Quickly changing "Automatic Send/Receive" value?

Does anyone know a quicker way to change the time value for the "Automatic Send/Receive" setting on an email account?
While I'm on the computer I don't need the phone to alert me of new emails, but when I leave the house I currently have to go through lots of menu options (Messaging, Menu, Tools, Options, Gmail, Next * 5, select "Every 5 minutes", Next, Finish) - and the same when setting it back to "Manual".
If anyone else has solved the same problem I'd love to hear how you did it. I just found out about MortScript too and I'll see if that could be helpful in this case.

Hide / Show phonenumber outgoing calls?

I have tried to google and searched this site but can't find anything useful.
I need to know if it's possible to Show / Hide the phonenumber on outgoing calls? I have my ISP to remove my number from phonenumbersearching and this makes my phonenumber hidden as default on outoing calls. Now I need to change the setting on the phone to Show the number... This is very easy on Nokia, SonyEricsson etc but how do I do this on a HTC Touch Diamond?

I found it! Couldn't even find this in the manual... Start -> Settings -> Phone -> Services -> Get config from Numberpresentation, and there it is!

Why Send & Receive option is grayed ??

Hi folks,
I tried solving this issue or finding an explanation for it with no use ... usually you have the option for outlook e-mail sync either "as item arrived" or manually or scheduled ... if you select manually or secheduled you should find the menu option "Send & Receive" is enabled and the outgoing messages are sent as you select "Send".
My problem is that I don't use the "As item arrived" option because it drains my battery but the menu option "Send & Receive" is always grayed in case I need to check new e-mails ... I do have to use the ActiveSync application to make a full syncronization and this is also the only way to push the outgoing message out.
Just a hint, it works properly after hard reset and fresh setup, but in case I restored from a backup I usually face this problem ... any idea ???

[Q] Numbers instead of contact name in SMS

Whenever I receive a new SMS, only the contact number is shown.
I have to dial it up to see who it is.
How do I make it so the contact name will be shown instead of just the number?

That is weird. If you have the contact saved with that contact number, it should show. Is the format your numbers are saved in the same format that is received with the text messages? Also, is this with the stock app or with a 3rd party one?

Yes, it is the stock app.
Everything is stock on this device.
the numbers have a code (041 - for distance dial) before them, but this was not changed recently whereas the problem just recently started to happend.

Did you verify that Messaging -> Settings -> Only Mobile Numbers isn't checked?

I could not find such option, bassmadrigal.

You can try clearing the data for the messaging app found in Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Messaging
This *shouldn't* wipe your text messages (they should be stored in a different area), but it probably wouldn't hurt to back them up beforehand. I use SMS Backup and Restore found on the market.

Optimus 2x not sending big sms (80 characters)

hi guys! i have a korean optimus 2x phone (codename SU660). in Korean each sms has length of 80 symbols (may be they use unicode for encoding Korean text). so when i send text messages in English, even when using 3rd party apps like Go SMS or Handcent my sms is limited at 80 symbols. if i compose a longer one, the reciever will only recieve the first 80 symbols of the message. i only can send a 160-symbol message which will cost me double the fee. Please help!!!!!

Same thread is there. USE SEARCH.

There is no particular solution on that thread, I have tried using other SMS apps. I am on OFFICIAL ICS, not custom.

What makes you think you will get a solution here? Post your questions regarding SU660 in the SU660 forum, not here.

Another Fix
install GO SMS Pro,
go to GO SMS Pro settings --> Advanced --> Send&Receive Settings --> scroll down --> select Split large messages check box --> scroll down --> Select Enable customized SMSC --> Customized SMSC number --> enter your service providers SMSC number.

i have the same problem as yours before. eventhough my phone is already rooted and made GO SMS PRO as my main messaging app, when i send more than 80 characs, my friends would tell me that my message is somehow not complete, and that causes me problem. so, what i did was to search for solution on net. and well, i already solved the problem by rooting my phone and flash a custom rom. right now am using cm10 rom for su660, and right now, i can send completely messages with 160 characs.
