Hello,
My Galaxy S6 just went black and got hard bricked. No response whatsoever from the power button, no charging indicator, no soft/hard reset combinations...
Is there anyway i can force it to start through software? i did this in the past with other phones that werent detected by the computer , but i can't find anything for samsung.
Thanks in advance.
You might need a new battery or maybe just cleaning the usb port will get it charging again. I one had a charger that charged one phone but failed to charge my other one, so I thought it was a problem with the phone hardware. If it do to rooting and flashing, try serching the S6 forums.

hello, am new to forum and have come to seek help.
Yesterday I was updating my i9000b galaxy and how the process caught in odin decided to pull the USB cable (complete nonsense).
now he will not turn over, I tried to reboot, put in download mode and nothing works.
the phone turned off and not connected by anything, not the error screen appears, display and lights off completely!
I did a jig with usb tutorials I have seen here in the forum and does not work.
what can I do? my phone is fixed?
appreciate the help!
@EDIT
I put the phone into the outlet to load and it gets very hot.
with the battery cell in this state takes charge?
I need help!
I detail the problem I'm having.
A few days ago I'm having problems with my phone, after fully or partially charged my battery, when I unplug the original charger or PC, on my phone still appearing as "loading or loaded" and when I try to connect again longer loads , I try restarting the phone and then I figure I have the actual battery and leaves me no charging, but if I try to plug in the charger that does not recognize me, and not charge the phone and to re-detect it necessarily must remove your battery and turn it on with the charger set to charge me normally.
If you think it is the charger jack, ALWAYS connect the charger with the phone off, I fully recognize the phone at the first time, no need to connect several times or move the cable.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S Advance.
My OS: 10.1 Cyanogenmod Nightly with Jelly Bean.
This problem appeared after using me for 3 or 4 weeks the Cyanogenmod so I do not think it's exactly that reason.
I've tried reinstalling the custom ROM, and also did the Wipe cache, the dalvik cache, and factory reset, I had a single result.
I have also blown my phone and connect the cables.
Check my connector is not damaged.
Probe with other original chargers.
I loaded the original firmware samsung and still the problem
Finally, i tried all possible methods that can extend my knowledge techs, can someone give me a hand that knows how to fix it or someone who has gone through this problem?
Please solutions have not tried yet and that may be effective! Thank you!

We can't tell that unless we can take a look at your device, but you can take your phone to a Repair shop and get it fixed right?
And did you let the phone completely discharge the battery then turn it on by connecting the charger? One more thing, make sure that your charging port is clean because dusts might cause this problem maybe....

I have not really tested yet cleaning up the connector, no more blowing it.
Could lead to a technician for repair but I honestly is the last thing you would want to do not for money but it at least in my country there is no trained technicians repair and when you do not always look good then, sequels often fall ill repair and the technicians do not take care and also are not cheap, even sometimes prefer to buy a new phone before sending it to repair ..
Guys today faced a strange issue. In the afternoon I connected my phone to the charger as my battery was only 16% left. It started charging. Then right now when I picked up my phone I was shocked to see that it was still 16% and charging. Same "connect your phone to a power supply etc" appeared. Then I disconnected the charger and reinserted it. Now it is showing 19%. That means it is now charging. Could you please tell me what could have been the issue?
Hi, I know this is a fairly repeated topic, however I am really desperate to fix this as I have really important info in my phone that just won't start after the battery died.
A bit about my device:
Bought in March 2013
Could not switch on at all, after the battery died last Tuesday 9 Sept 2015
Past few weeks it has been charging intermittently (I thought that it was really a loose cable) but it charged normally on other cables including plugging into my iMac. This time it actually turned off completely whilst I was charging it on my iMac and I still can't get it to turn on.
Tried solutions: Replaced my phone battery with a fairly new battery from my mum's phone (she uses the same model) and it still won't start. Recovery mode also didn't work.
I am afraid if it had bricked itself?
I have thought about going to Samsung service centre, but I am afraid that they will wipe off my data, I really really need to retrieve all my info, at least to jump start the device. I have a lot of precious information in there. I am thinking of removing the board and putting it into a new S3 mini case, to see if it could actually start, or try to read the NAND chip? Yes I've been reading up on all sorts of solutions. I'm really feeling anxious. If anyone has any advice, please help share. Thank you so much. I'm very desperate :crying:
Hi All,
My Note 3 suddenly switched off over the weekend and wouldn't turn on. I did try battery pull, tried rebooting to recovery, tried connecting to Laptop, it wouldn't start for any of the methods, It's not even going to Bootloop or stuck in start screen.
Only response I get from the Note 3 is when I connect my charger, gray charging icon with charging symbol comes up every 5 to 6 seconds, makes vibration and disappears. Also I did extensive search in Google and XDA before posting, couldn't find any solution so far.
Couple of things I ruled out so far.
1) Not a battery issue - One of my colleagues has Note 3, swapped batteries and his phone works fine but mine wouldn't start.
2) Not a micro-USB charging issue because I have wireless charger as well, wireless charger indicates it's charging but I can't start my Note 3.Also when I swapped batteries with my colleague, my battery was almost 80% full so charging is still happening.
I am thinking it must be some hardware issue but not sure what it is, is there anyway I can identify the issue and possibly make a DIY fix? Would greatly appreciate any assistance.
Thanks
Neel

something like that happened to a friends note 1 and it was the power switch was broke and stuck on so his shut off and would want to reboot but would stay off because the switch was stuck and it kept resetting, same thing would happen with the charging it would flash for a second and restart. don't know if this is your problem or not but just a suggestion to look into

Thanks for the reply, I am also suspecting the power button as device was randomly getting restarting before this happened. I took mine to one repair shop, they checked it for some time and said they can't find out what's wrong with mobile.
Do you know if your friend's mobile got repaired with power button replacement?

What a nightmare. A friend asked if I could try to fix the a T813 which was stuck on the Samsung logo. The reason it ended up like that wasn't clear but I now believe it must have corrupted the firmware because of a battery issue. I am not sure.
Anyway I assumed a reflash would solve everything, but I encountered a number of problems and now I believed it's nearly bricked.
The battery initially charged but the tablet would not turn off. So it ended up staying stuck on the Samsung logo till it discharged. I tried to charge it again when I was going to begin flashing and it wouldn't. I thought maybe the battery had died so I replaced it.
The battery came with 50% charge and seemed fine. I tried to begin flashing and it had some issues to begin with, stuck on initialisation, then it got half way through and decided to fail. Nightmare
Now it comes up with the blue screen saying software failed blah blah blah use Smart Switch to repair and I was able to get into download mode.
However Smart Switch doesn't recognise the device.
I wanted to attempt more firmware flashes but the battery died. Now it will not charge.
It loads the screen and turns off. I have no way of knowing if its charging at all.
Does the battery need software to charge? Or do I have a charger problem? I know if the battery had charge it would only be soft bricked and I could continue to try and fix it, but until I can work out why it won't charge. It essentially bricked.
It might be important to add that the only thing I have to charge this tablet is a s9 phone cable and charger brick which is 5v 2a I think. Is that enough? Because of this the tablet turns on the screen and uses the power its gained showing me the blue screen. I am wondering if I am fighting a battle between drain and charge. Anyone got any advice on what I can do?
