microphone access to apps simultaneously - Google Pixel 4a 5G Questions & Answers

Hey guys. I have been using pixel 4a 5g. I wanted to stream my game (pubg) to fb and YT. I am using "omlete arcade" app for that. But there is a minor issue. When i switch on the mic in the game, my voice cannot be heard on the stream. Only when i off my in game mic, my voice is heard in the stream. So i think the problem is both "omlete arcade" and "pubg" are not able to access my microphone simultaneously. But i read on the internet, since android 10, two apps can access microphone simultaneously. Anybody has any idea abt this issue?

I am experiencing exactly the same issue when i stream. I still can't find a solution. Have you found one?

Distorted audio in some apps?

Has anyone else had a problem with audio quality in certain apps? When using Heytell and Skype there are distinct "cracking" and "popping coming from the speaker and from headphones. The sound is fine when doing other things like youtube and mp3s. I've heard some people have this issue with netflix as well. I assume it must be a software issue and not hardware. I want to know if I should return my device or not for a new one.
I guess I'm alone with this issue?
I get this on the hacked version of Skype which permits video calling, so I don't feel it's fair to complain b/c the hack may be part of the problem.
I've tried both the hacked and market version with the same results.
I have this same problem with netflix, market skype, and the hacked version of skype. I've seen this problem on the phandroid forums as well. No one has a fix, just multiple reports of the audio crackling and popping. Youtube, mp3, and other media files stored on my phone play just fine.

I definitely noticed the hacked version of skype with the crackling "clipping" sound of audio, even though the original incoming audio doesn't get very loud. I haven't tried original skype but others are saying it does the same thing it sounds like.

[Q] Csipsimple (and bluetooth?) on the moto X

Anybody try using Csipsimple with a bluetooth headset on the Moto X Kitkat Stock rom?
I tried it, and it started causing my handset speakers to crackle and emit some sort of digital noise. Csipsimple force closed.
When I tried it without the bluetooth headset connected, it force closed.
Even after I closed the app the phone would crackle randomly. So I rebooted it.
It was strange - I've had no problems using CsipSimple with my Galaxy. I've never seen these types of problems before.

I have ATT's XT1058 and use Csipsimple with bluetooth occasionally. I have motorola's H17 headset and I didn't experience any issues. As you may know the Csipsimple bluetooth auto switch is in experimental phase and I haven't tried it yet. When i call I switch the call to bluetuoth manually. My advice is try with different headset and check your Csipsimple settings. find out which codecs are supported from your voip provider. According to my experience Csipsimple works well with aLaw and uLaw and maybe with G.729 (which must be bought separatelly).
Other cedecs are more or less useless and i don't use themat all. I also don't use different codecs for WIFI and mobile because it is pointless (you can't find special more adapted codecs for mobile). Therefore I have only aLaw and uLaw enabled and aLaw set as primary in Europe, the ulaw in America.
I don't use STUN (there is no need to use it and it cause additional lag) or any other functionallity which I don't understand precisely and I'm not sure what is its purpose.
Check your settings and replace the bluetooth, maybe install Csipsimple once again. I hope that you'll solve your problem.
Thanks, it's good to know other users aren't experiencing the same problems. I'll take a closer look at the settings. I did transfer my settings over from my Samsung using the built in json file backup so I wonder if that flow isn't working so well

snapchat audio issues?

Hello! Just seeing if you guys can test this out for me and report back your findings.
Have snapchat open
Have music playing on your phone via any source but connected to your car via the 3.5mm jack. (I'm using google play music specifically)
Record a full video and then unplug your aux cable to see if your video has sound or not.
I do a lot of driving through pretty scenic areas and have a handful of people who enjoy watching my videos because of the places I drive. However I've noticed that when I'm playing music via the aux jack my videos have no sound. This is the first Android device I've had does this and what worries me is that it's a hardware issue and not a software issue. The reason I suspect that is because the only other devices I know that can't do this are ios devices before the iPhone 7. If you guys would be willing to test this out I'd appreciate it. I've reinstalled snapchat and checked the permissions and can't seem to find the underlying issue. Also searching for the issue with the note 8 or the s8/+ yields no results. Thanks.

Check if the 3,5 plug you are using has two or 3 rings or bands, if so, means that the cable is also passing the mic to your stereo, thats the reason you have no audio captured by the mic

No sound on 3rd party app in Android Auto

Hi,
I have VW Passat with AA (MIB3 based system). Android Auto works in general, but there is a problem with applications like ReplaIO, Spotify and sometimes even TuneIn.
Those start to stream audio "into nowhere". The sound volume control does not work then either from the panel or from the steering wheel. What I do to enable sound?
I need to run ANY Google based app, like Youtube or Youtube Music/Google Play Music, then stop it and switch to another app. Then it plays correctly, with sound.
Anyone got same behaviour in the car? What is the reason? Any workaround? This is not happening when same phone plays via Bluetooth, there is always the sound.
Only via AA connection, there is a problem. Later, after my manual workaround as above, switching the sources (FM/DAB/BT/AA) works correctly.
But if I disconnect the USB cable and connect it again... no sound from AA
Please help.
As far as I know, this is an ongoing bug. To reenable audio when the bug occurs you can simply dial to some phone number (best and easiest is if you call a number with an automatic answering machine), wait for the answer and then disconnect the call. Immediately you will get the sound back. In my car, when it happens, there is no sound at all, in any app, the only way is dialing.

Similar problem: support.google.com/androidauto/thread/66269926?hl=en - add http
Well, for sure the problem exists, but it seems we need to live with that. No fix until now from Google. I wonder if this is related to Android 10, have anyone tried that with earlier versions?
In my case (just tested), the phone call does not fix that. The only way for me is to play some song from Youtube Music, pause that and switch to Spotify, for example. Then it plays normally.
I suspect this bug is related to sound focus/sound routing/mixer.
This bug is related to AA only and it is happening in Android 9 also, maybe not everyday, but from time to time. I have a Note 10+ with Android 9 and a Peugeot 3008. In my case, the trigger is, almost always, the lack of internet connection in my underground parking. If the phone is connected to my car's display through AA, and if I try to play internet music (spotify or other internet radio app) before I get out from the parking and before my phone gets connected to the internet, then the music app gets stucked and the sound from any app disappears. Only making a phone call and waiting for somebody to respond or restarting the phone does help.

Juste checked this app on play store and there is many complains about the latest update. So I think you should complain to the app developers.
It is perfectly working in ROG 2 and complaints is regarding complex features they introduced. Iam using ROG2 also latest smule update is working very fine
