happy to pay for one - that plays nicely with the system alarms ?
Cheers
I'm having a much worse issue than this my alarm just doesn't go off another forum suggested using the stock charger which worked for one day but not since?
After several days of reading posts that 10.2.27.0 EEA was available, I finally tried to upgrade just now.
Checked on the phone. No update available.
Went to official ROM depository en.miui.com. The latest they have is still 10.2.26 EEA.
Ended up doing the download at miblog.co. But when I installed it failed at validation saying this is beta and I need a beta authorized Xiaomi account to be able to install it.
... So did they rollback the ROM distribution?
My guess is that with the major problems during the latest Mi 9 SE update they stopped all roll outs until they have figured out the problem. Also for other Mi9 devices.
I flashed the update via TWRP and its not so good to use. Have some connection problems with it. Hopefully they fix the issues soon and deliver it new.
I am positively surprised about the .27 update. It fixed all my battery standby drain issues. Got a much better runtime now, 2 days when fully charged
Thank God i didnt install the update. The update appeared like week ago and then suddenly disappeared. I was waiting for some reviews, because my phone is running great on .26 update, although there are still some minor bugs.
I have exactly opposite experience to the Dada124's. 10.2.26.0 was very gentle to the battery, while 10.2.27.0 drains it like crazy. Yesterday it went down from 68 % to 18 % in 3 hours - 1hour watching video, 1hour surfing web and 1hour listening to an audiobook. No wonder they pulled it. Hope they fix it with next update, because this is beyond ridiculous.
I don't have battery issue with .27
Bluetooth volume is now synced with my earbuds, there is direct control.
My alarm still don't show up on the lockscreen in the morning, it's annoying to unlock the phone to deactivate it. Am I the only one with this problem ?!?

I have only good things to say about the .27 update. Slightly better battery life, pocket mode (yay!), better volume handling with different Bluetooth devices (no too lows or too highs) more devices turning up as aptX or better codecs instead of the basic SBC.

I cannot make it turn on if the upper part of the screen is covered. No need to turn off pocket mode. I tested the pocket mode very intensively and at no time however much I try or tap the whole screen or the fingerprint reader will it go to the lock screen anymore!

No you're not. I thinks it's a bug in the clock app. Workaround ist to schedule the DND mode to end in the same Minute Like your Alarm is ringing.
I have .27 on two Mi 9s, and both are experiencing problems:
- Battery drain
- Connection problems, both 4g/LTE and Wi-Fi
- Pocket mode, if exists, is enabled by default, because there is no switch on/off.
- Multiple issues with Android Auto
At least they fixed the AI button - it does pull Google voice assistant directly now.

Hey, they launched 10.2.28.0 EEA!
Updating to 10.2.28.0 EEA right now.
No 28 for my mi 9 running 27 so far. Does anyone have a direct link?

Thanks. No obvious difference to 27 yet
I updated to 10.2.28, no issue.
Except how can we confirm pocket mode? As someone said above, there is no on/off options. Is it enabled by default?

Cover the upper part of the screen with one hand and tap the fingerprint scanner fast for some time. Does this make the lock screen show then pocket mode doesn't work for you. It's on by default. It works well for me.

Hi, I've had my Redmi Note 10 Pro for 3 weeks now, and since the update to MUIU 12.5 loaded last week my alarms have stopped working. They seem to be set up in the Clock app, but they don't go off - and before anyone says I just slept through them, they don't appear as missed notifications.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I've got a feeling my phone shuts down overnight, I mean completely. I woke up at 3 this morning (cramp!) and while my toes were slowly uncurling themselves I checked my phone, and it was completely shut down. I restarted it, and this morning the alarms worked ok. I've disabled the useless 'always on' screen, and un-set the DND, anyone else having this problem? (MUIU 12.5.1.O)
FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM - for some reason the 'schedule on/off' {in Settings-Security) had been set to power the phone down at 1:30am, and reboot at 5:30. Presumably because I hadn't put my lock code in at 5:30 (zzzzz, 'nuff said), the alarms didn't register. But weird though, I don't recall changing the power settings like this
