Can you recommend an ad blocker or indeed a rom with built in ad blocker?
it's simless as he only uses wifi and free games, I just don't want him to be absorbing so many in-game ads.

I've installed it and had a problem where adaway cannot edit the host file(s).
If I remember correctly I may have restored the original boot and firmware prior passing the smartphone to my kid so I probably lost root and trwp.
So I reinstalled trwp and supersu however right now the smartphone is stuck on the bootloader unlocked screen.
I've broken it!
I can access twrp but cannot reboot to the operating system. What are my options now?

What is the actual need of installing a custom ROM for a MI Note Pro device outside of China for a basic user. Does the original ROM provided by Xiaomi not stable one, I believe the Google services can be installed in the original ROM itself. Does the inbuilt ROM not support English within MIUI skin.

I have been using the original rom since last August and managed to install all Google services. So far very stable and have not experienced anything wrong. It does support English.
So I don't see any reason you must use a custom rom, but because android is an open platform and the fun part is to modify things to make it more "you" so people like to have options to install custom rom.
That's my 2 cents, and yes, I am Chinese and I do have other xiaomi devices so I don't mind the Chinese apps, xiaomi accounts, etc that pre-installed on the device. If I were a nonchinese user, I would probably just move those in a folder called "not used" and forget about them.
I use the Chinese rom and yes it does support English and works really well the only thing with modified rom you will get is probably improved GPS and thats about it

Not sure where you are but I am in UK London the GPS is quite good, lock on instantly without problem.

UK too, I had GPS problems like once but the reason for that was miui update. So instead of downgrading I installed a modded rom and it fixed it

I have received my Mi Note Pro for few days.
I dont have root and I can not install TWRP on my phone due to the phone had been upgraded to 7.1.5 and 6.1.29 before I got this phone
I researched some forum that 6.1.7 can be rooted. I managed to install on 6.1.7 Chinese Dev Rom via Updater. But it does not root
Can you share me something that I can root my phone

Is there no root option in the Security app?
U need to install Flashify,dowload TWRP for Mi Note Pro and then install flashify and go to "security", give root access to flashify and then install TWRP by flashify

AFTER A LOT OF SEARCHING OVER VARIOUS FORUMS, FINALLY I FOUND A DEVELOPED TWRP RECOVERY FOR BOTH MEIZU PRO 7S P25 AND MEIZU PRO 7 PLUS X3O VARIANT.
RIGHT NOW WE CAN INSTALL THE CUSTOM RECOVERY ON PRO 7 (P25) VARIANT ONLY. BECAUSE RECENTLY WE FOUND THE GUIDE TO UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER.
BUT FOR NOW THERE IS NO VERIFIED METHOD TO INSTALL THIS RECOVERIES ON PRO 7 (X30) BECAUSE OF THE LOCKED BOOTLOADER.
STILL I AM SHARING THE LINKS , BECAUSE SOMEONE MAY FIND A WAY TO INSTALL IT SUCCESSFULLY.

Oh, I get it, I'm watching just Meizu Pro 7 forum on 4pda.
It's interesting that someone put a screenshot with working supersu on this device on 4pda forum for this phone. There are no other details provided but maybe the guy will unveil them soon It would be nice if it's working on Global variant.
We tried it, i have a friend from the contributer of that post, well the thing is it really works. You can install super su on flyme 7.0.0.0G. There will be procedure posted soon, but the problem is that if you want to install supersu on latest global stable ie 7.1.0.0 then you cant because the basic need is stock root. And in latest stable you cant root so simply now, for it you have to register over official site. Well that's too lengthy.

Do you know if this supersu could work on Flyme 6.1.3.2G? For me, battery usage is better in this old ROM than in latest 7.x.
Yes. It works on Flyme 6 flawlessly. The flashfire apk also support Flyme 6, so with super su you can use flashfire to flash latest chinese flyme stable into your device. That means you can install A firmware on Global variant.

Can you share your guide to unlock bootloader for this device, also share your install log for the recovery so we can work on mount partition bugs. In order to fully test and develop a working TWRP we need more devices to install , therefore requesting you to share your guide to unlock bootloader for pro7 p25 variant. Thanks.!!!

I've Unlocked K20 Pro Indian ROM, Miui 11
it was Mi 9T Pro Global then flashed Indian ROM.
now my Bank App doesn't work as it's unlocked device.
so, is it sure that bank app will work normally after flashing Magisk?? & am i able to get OTA updates from Xiaomi for the device normally or just like the old days, once rooted no more updates to come?
I'm using global rom MIUI 10 + rooted + flashed magisk.
All my banking apps (Malaysian) working fine
If your stock recovery is gone, you can't update OTA unless there's a TWRP flashable zip available online.

as far as I know, to flash magisk I must use twrp, so I'll lose my stock recovery.

hi all,
I'm using Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro with stock MIUI 11 global version on Android 10, and when I try to upload a replay from inside the game UI, the only app option I get in the upload menu is Mi Share, insaed of all available apps installed like Google drive, whatsapp, etc.. it happens only with this game, see attached screenshot.
I found in Google only this, but he got no solution yet.

yes I did, it didn't fix it.
I yesterday reported the issue to Wargaming who developed the game, and they today confirmed it to be a known issue which they are now investigating for fixing it.

does anyone know about any rom like pixel experience, lineage OS or evolution x for moto g9 play?
I also have the G9. I've looked around a lot but no luck
First get a hold of the g9 play stock firmware, then install twrp and wipe system and internal storage as well as vendor. Then install a GSI firmware (generic system image) of android 12-13 etc. It will give you stock android, but no custom rom experience. If your phone does not support updates then try this method. Your phone can be sent into bootloop or be bricked by this.
i already have pixel experience 12, is good but not very good. it has some aesthetically issues, for now it looks well optimized and fast.
