Wifi will not work with custom roms

Hi please any suggestion , I flashed my galaxy s plus gt-i9001 with several roms cyanogen and aopk and still the wifi will not work it only keeps searching for networks and doesn't show any network , I wiped all the data and caches before the flashing every time , don't know what to do to solve this issue

flashed 2 different modems with no luck , extracted wifi folder from original firmware added it to cfw and flashed the rom now the wifi on/off button is inactive , any ideas please

Hello i have a friends phone with wifi problem
the wifi doesnot turned on and i have try many roms custom and stock
i have test it in

jb stock
jb cy
kk cy
now im using Resurrection Remix® KitKat v5.1.1 but continiou to have the problem
any solution or way to find the problem?

He wipw cache, dalvik cache and do factory reset on ROM change?

always i do full wipe cache davling and i have format system but the problem continue

same problem here...i flashed RR 5.1.1 all work fin except baterry life drain too fast....now i installed RR 5.1.2 over 5.1.1 wifi problem...reflashed RR .5.1.1 again wifi...
i wrong somewhere beacause i cant figure out..thx

problem solved because i made a backup when i install first RR 5.1.1 , i restored and now works just fine.ak

i have update to 5.1.2 and the problem continue...
can i test diferent kernel's on this rom?
maybe with diferent kernel works...

I got this problem too..
i wiped cache, delvik n factory reset then i falshed the rom and gapps again and didnt restored the previous data n problem got solved!
some times previous rom data or other data makes problem maybe in ur case too this may be the problem..
so try this n dont restore data maybe it works fine! :good:

allways i do cashe wipe, devlink and factory reset before i flash new rom and i have this problem
can i format data or how to pass data restore?

data restore through Titanium backup if u have made one or go to recovery> restore>advanced restore>data..
but i wont recommend u for data restore personally because most of the bugs of previous rom too come sometimes..its better to restore the apps from titanium that u need only! :good:

Try doing a full system wipe. Sdcard everything. And then flash stock firmware via odin. If then also the wifi dont work then it must be a problem in the handset. If this happens then just go to samsung care. They will take care of your phone

How to dial the connection?
I have a dial up modem connection (username & password). Every time I have to dial the connection to connect to the internet on the computer. How can I dial wireless connection (Over the WiFi) to connect my android device to internet?

Do you have wifi router? If not. Than you can't share wifi signal to the phone…

OK, then you can. You need to turn on WIFI in phone, find your rourter SSID - type password if you use it and you have it...

I'm able to connect to the router, but as I said I have dial up connection so unable to connect to the internet. I'm not that dumb.

When you use it on PC you dial it? And when you are connected to PC try to connect to WIFI.
I am just giving a suggestion, do not shoot me.

Mi8 SE Always on display problem

Good day,
from today I hv a problem on my AOD, it keep my display always ON even when it's in standby with date + times
I noted it because the screen is stll gray (pixels on) instead of black (pixels off as usual)
I tried a wipe, then to upgrade my rom fm eu 8.25 to pie eu 8.11.1 but the bug is still here
Someone can help me?

I'm in that ROM and I do not have that problem. install the Chinese ROM to remove any errors and then install the ROM EU again.
I did that once but the sensors did not work.

I will try but I don't understand how to flash "original" chinese rom could solve it. If I'm not wrong I need to do a full wipe before eu flash, so all info by previous rom should be deleted

You have to format data before installing eu rom.

How to revert back from stable pie to oreo?

I updated to pie stable and now my WiFi doesn't turn on, Hotspot doesn't turn on, and fingerprint does not get enrolled at the last touch.
Any ideas how to revert back to Oreo?

My WiFi and Hotspot didn't turn on at all and my MAC address got deleted. Now after two factory resets, it's working fine.
I know that WiFi and hotspot doesn't turn on together after the pie update. There's no fix to it as of now. I tried checking the developer options and there is something related to this. I tried enabling the option but it doesn't work.

Worse WIFI on MiA2 - Keeps disconnecting every 5 min

Hey guys,
Just got my relatives MiA2 temporarily due to my primary phone spoiling.
The phone is good but the wifi is so bad. I am sitting besides the router but still keeps disconnecting.
Is there any fix to this?
I am on stock Android 10, non rooted and locked bootloader.
Thinking of flashing a custom ROM to solve this and get a little more customization on the device
Will unlocking bootloader and flashing custom ROM like Blissrom solve this issue?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

you can flash custom kernel ( Agni ) with or without root
fastboot boot twrp
* you will need to unlock bootloader
then flash kernel ams select OLD PIE WIFI driver cos in android 10 the wifi cant pass 15Mbps or connect from far

I will flash blissrom and then try this kernal Agni with the specific old pie driver.

I am rooted and on blissrom and still facing wifi issue

Have you reset Network rating provider to none ?
(Settings-> Network... -> WiFi -> WiFi preferences -> Advanced -> )
