Magisk on Android 10/Q

so i just upgraded today from xiaomi.eu 9.8.1 to 9.9.6...after the phone booted up, i installed the canary magisk manager and got the latest canary build (v19.5)...then i went into twrp, flashed the new magisk and rebooted the phone just to see it get stuck in a bootloop...i flashed xiaomi.eu 9.9.6 again and everything was fine but no magisk or root obviously
no idea where i went wrong or what i need to do to sort it out...any help would be much appreciated

hello there, what i did is i updated to the new update of the ROM, then i deleted Magisk with Magisk Uninstaller on TWRP , then i installed again the Magisk and rebooted the phone.

Hi friend.
I did the same update but i didn't install Magisk 19.5.
First i updated from 9.8.1 to 9.9.6, then start the android. The root is gone. So, i just install the stable version of Magisk (19.4) using twrp and everything works fine. I did the Magisk upgrade direct from app later and now i using the version 19.5

Unable to install Riru Core module and edxposed module in magisk on MIUI 11 -11.0.1.0

I have successfully rooted MIUI 11 - 11.0.1.0 Indian Rom
Now I am trying to install Riru Core module 19.5(27) to enable edxposed but getting this error both in magisk and TWRP.

i installed normally
1-magisk-riru-core
2-magisk-EdXposed-YAHFA-v0.4.6.0
3- EdXposedManager-org.meowcat.edxposed.manager
try these
and report back if its working

Magisk for Realme UI

I flashed the Realme UI update and have unlocked bootloader and TWRP. Since there is no clear post for Magisk and Realme UI, does anyone know where and how I can get Magisk for Realme UI? Is there anything else I need to install to get it working?

At this point, I don't think anyone has actually tried it, I'd strongly recommend making a backup in TWRP ensuring you check every partition in the list before doing so, flashing Magisk, and testing how it works.

Ive tried it.
Remember to Backup your data partition before flashing( do not put ur backup file in /data again...), better remove password encrypt too (simply disable the lockscreen password incase soft brick. Sometime you need to format /data to enter system after flashing stock rom)
Flash magisk 20.4 then reboot to recovery again then reboot to system can do the trick.
Btw fingersensor wont work anymore

1. Go to official github releases: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases
2. Download Magisk Manager version 20.3
Myself, and other people got stuck on bootloop with 20.4
3. Flash the downloaded .zip using your TWRP
Enjoy Magisk on Realme UI

Question Unable to update since april

Hello i have xiaomi mi 11 china version i download the miui 12.5.1 and rooted it in april following this post ( . Until now no updates have been available and it has been very buggy . So i decided to update to a newer version of miui the 12.5.6 trough the choose an update package option in the settings i choose the file that i have downloaded from xiaomi.eu and then they say

The way you update is that you download the package like you did..... Then reboot manually into twrp....twrp will ask you for screen unlock pass..then locate the downloaded file..then you flash it and thats it....no issue there

I used fastboot and flashed the package the first time should i used the same way

It changed since them.....its twrp now....
1.flash twrp through fastboot
2.boot into twrp through fastboot
3.flash rom....easy as cake

How Can i not loose my data w my apks to i only want to upgrade

I got it yo work flashed it with fastboot but the miui 12.6 that is running android 12 keeps crashing , it shuts down by itself randomly moh and android 12 doesn't support twrp when ever i go into twrp it freezes can't press anything

You will have to loose your data. You were on stable 12.5.1.0, I think original miui cn, and switched to xiaomi.eu weekly. Otherwise you can get rondom crashes of system and apps. So it's recommended by switching to format data.
Yeah xiaomi.eu thread said that twrp is for the moment not a12 compatible. That's why they release fastboot rom again.

You gotta be more careful when you enter this world of rooting and stuff. First of all, RN11 4G is not spes. Its codename is "selene". MIUI code confirms that the Redmi 10 2022 is Xiaomi's global version of the Redmi Note 11 4G.
Get the recovery ffile from here. There's also a root tutorial there.

OK thanks for your response. See screenshot. Perhaps I'm mixing up the names

According to Wikipedia, Redmi 10 codenamed selenes, even if they also sell it in China as Redmi Note 11 4G, is completely different hardware and features a Mediatek chipset, unlike our spes/spesn Redmi Note 11 with the Snapdragon 680.
Xiaomi has completely lost it with the naming and it's really hard to keep track. I'm sure 4jean is on the right path and does indeed own a spes.

I notice the device as in the screenshot is called RN11, and there's no 4G. Maybe that's what set off the confusion. Yes, RN11 is snapdragon, but RN11 4G is mtk. Bottomline, you're right 4jean. Thanks Schmuppes for correcting me there.

- Boot recovery first, fastboot boot twrp.img
- In twrp, flash current twrp version, reboot to recovery again
- flash magisk.apk in twrp, reboot phone
- click magisk app to update

Also don't use 25.2 magisk. It doesn't work for some reason
