Hi!
Yesterday my Mileston was OK (about 40% battery), I have put it in my pocket and after 30 minutes device was off. I thought that batterry is discharged. So I connected it to the wall charger, but nothing happened (white led doesn't light up, black screen) and I can't power it up. I have left it for night and today is the same situation - no charging led, doesn't power up. When I connecting it to the USB port white charging led is flashing but nothing more, screen still blank, doesn't power up. I can't go into bootloader.
Tried:
- Removed/reinserted battery
- Press power button with SIM removed
- Press power button with memory card removed
- Press power button and X
- Press power button and UP
- Press power button without battery inserted, while on wall charger
And nothing. Have you any idea?
@EDIT:
I have connected old nokia battery with cables and phone started up. Everything is ok.
Hi guys,
I think I have a new Xperia Z situation to report:
After getting water into the USB port and spending a few days drying out the phone, I now get symptoms cannot find in any other XDA thread:
- When I hold volume button UP while connecting the USB port, it quickly flashes RED and then stays BLUE, also after releasing the volume button. When I disconnect the cable the LED light goes off again
- When I just connect the USB without holding any button, the LED goes RED.
- While the LED is RED, I can hold the power + volume UP buttons simultaneously and then release the power button to change to BLUE.
But regardless what I do there are no life signs in Flashtool
Other symptoms:
In the cradle, the LED has gone from RED to ORANGE to GREEN, indicating full charge. But when connecting the charger directly to the USB port it just flashes 1x RED and 1x GREEN sub-second before it goes off. So it seems it doesn't charge through the USB port but only through the cradle.
The phone is turned off and does not react to the power button. Have pressed power, and power + volume up button, but without the usual vibration responsiveness.
I have tried to connect to the phone using Flashtool. Following tips from other threads I've tried both latest version & Beta 4, Multiple USB ports, etc.
But the phone never gets identified through the USB port.
The phone should be 100% dry now after multi-day rice bag + cold air hair dryer treatments. But I'm afraid I might have I tried to force it back on too early, perhaps before all water was out...
Still with the LED indicator showing a little sign of life, would you say there's a chance to rescue it?
All ideas and advice much appreciated.

The water might of caused a short circuit somewhere in the phone which has caused the bugs so drying it might not repair the damage, how long has the phone been dry for? Hopefully some1 has had the same issues and solved it somehow.

i have a problem like that when i had water damage the power button didn't work anymore and the volume + works as volume and power button...very very strange
Hi XDA community, i open this thread for know if anyone have a similar issue.
When i connect the USB charger to my Xperia Z, nothing appear, no led and no vibration, seems totally dead, this occur with an original wall charger or with a PC-USB connection, but just when i disconnect the battery of the phone with the USB cable connected to USB PC or wall charger, the red led blink 2 times and become blue if i press immediatly vol+ or become green if i press immediately vol-, obviously immediately after battery disconnection.
With the battery connected no signs of life, seems that if the battery is connected the USB connection refuse to activate, but the strange thing is that without battery i'm able anyway to flash any firmware without problem, but after a correct flashing without error no signs of life and no boot.
I think there something wrong with the battery management, but the battery works 100% because i tested with other phone and work, and i tried to use other working battery but always same problem.
Anyone have this issue or know something about it?
My phone after 0% battery shut down then when I plugged in to charger there is no RED LED light niether Power + Volume UP button method working ..help please how to resolve this
Did you had any weird readings with your battery, somehting like -30c temp or anything like that?If so try to tap during charging the point where the battery connector is(on the back of your phone).
I think you should keep charging until it can boot
I have a Z3 which won`t charge from anything other than magnetic cable.I tried holding volume up and pluging the cable, only blue light shows and nothing, tried holding volume down, flashes red green blue and nothing again. When i connect it only with usb phone starts with a big battery symbol but doesn`t charge...tried holding power+ vol down and vol up again nothing tried pressing the reset button near the sd slot but again no connection.Bad part is that I don`t have any drivers for it on this PC but still it does not connect...
maybe someone on the Z3 forum could help you
