N950f baseband - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

After update to android 9 I lost my baseband
And tried another firmware using Odin but nothing changed

try flashing different rom from different regions.
everytime you flash different rom, flash TWRP and perform full wipe.
it will fix the baseband issue.

i try reflashing lot of times and still nothing. I dont know what i can do like another step :/

[Q] How to flash Galaxy mini with stock firmware?

I need help with flashing stock firmware. Well, I flashed my device with some turkish firmware who had 4 files and I did that via Odin. When I realised that I have turkish firmware I downloaded stock version which consists only 1 file and tried to flash my device trough Odin (followed procedure for flashing with one file) and it wont work. All I get is endless reboot loop on my device. What should I do? Please help!

Try again with wipe data/chace and wipe dalvik cache(from advance from in CWM)
Reflesh your stock firmware.
I high recommend you to rewrite stock 2.3.4 XXXXKPI(European)or specific for you region.
Anyway more details in this thread from Sammobile
KPI version have 4 files but was by far best version for me that i've used.
Also be carefull to load corect packs for boot/csc/modem/phone:

If you are european shall not care if it is Turkish or Russian, just change leanguage.
I want to reflash my phone because KIES wont upgrade stock firmware after I flashed with Odin. It says that "this device cannot upgrade over KIES". It's common problem and I heard that people were solving that with reverting original stock firmware for their country. I dont know exactly am I right but I wanna try. Thanx!
Its very buddy, you can search it on this forum. You can find it here.

[Q] problem with odin???

hi guys i own this device since february 2012 i think but i never had problems installing various roms and using odin.
yesterday i wanted to install xwktu stock firmware using odin but when it finishes i get a bootloop :/ the strangle thing is that xwktu firmware is the only not working!!! all othr stock firmwares are working well.already tried using mobile odin and redownloading the firmware... any help?
After flashing try wiping data from recovery
already tried still bootloop

Unable to flash modem

I lost my base-band version after flashing it in odin and i have not been able to get it back. I have been trying several methods in the past week including flashing the stock firmware (numerous times) with odin and even using the emergency recovery software in odin (numerous times). Both of these methods have not worked, they don't even get passed the Samsung boot logo and i have no idea what to do. If someone can please help me it would be greatly appreciated.
If you want to get back to stock you can try restoring with Samsung Kies. I did it several times during testing of various ROMs. It even worked after I deleted my system in TWRP.

The version of Odin shouldn't matter nor the version of the firmware, so long as it is a stock version for the T810. What ROM was installed previously and had you flashed TWRP? The ONLY thing that keeps stock ROMs from flashing is a failure to do a full wipe prior to the flash. Also, you MUST flash a STOCK MM ROM prior to attempting any of the other ROMs in this forum.
Thank you
Used the Samsung program which downloads the latest firmware and that did the trick
Thank you!!

Trying to flash stock firmware, bootloop, /system/bin/tune2fs is missing

Hello,
Im trying to recover my galaxy s10 for T-Mobile. I flash the correct firmware via Odin, its flashes successfully with no issues, and every time, it gets all the way to the T-Mobile boot screen, freezes, and then starts again at the Samsung screen. When I boot into recovery, I can see at the bottom:
E:[libfs_mgr]Unable to disable quotas on /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/userdata because /system/bin/tune2fs is missing
I have tried factory resetting from recovery, but it continues to bootloop. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance
You used the patched version of Odin right? Reflash the firmware. Use one or 2 version firmwares down from the current if the current firmware doesn't work.

I downloaded the newest Odin from SamMobile. Will I be to flash an older firmware, if my bootloader is on the newest?
This error message is normal /system/bin/tune2fs is missing
A full odin Flash should cure it, you may even have to look into the re partition option where you specify the pit file. (extracted from the CSC file).
I've flashed with patched Odin, still same. I'm fairly new to Samsung flashing, how would I go about extracting that file?
