App to SD Card link2SD :) - Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Questions & Answers

Hi everyone, is possible to put some app in sd card i tried to format sd card in 2 partition one in fat32 and one in ex2 but nothing... link2sd not recognized the 2 partition...
Some solution?
Thanks a lot

Been looking myself. I have a feeling that the answer is "not easily".
Which link2sd are you trying? The one I used to use is quite old and I'm guessing that's why it won't work. There may be a Magisk module that can do it.

Working solution to your problem is basically this post.

[Q] Link2Sd Right partition combination and slow sd card

Hi guys
I'm looking forward to use Link2sd so I installed minitoll partition wizard and tried to create 2 partitions:
1 Primary 7 Gb FAT32
1 Primary 0.6 Gb Ext2
i could never complete the task and partition wizard kept saying the sd card was unformatted. I found on anther thread that for some phones Ext2 partition did not work and that a second Fat32 could solve the issue.
I went down that road and the sd formatting went fine creating 2 Fat32 partition.
The BIG problem is that the sd card (Kingston 8 Gb class4) is extremely slow, getting all my backuo data back into it took like 30 hours.
Is this normal ?
What is the proper partition combination for the X8 on order to use Link2sd ??
Such slow writing speed to the sdcard seems a pretty high price to pay...is it worth ???

I used the same software to create partition in my Sandisc 8GB class2 SD card. It took around 10 mins to create and format the card with 7.5GB FAT32 and 0.5GB Ext2. Both are primary.
I suggest you to check the Card and software by interchanging them. That is try with same software on a new computer with this card and again on your machine try a new or another card.
Another way that you can make the partition in CWM recovery.
Positively there is something wrong, the time you mentioned is too unusual.
Hi
Thanks a lot, when you are so close to the trees you can't see the forest.jaja
After several combinations I realized that the sd card port on the laptop was defective. I used an usb adapter and partioned with minitools, just as you said and worked...finally.
Cheers

[Q] Apps to SD?

I'm running the Cyanogenmod 10.2 build on my international GT-I9295 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47615123). I cannot get apps to install to my SD card (a 64GB Samsung UHC-1 class 10 card) . I tried partitioning my SD card using gparted, creating a primary FAT partition and a primary ext2 partition. However I do not see an option to move my apps to sd; I also tried link2sd, and a few other apps, but none of them seems to be able to move my apps to SD. Has anyone succeeded at moving apps to their SD card?
Anyone?

I use a app called root folder mount.I store all my big game data files on 64gb card then mount the folders. You can mount anything to make the phone see the stuff on ext sd card. You can look it up here on xda and get from market. It works great if you understand how to use it.I would buy pro version to be able to do more with it and supprt the developer of it.If you dont want to buy google it and youll find it

[Q] SD EXT problems

My phone is aging. Nowdays it keeps losing the sd card and since I'm using INT2EXT, the moment this happens, I have to wipe data. Even after getting the SD card back, it just doesn't boot after this happens.
The question is: Is there a reliable sd ext script that is compatible with every ROM and survives SD card loss? S2E is not compatible with many ROMs, Link2SD moves the apps, but when installing a new one, it still says out of space.
And I'm using EXT4 on a UH1 16 gig card.
And I've been using this script for over a year without a problem. The reason I'm sure that it's caused by the loss of the card is that when the phone is booted and I remove the card, it goes into bootloop just like when this random loss happens. And I'm using Badass 1.9, so no logcat.
You can use cron mod.

Cronmod INT2EXT. That's what I'm using now.
Best choice is Link2sd plus because it links internal data too so you solve the space error problembut unfortunately you have to pay for it.

If there is no other way... Or maybe I will just keep a backup and try to hold up until I get a new phone. It should happen around x-mas which is not exactly now. I think I will end up with link2sd plus. Thanks for suggesting.
Here is another script for galaxy mini and I don't think that it's INT2EXT and did you partition your SD card with CWM partitioning?

Use a Sd adapter and see if your sd card has multiple partitions that could be one of the cause

it has only one partition FAT32. the problem only found in nougat rom like the new cusrom DOTOs. when i change back to MM like lineage 13 it works well
I think your sd card has multiple partitions too. Let's use Minitool partition wizard to delete a partition
