Hello xda members.
I am experiencing weird bug that persisted from Miui 10 to 11. Actually there were 2. First one was my lock screen wallpaper kept changing to theme default one (red ugly one) after every phone reboot. Although this one seems to be gone (or the time this bug occurs has prolonged, I dunno).
The second one, more serious one is that every time I reboot my phone, my Gpay card dissapears. My membership cards are still there, but my Visa kept disappearing.
I tried adding my card directly Via gpay and not my bank app and now even though the card is not erased, it does not work at all because every reboot it asks for new cvc code.
I can even tell when this is going to happen. When I launch the app a white background appears and there's a circle in the middle signalling that it is loading . This load screen does not appear when my card is not removed. However when I don't reboot phone the payment works just fine.
My phone is not rooted, official EU Rom, and I passed safety net test.
Any ideas?

It seems I found a solution guys. This is what worked for me (at least it seems it helped so far)
1) Navigate to Device Settings.
2) Scroll down and tap on „Dual apps“.
3) Check if Dual apps is switched off. In the same window, tap on settings button (gear icon) in the top right corner.
4) Tap on dual app accounts > Delete data of dual app accounts.

So who's done the leap and updated to CM 6?
Here's what I noticed, and I've be curious if anyone else has too.
1/ Apps2SD: Not quite sure what they are doing but there is some sort of method that uses 'moved to SD Card' but it seems that noone is calling it Apps2SD. It essentially does the same and seemingly working on my phone but my internal memory is down to 31.74MBs.
2/ The Email App (NOT to be confuse with GMail). Under 5.0.7 it worked just fine. Under 6 it will receive and I can read emails but I cannot reply. When I hit reply I get taken back to the list of emails I received.
3/ I'm using a new GApps Set:

Gmail works but Maps does not. It opens to the grey grid then closes. It's like the GPS wasn't turning on but it is turned on.
For this, I'm gonna go back to the other GApps set and see if that fixes this annoying issue.

Well, installing the old GApps set didn't work....it was acting like I did click on 'install anyzup from SDcard" in the recovery menu....oh well, reinstalled the newest suggested set and I'm back to where I was. GMail working but no Maps.
For those who can understand logs:

I'm going to try a fix_permissions but I am rather loath to do so...last time ir broke a bunch of other things which ended up in a re-flash.....well, here goes nearly lost hope....
Yeah...shoulda known....fix_permissions just seems to break things...

Phone rebooted after it finished booting up and I hadn't touched a thing.
It booted up and stayed the 2nd time but couldn't get into my wireless settings to tell it to connect to my provider without a FC.

Sigh...back to wiping and reinstalling again....maybe I will go back to 4.2....
Ok lets say i am in yahoo (dowloaded offical app not the pre-installed at&t IM app). I will finish what i am doing in yahoo, leave it running and return to the HOME screen. A few minutes later (after receiving no messages) I wake up my phone & it is yahoo! It shold still be at the HOME screen as this is the last thing that was open before sleep mode. This also happens randomly with my text and call log. I will make a call and hang up. Phone times out in 15 seconds and is left on the home screen. I wake it up and my list of calls is on the display....this should NOT BE! Text messages show up after the wake up some times as well. Additionally I am on my 3rd captivate with a brand new sim card and I will be on the phone for 5 minutes in a COMPLETE singnal area and my call will not just "drop" it's almost like the entire phone app disables and I lose all signal for 10 seconds & it regains and the screen blanks out. What gives??!!! I am using task manager and I have the "phone" ignored as proccess that it should not auto-kill so I do not know! Any help with any of these issues will be appreciated!
I would uninstall task manager first to make sure it's not the problem. If its still happening keep uninstalling apps one at a time until you get back to the factory loadout.
My thinking is that if this is your third phone then it's most likely a software issue. I haven't seen anything around the forums about similar problems out of the door so I have to think its something you've modified or an app that is causing the issue.
The only alternative i can think of would be to start reading up on each app you've installed to see I'd they've been tested on the captivate.
Good luck
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
LE S3, unrooted, using nova launcher. Two sim cards: one is ATT, the other is China Unicon(roaming on ATT). Just had the phone about three weeks.
My S3 often reboot itself, during text message, or browsing, or playing youtube, or in some apps, or even it is screen off resting on my desk. I couldn't find a pattern.
I performed factory reset and install about 10 frequently used apps. It has just 1 reboot over last 24 hours. I was cast youtube to chromecast and the phone was screen off and resting.
Another annoying issue is the fingerprint randomly lost function, it refuses my fingerprint. If I tried to add a new fingerprint, it prompted let me clean my finger and fingerprint identifier. Usually a reboot will solve the issue. But sometime it lost fingerprint function after a reboot.
Does anyone have similar experience? what could be the cause of those two issues? Is there any debugging log that can be checked? Should I contact support to get a fix/replacement?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks.
Replace You're Phone..
Start from the beginning. Back a few weeks ago, when 4.1.5 was leaked but not officially announced, I downloaded 4.1.5 and flashed it through TWRP. Then 4.1.6 was released officially right after I've done my upgrading. So I CLEAN FLASHED 4.1.6 again on my phone.
Now the weird part: after 2 days of normal use (no flashing, no new apps installed), I left my phone charging today while went asleep. After I woke up, my phone is at 15% of battery. Although connect to the DASH charger, the phone doesn't charge at all with its LED showing red.
More weird is I can't open the notification center. I can pull the 5 toggles down, but can't open the whole menu.
Plus, notifications don't show up (no toast notification, no icons while in the homepage either).
My access to developer options is also blocked (says "Developer options is not available to this user").
The home button, recent apps button DOESN'T work - no matter if u switch the buttons in settings, or toggle the on-screen soft buttons. Although the "return" button and the fingerprint sensor DOES work.
Root access is still there (using Magisk).
While using TitaniumBackup, the app warns "This device's Android ID has changed". And a few apps have logged themselves out (I guess because of the ID change).
I think I can solve the problem by simply factory reset it. But Questions is : what's going on with my phone?
Its a common, not so common issue. I had exactly that same issue twice on two different fones. My old xperia L and my oneplus one. In my particular case, this was triggered when my settings were automatically restored from my google account (apps auto download, wifi settings, display settings etc.) After a factory reset.
After this, android id "crashes" showing that it has been changed, and statusbar only allows one pull down, along with the others bugs you described.
You should not allow google account to restore your settings (or at least that worked out for me) and restore manually your data. (Especially your display settings).
Hope it helps, i thought i was the only one.

Wow! I can't image someone had the same issue. So i actually re-flashed 4.1.6 and it's working.
But the charging problem persists. I've tried multiple power sources from the room, the kitchen, etc. None seem to be working.
Strangely, I was able to charge the device once a few hours ago at evening. And then it stopped charging again after I got the system working.
Any idea?
Hello my nerdy pals!
I bought a new Pixel 5a yesterday and set it up normally... no bootloader unlocking or rooting or whatnot.
Everything works as expected except for these features:
1) Wake screen for notification (the one I actually care about)
2) Tap to check phone
3) Lift to check phone
I googled this issue and read a post that suggested I boot the phone in Safe Mode to see if the features still don't work. I did that, and in safe mode they work. The post further said that if it works in safe mode and not normally then I have an app installed that is causing the problem. I should then uninstall apps that are possibly interfering, reboot, and then try the feature again.
I have around 100 apps (nothing crazy, this includes all the system/stock apps). Rather than try to uninstall/reboot/test/reinstall each one, I'm wondering if anyone here has any suggestions for solving this issue.
UPDATE: I ended up the process of uninstalling all my apps to find the culprit, and I did find it.
The app causing the problem was, strangely, a radio app for Canadian stations.
