How can i root redmi k20 pro premium edition ?
Well, first we need to know if there is a twrp for this phone yet. Then we can root.
Haven't unlocked mine yet until I see a twrp for raphaels.

I root using magisk via ADB. I didn't use TWRP because I can't flash it for some reason. After I install TWRP (k20 pro), it reverts back to redmi-recovery 3.
Meaning I can't install TWRP permanently. I want to flash K20 Pro rom and try if it will run even underclocked.
---------- Post added at 01:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:31 PM ----------
OK! So I didn't expect this.
I was able to flash TWRP (permanently) and install Xiaomi.eu K20 Pro rom to my K20 Pro Premium 12/512!
What is funny is that the CPU clock shown on EU rom is faster by .01 than the OFW. I thought it will underclock or brick my mobile phone.

Yes, you can tell by the MIUI version. It is running smooth except some aps are no longer compatible with Android 10. Like Netflix. :'(

Hi, sir. Did you root and install TWRP using the guides here for k20 pro? Like you can just treat the premium edition like a regular k20 pro?
How about trying to install a custom rom? Please tell us if it works. Thank you.
I have just received the k20pro premium and started unlocking process
Now waiting for the deadly 168 hours unlock duration

I recently bought Redmi 4A phone. It has snapdragon processor and running MIUI GLobal 8.2.1.0 (MCCMIDL). I want to unlock the bootloader without waiting for permission from Xiaomi. How can I do it? I don't want to flash any other ROM. I just want to get root access and install TWRP and supersu. Currently, I am getting Partition Flashing Is Not Allowed during the flashing of TWRP using fastboot.
What makes you think it is possible to unlock the bootloader without the unlock permission by xiaomi?

You cant unless there will be a unofficial method.
afaik, xiaomi locked down the edl mode so no unofficial methods, only official method is the way to go.

yep it was possible with redmi note 3 pro but not with the newer phones that xiaomi released.
xiaomi been locked down the edl mode on redmi note 4x so i assume same goes for redmi 4a.
Technically speaking, you can just flash the TWRP via the EDL mode (download mode) (power off, volume up + power, download mode, flash with MiFlash) but

No, I don't think that's possible. And old version of the tool or not, you'll have to wait 72 hours.
did any one try the deep flash cable on redmi note 4 (x) snapdragon yet
you can actually root without unlocking bootloader
it is possible to root without unlocking the bootloader, but it only works with older miui 8 versions, 8.5.30 or under, you can use 360root, but this can be revoked with the security app, but i recommend it other than unlocking the bootloader, bbut the app is chinese.

As per above Thai video, must click "save user data" upon flashing. Will that solve the safety net?
This is a fastboot rom and needs to be flashed with MiFlash tool. It is recommended that you choose clean all. But do not select clean and lock.
It's a global rom with multiple languages.

You will get your bootloader locked and data wiped, i have done it. Only problem after that is that you will need to unlock bootloader again without waiting time atleast for me.
Hm guys I'm thinking to flash it but I'm wonder

2) if this will be the one and only global line and so it will get the updates
3) no dev global will be out? Cos it get faster updates than stable for sure (I'm assuming this is stable global)

It should be compatible.
Do we have a comparison between the K20 & Mi 9T ? I guess if it's possible for this model it will be possible with K20 Pro
I will probably buy the K20 pro on Aliexpress, I think we will wait a long time before the Mi 9T Pro come to Europe

Good point.Took a look over on the 9T forums and they have indeed achieved this. Little bit of confusion about band 20 but I don't think this can be obtained.Someone else had problems with Google pay after flashing 9T to k20,but otherwise seems to work fine.

I have seen the K20pro ROM with the MIUI Global stable code PFKMIXM 10.3.0.2. is this a fake global or official ROM?

I THINK I had read somewhere that official Xiaomi Stable ROMs always end with a 0. But I can't find the source anymore. This would make the screenshoted ROM a fake
I might be wrong
Is there any chance that we would be able to flash mi 9t pro fastboot on k20 pro and lock the bootloader? I am not a fan of cn roms but i would like to have find my device working.

do you have a ROM mi9t pro PFKMIXM? If you have, I ask for the download link
I bought a K20 Pro from honorbuy and the firmware is MIUI 10.3.0.2 PFKMIXM. The device is named Mi 9T Pro and not K20 Pro. honorbuy specify that the phone has a Global ROM with OTA support.
Ive found a website which releases the global roms http://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?device=1700361 and I cannot seem to find PFKMIXM maybe we have to wait?
I just got a new OTA update.
I have K20 Pro from China
Installed MIUI 10 with no problem
You should have unlocked bootloader and install it via fastboot

Of course not. It came with Global ROM and unlocked bootloader. At least it's not a fake ROM like someone here on the forum said.
I want to install PE Rom once I unlock my mi9t in a few days but I heard the ROMs need Chinese vendor to be flashed. I am in UK with global Rom will there be any issues.
Guy's can you please check this and confirm this is the official release http://c.mi.com/thread-2427155-1-0.html ?
As I'm stuck with the Chinese ROM and also if I were to flash this ROM do I need to unlock my bootloader?
Xiaomi started selling today the new K20 pro premium version which has SD 855+ with 512 / 12 Combo
My Main Question : Will it have the same ROMs and development as normal K20 Pro or will it be different due to different chipset as well its availability seems will be for China only and hence weak development progress
Same question here, thinking about getting a k20 pro premium from China if the ROMs will be compatible.
ROMs will not be compatible. Different processor.

MIUI is ok, third-party custom ROM does not know if it can succeed.

I didnot get you quite well
Do you mean that it can be unlocked and flashed miui 11 for regular k20 Pro and any version Indian or global or even xiaomi.eu ?!
If this is true then it is a game changer and means it can be dealt as regular K20 Pro and to stick with any modified MIUI
Its a completely different processor tbh. It might not be labeled as raphael, so the answer is no. It wont be compatible.

I've seen that it's labelled as raphaels. That's what the Xiaomi Firmware Updater site is labelling it as anyway https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/raphaels/

I have requested the order via Mi china though there is no sight of this avengers themed black color
Only the usual black carbon color
I am pretty sure it is not compatible because its code is 'raphaels'. Yes, I own the device and I'm not gonna risk bricking my phone.

You can flash ROM miui of mi 9T Pro but CPU receive 2.84 GHz.
I wonder if it is possible to flash Black SHark 2 Pro rom since both running the same processor, ram and gpu.
Runs games at 60Hz?
