Display timeout - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

I noted that the display timeout is set to default to 10 sec and a total of 15 sec.
Too fast for anyone want a read something avoiding touching the screen to maintain it lit on.
I didn't found any setup for this timeout. I wouldn't set it up minimum to 60 sec.
Please, how can i do it?
UPDATE: found it in lockscreen & password settings under "Sleep" - SOLVED.

You can change it in settings -> lockscreen

Hey
have a problem with timeout too. I can change it to whatever in settings but it seems to be fixed to 5 seconds.
Tried all kind of timeout apps from play store but they only work until Miui rom kicks them.
Read somewhere it could be a hardware problem but I don't think so because some apps work (temporarily).
Please help

[Noob question] Setting up 'Car Mode'

Hey folks,
I'm totally new to Tasker and after having spent hours reading tutorials and browsing forums, I hope to get some help here.
I'm not able to set up any task at all admittedly.
I'm trying to set up a 'Car Mode', i.e. when my device connects to my Bluetooth Car Adapter, it's supposed to trigger a couple of tasks, such as
- Setting Display Timeout to maximum (30 minutes)
- enable 'Double-tap to wake up'
- Read messages aloud (SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, ...)
I've set up a profile with BT connected and the name of my adapter and tried to trigger one of the given tasks, but I can't even get the tasks running.
When, for example, setting up a new task ("Display Timeout: Max") and adding an action 'Settings --> Display Settings', I get the possibility to add the %DTOUT variable and set the value to 30, but it's always an If variable.
How can I set up this (actually fairly simple imo) task: If BT device connected, then set display timeout to 30 minutes.
Sorry for this most likely stupid question.
Thanks a ton in advance!
Edit: I figured out how to make my device read messages aloud (Thanks to Notification Listener) and set the display timeout to 30 resp. 1 minute (It wasn't the Settings section but the display section).
Still no clue how to toggle Double-Tap to Wake ...

HELP - New Huawei user - a few questions

Please help - Life-long Blackberry user who can't seem to figure a few things out.
#1. My pulse light notification is turned on however ....no pulse light. (I have even assigned specific colors to certain apps) I have confirmed in 'settings' that the pulse notification is enabled.
#2. I have set certain contacts to have shortcuts on my home screen - they appear there quite fine. However, when I click on them, nothing happens. Nothing comes up. No view of the contact. I inadvertently selected initially, open as a contact always, but again - nothing. The short cut icons are there, but are not accessible when clicked. I have removed them and replaced them again - same result.
#3. How do I turn off my 'sleep' mode or even change it from the max of 10 mins?
#4. Why is it that when I turn off my screen, with the red button, so that the screen is blacked out, for battery purposes is why I usually do this, why is it that I don't receive notifications when the screen is blacked out? I have my phone set to vibrate and I can barely tell it is vibrating when it goes off. Again, pulse notification indicators were how I would know I have a message/email etc.,, on my bb however, they are not working per #1 above.
#5. In addition, further to #4 - when I do close off my screen using the red button on the side, I am required to enter my screen lock sequence to open, even if the phone has only been off for a few seconds. As I mentioned in #3, I have the 'sleep' set to 10mins - so why does it lock and not simply allow me to reengage the phone without having to unlock?
I am confident that these are all simply issues - however being completely new to the phone, I am having difficulty figuring out how to resolve them.
Thank you in advance to those providing feedback!

Kimberly

1) Does it light when the phone is plugged to charger?
2) I'm using a different launcher (Nova Launcher) and contacts shortcuts works fine, so I don't know
3)I think it's the 3rd option in Display setting
4) You maybe should have to set permission manually in Battery settings
5) Under Privacy and Security, find Lock Screen (or Screen Lock), then Security Lock setting and there you can change the lock delay time

Always Display Turns Itself Off

My AOD shuts itself off when I press the power button. The display will show for a split second, then the screen goes black. When I go into settings, the AOD button has moved from on to off. I have it set to 'show always' too. Also, it has permission for battery and data use in background.
Anyone experiencing this too, or have any suggestions?
Its a bug when you set a downloaded theme. set originale theme on aod

Android notification

I am looking for a solution for notifications in my application.
The notification begins and ends at a specific time, e.g. start: 8:00, end 12:00. In the meantime, the application sends a notification every 30 minutes. Any solutions?
Hi
You can go through the settings option. Sometimes the problem is of default which we forget to change. May be the application setting the default notification setting is of 30 min.

Question Lockscreen motion wallpaper stops playing after 5 seconds instead of 15 seconds.

It plays the full 15 sec when a notification turns on the screen but when I double tap to turn it on it only plays for 5 sec. I've tried different ones and used my own.
Anybody know of a reason or fix for this.
There really is no way to officially extend the lockscreen screen on time.
There is a workaround though.
Open Settings.
Tap Advanced Features
Tap Motion and Gestures.
Enable to the toggle to "Keep Screen on While Viewing."
Pretty much, this will keep yer screen on as long as you are looking at it... All the time. But the screen will resume its normal screen off function when you turn away.
Hope this kind of helps
