Downgrade to oreo from latest pie - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Can this still be done using Odin3_v3.13.1? I have a n960f and i regret upgrading to the latest patch. I heard many people saying you can no longer go back. How can i do this/flash back to the latest oreo version?

you would need to use TWRP.

SOAK TEST

Hello everyone
So first of all I wanted to inform you that they are not an expert ..
Then we move to the "problem":
I installed the soak test out yesterday.. -> [5.0.2] [OFFICIAL] [XT1068] Lollipop Indian OTA Captured <-
So I have not registered on the site to become a tester, and hope to be approved..but by the news yesterday I downloaded the soak test of 'os, I put on internal memory and I did look for updates and exited.
I installed it and that's fine, but my concern is:
I have invalidated the warranty?
i Receive all future ota smoothly as if I had not done anything?
sorry if I do not write well, but are not English.
Hey @djblankino ,
If you unlocked the bootloader then your Warranty is void.
You'll recieve all future updates if you do not modify the ROM in any way, i.e.. Rooting, Custom Recovery etc..
Hope this answers your doubts.

thanks a lot I've calmed much.
Do not think I've unlocked the bootloader because I only put the zip in memory and updated via ota.

Your warranty is with Amazon, not Motorola. EU law allows you unlock the bootloader and change the software on your device without voiding the warranty. If Amazon refused to accept the return of phone with a hardware fault in the EU, they would be breaking the law. Ignore KrishnaSagar's post; your warranty is still valid.

Unlock bootloader

How do I unlock the bootloader of my Huawei mate 9 ?
Did you get the key before July 24? If not.... you can't. Not without paying some third party that might or might not work. (eg. Funky Huawei )
This worked for me. But you have to pay 4€.

It does work but first you need to downgrade your phone to nougat (Android 7.x) first and then it will work.

No, but there's a chance that the tools you buy access to might be able to extract that unlock code...no guarantee...no refunds...
EDIT seller says its 4.4.23+ EMUI/Android Version: 8.0 is that the unlockable one or is there more to the version that says it?

You need the build number and security patch date.
Pretty much all EMUI 8 builds on the Mate 9 run a 4.4.23+ kernel, even up through the latest security patches.
Once you know the build number, find it in Firmware Finder, and find the build for that region that enables GPU Turbo. If it's an older build, then it's likely that you could use the official rollback firmware to get the bootloader unlocked.
here ya go that is pic he provided

Yup, .375 is the latest one that's good, after that .377 had GPU Turbo and issues with downgrading.
so im good to downgrade? i will message you when i get the phone in a few days thanks

You won't get into the trouble that others did with .377 or later, yes.
But there's no guarantee everything works nicely.
Do read as much as possible before doing anything.
Also keep in mind that Android 9 is coming soon so maybe you don't need to unlock and whatnot.
for open kirin roms do you need to decrypt the data?

The title. I am waiting for the update and yet i haven't got anything so far.
Still nothing for me in France.

That's completely up to you man. You still get official updates after you update unless you root I think. I haven't even bothered with root on this version

Roll back to Oreo U3 to U2?

Hi Everybody,
I'm kinda stuck, how can I roll back to oreo after several updates?
The binary block from u3 to u2 got me stuck, my build N960FXXU3CSI3
I did find a claim that there is a u3 oreo combination "N960FXXU3ASF1" at [samsungcombination]...
But I dont know if its "real", I'd really appreciate the help and insight,
Thank You

You are on a Bootloader V3. There is no way to go back to a V2 bootloader.. You can only downgrade firmware versions of the same bootloader version.

well, 99.99% of the time. Its uncommon, but some bootloaders will allow you to revert in very certain circumstances. Unsure about this revision change as i dont have this phone, but that 0.01% chance isnt weighing in your favor
