MAC problem - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Two days after the update to MIUI 11 I started to receiving a message "Set a correct MAC address" I made a factory reset, restore from backup on Google and Xiaomi cloud and the problem still happening. I just reset the settings of WiFi, Bluetooth and mobile data and also, it didn't work. This message appears every second for 1-2 minutes and after 5-10 minutes it appears again, it appears even when I don't have WiFi enabled. I searched the problem and I just found a post of Samsung user but he said that he made a factory reset and it was solved (not like me).

You shouldn't restore from old backups when you reset to get rid of a problem. That will often defeat the purpose of the reset and introduce the error again. In a case like this you just must bite it and start configuration from scratch.

Some problems after flashed to Checkrom V1

I have three more problems with this rom.
sorry for my bad English
1. my main google account keep asking me permission when I use the apps of googles, like Gmail, Doc, Reader, Map. like this

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
even I choose allow, once in awhile it will appear again. it seems not saving the status I allowed the permission. this made my Gmail auto sync stuck, cannot receive push mail, which is very annoying.
I need to open Gmail app to manual refresh to see if there is any new mail.
2. I got three times today since I flashed the rom, The screen just suddenly go black when I am using the phone, then cannot wake up the phone nor home button and power button.
after like 10-15 seconds, the screen back on , it appears the lock screen but it's all black, the lockscreen wallpaper is gone , wait 3-5 seconds then the wallpaper back on and the phone become functional again.
it's like restarted the launcher automatically, without any error.
3. the Wifi wasn't working earlier, I full wiped the phone and restore back my apps and data, then the Wifi work again, now after few hours of use, I try to turn on Wifi again, it doesn't work again.
I toggle on Wifi, no any network are able to scanned and the wifi will automatically switch off after 30 seconds or so.
any one know how to solve all these ? Thanks

[Q] ICS V28a-c - Non working home button

Okay! Am i really the only one with the none working home button???
At a random moment all my Settings (screen timeout, display brightness, etc...) are reseted, my home button wont work anymore and the Power Menu looks like this.
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now it happened the 5th time. 3 times at V28a and 2 times at V28c.
I flash the ROM with smartflash, make my settings, install my apps (3 Times with Titanium Backup)
But Titanium seems not the Problem. It happened even if i install my apps via PlayStore.
Have anyone a idea why this happens?
i met this problem once.
Eventually i tried to factory reset the phone, and the problem was gone..

Honor 9 lite deadly slow, Battery drainage after Android 9 update

Hello all,
I have few questions about the latest Android update(Android version 9) on my device honor 9 lite.
1) Why all the apps get open in background automatically ?
2) Why it got so slow, nothing works, like it used to be?
3) Battery drainage issue?
Please I request honor to fix these terrible bugs ASAP.
Have you made a back up via the backup tool? If so normally after major update it's best to factory reset the device or to clear the cache.
After this let you phone do its thing for a few hours and see how it goes.

I have cleared the cache. The main problem is all the apps automatically getting started in background mode. This is the main cause of battery drainage and my frustration. I can't unlock the phone every minute and clear all those apps from background that I have cleared a minute ago before locking. Maybe in day if I don't have any work, but definitely not at night. This is the worst experience I had in my life with any phone.

Go into settings then battery there is a section on there called app launch, set everything to manual and you'll be able to stop this issue.

Question Clearing Wifi Data Usage Statistics Without Factory Reset

Hey guys,
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and I have been trying to
clear the "Wifi Data Usage" statistics in the setting menu.

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It seems like there was someone that asked the same thing 8 years ago.
How can I delete/erase the data and wifi usage statistics on my device?
I checked all over the net, but could not find the answer to this. I want to know if there is a way to delete/erase the data usage and wifi usage that is saved to my device. My phone is not rooted, so I am really hoping I can do without rooting...
forum.xda-developers.com
However, this method seems outdated.
I found another method on the internet saying that I had to go into /data/system/netstats
and delete all the files there to clear the statistics.
However, I was not able to find any files to delete in the first place in this directory.
I've tried different file manager applications, including termux, to see if there were any files, but It was empty.
I'm in a situation where I have to frequently clear the statistics, so doing a factory reset every time is not a viable option.
I plead you, Android Wizards of the XDA Forum, please have sympathy for this lost soul and guide me to the truth.
Thank you
Settings menu has option to factory reset Network settings only.
You will have to enter wifi credentials etcetera again.
Hey any update on this?
I'm also looking for the same,
/data/system/netstats folder doesn't have any files to delete.

Question persistent "NFC tag detected" after updating to MIUI14 Official Rom

Hi,
since the update (via OTA) of my 11 Ultra to MIUI 14 (official rom), I constantly get the following notification:
"NFC tag detected
Looks like you haven't interacted with detected NFC tags for a long time. Your device won't read or write tags for n..."
the text ends there and tapping on the notification does not do anything. Pressing on it only gives me the snoozing button and the settings button, which redirects me to the NFC Service on the phone where the "show notifications" is on and cannot be turned off.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I have tried disabling this via ADB following this guy's suggestion but no luck.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/uzk22m
any help?
thanks
gotta be the online one i guess...
Getting this too, typical MIUI software design stupidity.

I just can't believe no one else has complained about it. I'm literally thinking of changing my phone because of it. I get this notification every 5 minutes and it hits won't go away!!
