We are not and never will get official Android 10, or any form that can be flashed with Odin.
I have flashed many custom roms, even AOSP based on Android 10 and Google Pay has worked on all of them for me, using Magisk hide and or with a Magisk module to fix the CTS profile false.

I have searched a lot on the web and xda but cannot find any solutions. As far as I know I have correctly installed the Xposed framework using TWRP but when rebooting I get stuck on the Samsung logo screen and have to recover to fix. I have tried various versions of the framework and always get the same issue.
Android version - 5.0.2
Installed ROM (stock or custom ROM) - Stock ROM (Would install custom if it helps but cant decide which one yet)
Names of the file you tried to flash - I tried 3 - xposed-v67-sdk21-arm.zip, xposed-v72-sdk21-arm.zip, xposed-v86-sdk21-arm.zip
Error messages - none, but gets stuck at the samsung logo on boot
I really wanted to install the custom ROM Acheron, but dont think its compatible with my device so if anyone can recommend a good custom ROM I am all ears

Not sure I'd blindly follow a mega-upload...but maybe I'm paranoid. @DJRenegade88 I know you say you searched the web, but it sounds like you're trying to use the official xPosed. There's a huge red sign stating that if you try that on Samsung you will boot loop. For Android 5'0.x you need arter's xPosed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3113463
If you update to 5.1 or 6 you'll need to get the Wanam version instead (I'd link, but don't wish to confuse you as you have 5.0.x (sdk21)

yea I was trying the official and I have seen that red text about samsung bootloops lol, dunno how I missed that the first time, thanks for the clarification. Is there a specific version I should download? I see he lists a few, I am guessing the most recent (xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon.zip) is the correct one?
The number "75" "86" etc is the version number so everything you typed is correct 21 arter arm but you want whatever is the highest, with one caveat: if there is an 86 a few modules will not work (in short they will be forbidden from running by xPosed for bad coding); I'm guessing quite a few of the 5'0'x specific modules may get caught by this. If you find a module you can't live without that doesn't work (and gives a very specific, noticeable error in the xPosed log) you might want to stick with 85
Doesn't work
It took 5 minutes to boot and now it's optimizing all my apps. I don't think it works.
I read this article, but I still don't understand completly how is anti-rollback gonna affect my phone.
Is it only MIUI thing or even with custom ROMs I won't be able to flash earlier version? Let's say I already have newest version of MIUI based on Android 9 so anti-rollback is present. Can I install, let's say LineageOS 15 which is Android 8.1? And can I switch between let's say LOS 15 and LOS 16 as much as I want? And... what if one day Android 9.1 is released and custom ROM is made, if I install it, does it mean I can't flash even the most recent version of MIUI until it would be based on 9.1 either? Cause it would detect that I had newer version and wouldn't let me flash it, right?
So the question is, I guess, does only MIUI check anti-rollback index before flashing or MIUI just activates this "feature" in my phone and then it's embeded somewhere deep and I'll never be able to go back again even with custom ROM? My thinking is... if MIUI version XY brings support for ARB it means, that earlier version, let's say XY - 1 doesn't have that support and therefore it can't check and know that it's earlier version, right? So that check has to be burnt into phone for good and it is gonna permanently affect my phone even without MIUI, possibly restrict flashing even for custom ROMs.
But I'm no expert, so I would like to know from someone who understands it.
Thanks!

Typically, there is no need to worry when flashing custom roms even when based on a stock MIUI rom. Also, this is an on-device problem, not something server side. Lastly, once custom recovery is in place, even if the phone were to fail to boot because of anti-rollback, I wouldn't see it being an issue since a custom recovery is in place and it should be easily recoverable.
Firstly, I apologize if this is posted in the wrong place and topic has been covered before, but I really need your help!
I got the A6 brand spanking new 4 days ago, and have managed to flash TWRP (TWRP-3.2.3-TwrpBuilder-a6ltexx-2018-11-26_20-43.tar) successfully and get RMM-State_Bypass_Mesa_v2.zip, Magisk-v18.0.zip & no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip (in that exact order) and I thought was all good.... BUT here lies the problem, after I have flashed the above files, I need to update Magisk to the latest version to be able to use the Magisk Hide & Superuser functions.. Whenever I have updated Magisk, either by direct install or download only then install in TWRP, it makes the phone reboot at random intervals..
it can be hours between reboots or it can be minutes, it goes blank and restarts from the android boot animation, where I have to enter my pins to be able to use it again.. WHY is Magisk causing this random reboot and how can I fix it??
Ive re-flashed the A600FNXXU3ARL1_A600FNOBE3ARL1_EVR (Android 8.0.0) a good few times now, but this random reboot bug Isn't present since I flashed it back to stock..
Also, a separate question; WHY are certain android apps refusing to run due to phone being rooted?? I thought once you re flash official stock firmware the phone appears "warranty intact"?
I used to be up-to-date with android rooting & modifying back in the day, but I have been out of the loop for a long time.
Thanks for your patience reading this and thanks in advance for any help/answers/time taken by me.
Arty.
Magisk on Oreo doesn't work well if you don't have the one with anti defex version as the kernel keeps avoiding you to use superuser commands as part of security feature even after rooting.
About the stock apps refusing to work after flashing the stock rom, you already tripped knox while flashing twrp which once gone you won't be able to turn back. But flashing a custom kernel would fix such problems most of the time.

Thank you for your reply!
How do I get said anti defex version? Ive tried googling it but only found unrelated results, could you please point me in the right direction in how to proceed please? thanks
Arty.
I can't point you a direct link with a magisk version you need to flash to get rid of defex. If you're lucky you may get a custom kernel built including it. Try one of the oxygen/phoenix kernels through this A6 thread.
The kernels will also help you byass all knox security related stuff which in turn will help most stock apps get back to working state expect for samsung pay and secure folder.
Hi. i need urgent help regarding downgrading my galaxy note 8 from pie to oreo or nougat. i am using android pie from last 1 month. some of my apps stop working so i decided to downgrade from pie to oreo. i had downloaded oreo firmware december 2018 version from sammobile and tried to flash with odin 3.13.1 but it failed. i had tried different versions of odin but every time flashing stuck at set partition nand write start.i always run odin as administrator. i also tried to flash different firmware version like sept version of oreo but still it failed. i downloaded nougat firmware from sammobile. it flashed normally and i was happy but when my phone restarted i was shocked. my device was factory reseted but with android pie version. it looked flashing nougat only formatted my device. i am tired. i tried every damn thing. i tried changing usb port, tried differant usb cable, reinstalled device drivers, made sure that usb debugging is on , even tried on differant pc. but no result. then i tried emergency software recovery in smart switch. if i connect my phone switched on then smart switch discover my device but when i connect my device in download mode then smart switch says that device not supported. i contacted service centre but they say they do not downgrade the device.please please please someone help me. i am attaching a screenshot of odin stuck at nand write start.

Unfortunately you can't downgrade. Once you have flashed a higher bootloader version you are stuck with it.
If you are on bootloader v5 you may be able to downgrade to the last Oreo build, I am not 100% sure on that though.
Only if they are same bootloader

You need to be rooted to be able to get that working again, some roms also have that patched already...
Although the thread is about the s7 I believe it is exactly the same for our note 8.

I dont want to root again.... rooting will not let banking apps work.moreover if i wanted to root. Root files for note 8 pie are not available right now. I installed patched app but it does not have heart rate monitor and spo2 which renders heart rate sensor useless.... thats why i am so desperate for that app

You can flash TWRP, copy /system/build.prop to the PC or SD Card, edit it on the PC, put it back in /system.
Once you are done, just flash stock revovery via TWRP.
It sounds hard, but it's eazy if you know what you are doing. Banking apps will still work, and with build.prop edited s health will work too.
I am not gonna walk you trough the entire process but this is a summary.

Oooh that, it's nothin.
You just need to hold volume up + bixby and power just before the phone auto restarts from download mode. When you do that it will boot twrp.
If you don't understand it go watch MaxLee on youtube, his method of flashing twrp on s8/n8

The way I know it, there is no way without twrp or root, and you said you don't want root because of banking apps.
If you flash twrp, do the thing with build.prop, and then flash stock recovery, you could still recive OTA updates and banking apps will work.
You just have to set up s health before the next OTA because that will revert built.prop back to normal.
But as long as you set up s health before that it will be ok.

That was downloading s health 4.8 version install it and open it. It will stuck at loading screen. Update it and it will work fine. Earlier i get it working that way when my device has oreo version. But now after pie update when i try to install any s health apk before version 5 that is 4.5, 4.7 or 4.8. I always get a message app not installed. After version 5 app get installed but again with root problem. Can u help me with installing old version. I dont know why s health old version is not getting installed. I had some other apps that are now discontinued. That apps get installed easily

The reason you can't install the modded version is because the version that was modded is less than pre-installed version on the device. As of now, you can't downgrade apps, only upgrade. Your only option is to wait for someone to patch a later version from the version you got installed on your phone.
I think someone can even just change a number in AndroidManifest.xml install it and then just upgrade.
I'm sure a patched version will pop-up again somewhere on xda, just make sure it's later version than the version pre-installed into the system.

Hmmm.... lets wait for some godman to do the favour..... i am from medical profession so dont know much abt this coding stuff. Otherwise i would have done that myself
Ok so i managed to follow the guide for the whole process to get the pixel experience rom on my phone, i did the full thing> Unlock bootloader, Orange Fox, DFE, Magisk and flash the rom etc.
The questions i have now that ive had it running for a few days, there was no default sounds set, is that normal?
How come it says pixel 2 in certain situations, is it based on a pixel 2 version of android 10 or just some kind of placeholder?
And do i need to flash manually to update or is it OTA? do i just flash the rom through orange fox? ie whats a basic procedure when a new rom is released, i was pretty confused with the guide on the correct process for simply updating a rom if your staying on a particular custom rom.
thanks.
Default sounds are usually never set, you can set them tho in the sound settings
As far as I know the ROM shows your original device model to every apps, except Google (I'm on Evolution X and it shows Pixel 4 for Google)
I think Pixel Experience has OTA, however to my knowledge, it won't work if ur decrypted and orangefox is not compatible with OTAs (not sure tho, but I know twrp is).
If OTA is not working, you can download the latest version from the site and dirty flash (no wipes, just flash the ROM on top of the already installed PE)
Magisk will be lost tho when you update
Hope I helped, hit the thanks if I did
Thanks, thought it was strange no default sounds were set, the last custom rom i used was on the Nexus 6 so its been awhile.
Good to know i just need to flash an updated rom over the top of it glad to clear that up, thanks for your help its appreciated.
