Hi
Please help me to find my correct note model.
I buy it from another person and now he left and didn't answer his phone.
In about phone my model is: sm-n950n
But on the back write: sm-n950f; and also you can see 2 different IMEI .
My phone has 2 SIM slot but only 1 slot is working.
How can I find my true model?!

What? JTAG? You need to open the phone to do that, nearly impossible. Why don't you just send it to Sprint?

Itsmesoul hit me up on Google hangouts and I'll troubleshoot with you and see if we can resolve your issue.

You locked the phone in the hardware settings not software, so a Rom is not going to clear your issue. Before you go tearing it apart let's troubleshoot it.

Try a ##786# using the emergency dialer if you can reach that part. Not sure where it is locked, can you send a screenshot? Thanks

Well I assumed you had a Sprint account. I read somewhere that the last 4 digits of the last Sprint number used on the device would unlock it. Since you have another SIM, that can't work. Can you somehow get the phone number of the previous owner and try it?

Just a thought.....did you try the puk code of the SIM card

Try again. A friend of mine gave me a flex to fix.. At first, it was rooted and had a custom ROM on it. Something from mii.com. anyway. The only version it would accept is d955 so I put that on it. Imei and baseband were unknown so I put d950 on it somehow. Now, the imei and baseband are showing but it still will not accept a Sim.
What can I do?
Just make sure that is unlocked for any carrier. If not you can follow instructions on G2 forum.Unlocking steps are identical for flex and g2.

Its locked for att only...
D950 is At&t so if you want to use other SIM like mobile, you phone must be unlocked. See LG g2 forum for unlocking instructions. It works. I did it.

There are few ways to unlock your phone. I know that this method is for ls980 but it works also for flex. Mine was ls995 and now shows d950 with att rom on tmobile. Good luck.

Will this fix the radio being turned off? It says... Service state: radio off
Sent from my LGLS740
Yes it will, but three things needs to be done.
1.modem firmware must match
2.successfully unlocked Rom will accept your SIM.
3.set the radio to desired type ( gsm, cdma etc.)
Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
---------- Post added at 07:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:13 AM ----------
At the end if you settings are grayed out (can't turn data on or change band type) use app like radio switcher. That will help you out.

Did everything EXACTLY as said. There was no carrier folder on the Flex, so I had to create one. It is still doing the same exact thing! I put a SIM in.. it doesn't even DETECT it and the Radio is STILL OFF.
Can anyone help? I feel like this is a simple fix but everything everyone tells me to do just doesn't work!

Carrier folder in the device so you must use root explorer and device must be rooted in order to change the carrier folder

No. Will try tonight and let you know. Is it just called operator?

It's called exactly. ro.build.target_operator=" ......" change this. ...... to OPEN. Use build prop editor from play store to change from a ATT or SPR or TMO to OPEN. Insert SIM and reboot. That's it.

Nope..did not work. Radio is still off... With Sim inserted. Doesn't even know its there. Uuuugggghhh
Sent from my LGLS740
Edit: Every time I change it, upon restart it goes back to ATT.. Also, on this Flex, with or without a Sim card it says radio off...but on my wife's flex, without a Sim it says "out of service".... Is there any way to fix this phone? Jeeeez. When I remove the Sim...the non working flex notices it has no Sim and says it needs a valid one to work??
Then you're not doing it right

Thats because the 920C isn't a USA branded device. International only.. Works great with US carriers...

I wanna root and check out the s8+ rom if there is one. I like to tinker and see which roms I like the best.

You have plenty of choices there. I run a S8 port on my 920c they all run great when you look at the roms the dev will mention different models his rom will work on if you see 920c your good to go. You just need to be on a Marshmellow base to run the nougat s8 ports..

I would say the bootloaders on them are still unlocked and if they are once you install twrp recovery make a backup most important. Im hoping that someone that has a rac 920c will chime in so we know for sure...lol
