I haven't used my phone for a couple of weeks and then i go to turn it on and it doesn't turn on. It shows absolutely no signs of life. No download mode, no recovery mode, doesn't get recognized by my computer. I replaced my battery and still nothing. I just want to know if there is any way to unbrick my Samsung galaxy s3 I9305. Phone is rooted and was at stock before it got hard bricked. Didn't flash anything before it got hard bricked.
If your device was last doing something before the battery died. High chance there is corruption at the firmware level. I have had the S3 die like this 3 times before, and that was when it was under warranty. You are probably out of luck.

Hi,
I've had a galaxy s3 mini for 2 years now and it has been fine up until about 15 days ago. On the day my contract ran out I was using my device when the phone just turned off. Now it will not turn on. I have attempted charging, booting into recovery and i have replaced the battery with a new genuine samsung battery however none of these have worked. I would appreciate if someone could help me to get the device working.
Thanks
I have same problem too..i think motherboard is dead dude
Hi!
I have a problem with my S3 Mini. I was running cyanogenmod 12.1 for one week and I clicked on google drive app. Suddenly the screen lag and I took the battery out and then pulled it back on. But the phone wont turn up even the download mode. I put the charger on but no result. When I connect it to the pc it shows up a U8500 USB ROM for 3 seconds and then disconnect and connect continously.
Is it hard bricked?
Hello, I had similar situation last week: installed CM11, used for about a day - no problems, installed Google Apps, after restart it won't boot anymore even into download. Maybe Google services did something with hardware?
Maybe the cpu can't handle the rom proccesses and gets dead. I thought it was hard bricked but the phone can turn hard bricked during the installation of the rom. My ROM was installed successfully so I think the cpu might be dead after one week working on 5.1.1

Eventually the eMMC chip may be weared but only big change in partitions content triggers it's dead.
I had done some repartitioning in cwm and battery suddenly died, so now my phone is hard bricked, cant acces download mode or cwm, screen is off all the time and windows doesnt recognize it. But when I put it on my charger its getting hot. So i guess my phone motherboard is ok but cant figure it out how to get around it? Any solution would be very welcomed.
I have two n7000 devices, so i know my battery is working propertly and its full charged now but still nothing.
Anyway thank you very much
No way
Hello,
if you can't boot into the download-mode your phone is hard-bricken and you can't do anything.
I recently put it into UPSM and my launcher crashed at that moment. so my screen went completely black.
I went to do a factory reset and my phone has gotten stuck on the samsung logo. its fairly charged but wont go past that point.
Now the only time it turns on is when i plug it into a power source. for some reason i cannot boot the phone independently nor plugged in. the screen only displays the logo after i plug the charger in. I have no idea what happend to this phone. It is not water damaged or has never been dropped.

well, try to flash your phone firmware manually using odin. if it does not work than it could be faulty battery. i had a similar issue on note 4 due to fault battery. my phone used to boot only when i plugged it with charger. get exchange if that is case.
edit :- i just read that few other users are also reporting battery issues.
It might be corrupted, try to reflash it back using the original ROM
Hello,
My Galaxy S6 just went black and got hard bricked. No response whatsoever from the power button, no charging indicator, no soft/hard reset combinations...
Is there anyway i can force it to start through software? i did this in the past with other phones that werent detected by the computer , but i can't find anything for samsung.
Thanks in advance.
You might need a new battery or maybe just cleaning the usb port will get it charging again. I one had a charger that charged one phone but failed to charge my other one, so I thought it was a problem with the phone hardware. If it do to rooting and flashing, try serching the S6 forums.
