Battery Saver closing apps randomly in use. - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

One day, I left battery saver on all day, and noticed that ALL APPS are closing randomly whlie Im using it. I want to use battery saver without the phone quitting the app during editing some important work. Any fix or toggle I have to switch?

The problem seems to be cleared by clearing battery and performance data (i think thats the one i cleared).

MIUI, EMUI, FlymeOS, and some other skins are notorious for force closing apps. Since you put it in battery saver, it makes the AI aggressively close apps once it's in a doze.
Also, what apps were you using and did you update it?

The problem was I wasnt in doze. If you read the description properly. I said while using the app, and every app. It just exits to the homescreen and kills it.

Have you enabled same particular configurations in developer options?
Dont keep activities and background process limit do those limitations on applications.

no good for me. maybe your juice plotter is drinking up your juice. try uninstalling it and see if there is a significant difference or try getting into setting in application and then manage application then select running application see if there is some rogue app there running that you don't use and force stop them just beware to force stop running system apps then charge your battery at full and see how much it drain. you may clear up your dalvik cache and battery stats first if you have that option.
That battery life is horrible. I regularly get > 24 hours with medium usage. There are many threads around here on improving battery life.
Yes. Absolutely terrible. Do you remember what you were doing about 7:45, when it started to tank? The temperature seems a little high to me, too.

[Q] Battery monitoring app?

I've obviously updated an app that's gone a bit rogue as my One is dropping to 30% by mid afternoon (last week it wouldn't hit that until 10pm!)
According to the system app monitor, my biggest user is "Android System" which contains a whole bunch of packages, but I doubt that's suddenly gone crazy... is there a simple free app that'll tell me which underlying process is buggering it up?

"BetterBatteryStats" app is good and worth for what you are looking for...
Hmm, so I tried two...
BetterBatteryStats suggests it's Instagram
BatteryStatsPlus suggests it's the Google Backup Transport?

Anyone else with big battery drain on 5.0.1?

Hello
I have this device since yestarday, And what I have noticed that battery drain is huge even when I don't use BT for smartwach, NFC, cellular internet or any other things. With very low usage battery runs out very fast.
Does anyone else have such problem with this device? is it something common?
Well i noticed that, after work around 3 p.m. i had 60% battery and now i have like 30%, very weird
I turned off double-tap-to-wake feature and I'll see if it change anything.
It's not that. It depends on the version you are running. If it's android core apps fault, then you must replace the messaging and dialing apps with some apps from play store. You can see which process is draining that much battery from checking the battery consumption in settings menu.
I have partially solved the problem by disabling double-tap feature and also the one that prevents phone from random actions in the pocket.
I have only few apps intalled and eveything that I don't use is disabled. I'm not going to root my device yet, but I will debloat it someday.
What apps may be disabled? Thanks

Android OS WakeLock from Hell

Hi,
When my My MotoG 2 is connected to WiFi Android OS sometimes keeps the device awake, eating up my battery until I restart the device. It just happens sometimes, not always.
My device isn't rooted yet due to warranty. I disabled everything I could in Settings>Applications.
Any advices?
Hum, maybe Ambient Display is the offender, let's try it....
Well, I've been testing it in the last few days, and it seems to be solved.
I turned off "Ambient display" and installed Glimpse Notifications for similar funcionality. Now Android Os keeps the device awake few minutes instead of many hours.
Hope it continues this way!

This is not how you troubleshoot wakelocks.
You need an app that analyse the cause of it, like Better Battery Stats.
Once you installed it, you've to leave your phone for around 2 or 3 hours without using it. Then you'll be able to see what causes the wakelock.

Please, read before reply.
Without root these apps are useless, that's why I used such a "brute force" approach. And I shared my results here just in case someobe else finds the same kind of problem, not to teach how to troubleshoot wakelocks, there are plenty of tutorials on this subject around.

Battery life, constant activity

Hey, my battery performance isn't great on OnePlus 3t with stock rom. WhenI look at the stats I can see constant activity bar. Is that something normal? If not, how can I fix it?

And that's my top apps, most of the juice went into Android system and Google apps
You have bad signal. Your phone is constantly searching for signal so it drains a lot of battery
That's right, I was in an underground location. However, the activity bar is almost always blue, even when the phone signal was ok. Is that something I should be worried about?

are you on latest oxygen os? you can also try clearing cache from recovery and let the phone settle for a couple of days and if the problem is still there try hard resetting your phone.
I am on the latest OxygenOS. Let me try clearing cache and let you know

check out the thread in my signature. I've been battling battery issues for a while. Common issues I have run across: either swiftkey keyboard or gboard keyboard (both drain battery), google app/now feed being enabled has done a similar thing (see the last page of that thread).
Hope you figure it out!
