Hi guys,
I really need some help please.
I have the US model R845U LTE and I'd like to change the CSC to ITV (Italy) to get the latest updates as mine is stuck to R845USQU1BTK2.
I am following the procedure of Technoproz but I need to be sure that I use the right files.
I downloaded the combination firmware COMBINATION-FT55_R845USQU1ATL2.tar. This is the right one, right?
I have a doubt on which stock firmware to use. Should I use the R845USQU1BTK2_Tizen_3File_CSC (OYN)?
Or should I use the firmware R845FXXU1CTJ5_Tizen_4File_CSC (OXA) which is the Italian one?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Are you sure there's an update for your watch on CSC ITV? This page gives the firmware history for model R845U on XAR, but on ITV it gives an error.

First of all, thanks for helping.
That's exactly my doubt.
On CSC ITV they are at the R845FXXU1CTJ5 so, to answer your question, yes there is an update but it's for the R845F, not for the R845U.
So, do you think that I can flash the firmware for the 845F after changing the CSC to ITV?
Thanks

I would be very reluctant in flashing firmware for another model on your watch. There's a good chance you'll brick it.

Yep it makes sense what you say but...my concern is...if I flash back the BTK2 after having changed the CSC to ITV...what do I gain?
Will I get the updates of the ITV region or not?
Cheers
Does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade from tizen 5.5.2 to 5.5.1 ?
I want to change my watch 3 CSC but i couldn't find any firmware in 5.5.2 which my watch currently on it so i want to downgrade to 5.5.1 then flash combination...
Is it possible?

I'd expect that since that webpage with firmware history I mentioned gives an error for R845U on ITV, you won't get any update after changing the CSC to ITV. So you won't gain anything if I'm correct.

And I managed to brick it.
I tried to flash the combination firmware downloaded from easy firmware and it failed.
Now the watch doesn't reboot and I don't know what to do.
Hopefully Adfree will be able to help me.
If you have any suggestion please feel free to let me know.
Thanks
I have to officially give a big thank you to Adfree for his help.
We managed to fix my watch and now I have a full ITV version...moving from the original R845U to R845F.
Everything is working now BP, ECG and Samsung Pay.
Thank you Adfree!
I'm glad it worked out in the end. What would you recommend to other users wanting to swtchifrom R845U to T845F?

Apologies for reverting late!
So, this is what I did to change my R845U into an R845F:
1. Installed the combination firmware with netOdin
COMBINATION-FT55_R845USQU1ATL2_clean_v1.zip
drive.google.com
2. with the pull/push commands via SDB I changed the
a. PRODUCT CODE from SM-R845UZKAXAR into SM-R845FZSAITV
b. CSC from XAR into ITV
3. Installed the stock firmware CTJ5
R845FXXU1CTJ5_Tizen_4File_CSC (OXA).zip
drive.google.com
and voila'....the GW3 became fully Italian.
Then the watch will update itself via OTA to the firmware DUA4.
At this stage the BP and ECG widgets are present on the watch and the last step is to install on the phone the SHM app (version 183) which can be found on the other thread (by Dante63).
And all is working.
Couple of things:
- I am leaving those links active for a week or so. I bought both above firmware from Easyfirmware but I'm glad to share them with the community.
- I am not responsible for any bricked watch As usual, do these things at your own risk
- A huge thanks to Adfree for his help!
Cheers
@[email protected] Is there a Mac version of NetOdin I can use for this?

Hi!
I have a couple of questions:
1) My software is currently R845USQU1ATFE. Would I be able to use your file COMBINATION-FT55_R845USQU1ATL2_clean_v1.zip?
2) In your step 2a using sdb, how did you manage to change from R845U to R845F? Basically Is there a way to check whether my software has CSC code TGY? I assume if R845U...ATFE already has TGY, then all I have to do is sdb pull/push for TGY. Is that correct?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Oh wow, at first I thought it was easier than this! Anyway thank you so much for the help, I would really like to try this and finally change my watch to use it in all its features. But I can’t hide that I’m a bit anxious to do something wrong and then ruin my watch forever. Maybe there’s a YouTube video that guides you in the process?
Anyway I’ll let you know if I’ll succeed in this, thank you again!

Used to be a bit easier when I did the region change for the S3 gear. Gotten a bit more complex.
First line in my post above, I've linked the youtube video from TechnoProz.
Watch (no pun intended) the video.
Do it only if you are comfortable.

Ok I’ll go watch it! And I went checking on the Samsung website for the firmware, and if I open that page it shows me two different firmwares, the first and most recent is:
Build number : R845FXXU1DUA4
Tizen Version : Tizen 5.5.0.2
Published on : 2021-02-22
And the second is:
Build Number : R845FXXU1CTJ5
Tizen Version : Tizen 5.5.0.1
Published on : 2020-11-24
So my question is, as the firmware I need is the second one, so not the most recent, if I change my watch to that firmware then will I be able to update my watch with the future updates? Or it will remain stuck in that specific firmware?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but as you can see I’m not really into these things!

Stick with the 2nd update that was successfully done by @[email protected]. Once completed, you should be able to do an OTA (over the air) update to DUA4 directly. Technically, you can but rather follow what was done successfully.
Not a stupid question.
The watch is relatively new and not many info for the R845U version in particular. Takes time to really put things together. Big thanks to @Kebez & @adfree to start it off,

Hi,
I'm from Slovakia, I have S5 mini model SM-G800F, G800FXXU1AOG2.
Is there any way to uprage my phone officialy without breaking KNOX, warranty void, or anything else?
There are no new updates when I try to update throught OTA or KIES.
Thanks!
What's your phone's CSC code? Get it and look on this page for a 5.1.1 ROM that matches it:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G800F/
It would be good if someone else could confirm it, but from what I've read if you flash a stock ROM it won't trip Knox warranty code.
AP: G800FXXU1AOG2
CP: G800FXXU1AOG2
CSC: G800FOXX1AOG1
There is not any 5.1.1 ROM for my CSC :/
Any other way?
Are you sure your CSC is OXX? I didn't find any ROM with that code, either lollipop or KitKat. Try using Phone Info from Play Store. It will show correct CSC and if there is a new ROM.
Yes, my CSC is: G800FOXX1AOG1
Here are some photos from Phone Info:
Code:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4LdWx07QQ0xbl92bVFuZlJva3c&usp=sharing
On sammobile there are only 4.4.2 ROMs.
Actually your phone's CSC code is ORX (see second image you've uploaded), and there is no Lollipop for any of the available codes either. I don't recommend flashing any other ROM besides the one for your model, the safest way would be CM13, but it will trip Knox warranty, but then probably it would if you flashed other stock ROMs as well. Maybe someone else with a G800F can help you better, mine is G800H.
And if I flash CM and trip Knox, will I be able to complain the hardware part (for example problems with camera, charging port...)?
if you flash official firmware (even with different CSC) via odin, warranty/knox should be still OK -> http://androidforum.cz/prehrani-softwaru-a-zaruka-t72763.html
guide in czech language you'll understand: http://androidforum.cz/topic71393.html
there are some rumors about marshmallow for SM-G800F
i have s5 mini with csc TMS (t-mobile slovakia) still kitkat 4.4.2 and now i'm getting some ota:
The software update (869.77 MB) but per sammobile there is still no lollipop for TMS, or maybe just their web page is not up to date ?!
any way to find out what is this update about without installing it?
SamFirm for TMS still shows:
Model: SM-G800F
Version: G800FXXU1ANL1/G800FTMS1AOC1/G800FXXU1AOC2/G800FXXU1ANL1
OS: KitKat(Android 4.4.2)
Filename: SM-G800F_1_20150325171600_m20wixnutf.zip.enc4

Hi mikronum! I have the very same device as yours:
AP: G800FXXU1AOG2
CP: G880FXXU1AOG2
CSC: G800FOXX1AOG1
And if i use the app "phone info samsung" i get the same information that are in your screenshots (CSC is ORX).
Can i ask you wich file did you download to upgrade to lollipop? It would be of great help for me.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for taking the time to answer me .
I will download the file you have posted and think about doing such update.
Could you please confirm me just a couple of things?
1) after this procedure, how is the KNOX counter? Is it still ok? always 0x0?
2) the CSS code in the downoaded firmware is DBT (germany). What languages are available? Is the italian language available?
Thanks in advance.
After flashing KNOX is still 0x0, I use KNOX without any problems.
Italian language is available.
Is Slovak language also available in DBT firmware? Thanks.
Yes, you can select from all languages you have now on stock firmware.
I just checked from the system settings and .... the phone is downloading some kind of OTA .... i don't know yet if it is lillopop. I will tell you when it finishes ... it is a 886,66 MB update. Maybe Slovakian S5 mini are getting lollipop official update ....
I checked my 800F too and it downloaded an update with the same file size. So I checked available firmware for my region with an application called Phone INFO (star) Samsung (star) and it showed that there is an Lollipop update available on OTG and Kies. SAMSUNG FINALLY MADE IT!
P.S. I don't know why, but when I go to the page where I can upgrade, in description I don't see something like "Upgrade package to Android Lollipop", because my friend's device had it when he updated his samsung phone.

I also don't read anything referring to lollipop when i read the description of the OTA update from the phone. This is the reason why i was holding back. I tought it was another kitkat firmware ....
By the way, did you already downloaded and installed this update on your phone? Can you personally confirm it is lollipop?

Yes, I'm talking about the same application as in the link. How to check available firmware:
When you open the program, there are three little lines on upper corner, so press those and then there should appear some more settings. There has to be a button called "Firmware Browser". Tap on it. Then write your model in first(longer) text box and CSC on second(CSC is region code(like DBT - Germany, XEO - Poland, so there should be written three capital letters, if not - write by yourself(you can find CSC in this program, there's a section called " CSC Codes"). Then, press the button "Find" and there should appear a list with available firmware.

Yes, I can. I downloaded and installed the update. It took me about 15 minutes. Not the S6 level upgrade(a little worse than S6). Here's the photo for proof.
I followed a guide by XDA User applepay from this link, but just wanted to try and simplify it because i found it pretty complicated to understand at first.
It would be worth reading that thread before this even if it doesn't make sense. Please also read this complete thread before you attempt it.
I have only followed the guide so i can't answer any questions to help. I am not responsible for any problems you run into. This is just a guide of what I did to get mine to work.
I was successful using my SM-N960F going from CSC XME to TEL.
I cannot confirm that this method will work on other models, but i don't see why not considering the guide was originally for a S9.
Make sure you select your exact model when downloading files and flashing files. Using other model firmware may brick your phone.
Backup your files! I used Smart Switch on windows. This method will wipe your phone in the process.
Use the original usb cable you got in the box and install the Samsung USB drivers if you haven't already.
I have confirmed on my device that OTA updates work fine after this procedure.
Please comment if you think there is a better way or there is an error in this guide.
Download your combination file from here
Download your new CSC firmware from here
Download Samsung Odin 3.13.1 from here
Download RealTerm from here
1. Open Odin.
Click AP and select your combination file.
Put your Note 9 into download mode by turning it off completely, then holding the volume down and bixby buttons while inserting the usb cable. Confirm that you want to enter download mode.
Click start in Odin.
Once this is complete, your phone should boot into the combination firmware and show your model number. Close Odin.
2. Open RealTerm and go to Port tab.
Set Baud to 230400 and Select Port to ssudmdm0000 or very similar name.
Click the change button.
Go to Send tab.
Enter "AT" and click Send ASCII.
If you get a response like
"+USB READY
BOOTING COMPLETED
AT"
or
"AT"
or
"OK"
or
"BOOTING COMPLETED
AT"
Proceed to the next number.
If you didn't get a response click +CR and send again.
If you get a response like "ERROR" proceed to the next number.
Still if you didn't get a response check your phone status and cable status.
If everything is normal proceed to the next number.
If still you didn't get a response it means your phone or cable is not normal status.

6. CSC change is now complete. You can now close RealTerm.
7. Open Odin again.
Turn your phone off and then put it into download mode again by holding the volume down and Bixby buttons, then plugging the usb cable in.
Fill each field (BL, AP, CP and CSC) with their respective files from the firmware which has the new CSC.
Use the CSC file in the CSC field, not HOME_CSC.
Click start. This will now wipe your phone completely.
8. Your phone should boot into android and everything should be complete!
Enjoy using VoLTE, VoWiFi and RCS!
Many thanks! Will give it a go.

Yeah this is for unrooted devices
Hmm, will this allow my unrooted n960f/ds to flash the TMB CSC and work? Or does this just let you change to another CSC within the multi CSC?

Odin still won't let you flash firmware files from an other phone model. which is a good thing since csc.md5 contains a pit file that is very much phone model specific....you dont want that. home_csc.md5 dosent but regardless Odin should still throw an error. I wouldint be game to test with the prince Comey edition of Odin that allows you to do this forcefully apply wrong model firmware file. might work... or not
how about future OTAs after ? if I flashed TMO csc will I get all TMO OTAs in future ?
@laneyyy i need to select combinations file Odion in AP right ? I guess I have to downgrade my firmware first Odin don't let me flash I have the last one firmware

My phone was up to date before I used the latest combination file for my model on that site. I didn't get any errors about downgrading.
As far as OTAs, I'm not sure yet, but worst case is you just need to flash new firmwares by Odin. I think it's definitely worth the trade off to get volte, vowifi and RCS if that's the case

[Updated][ETH1]
If you only want the firmware and know what you're doing, then links will be at bottom.
If possible, Use the original charging cable that came with your phone, as sometimes there can be errors if you use an aftermarket cable.
If you don't know how to flash or convert from U to U1, read on.
As a precaution, I recommend removing your SIM card and SD card before flashing!
THIS WILL RESET YOUR PHONE!
Firstly, Download the modified Odin below as well as the firmware.
Step 1. Ensure that you have the Samsung drivers for mobile devices installed (which will also be linked below.)
Step 2.Extract the Firmware Zip that you downloaded, Open the modified Odin and click on the BL box, Then select the corresponding BL file.
Click the AP box and select the AP file, Do the same with the CP and CSC files by putting the matching file name into the corresponding boxes.
Step 3.Ensure USB Debugging is enabled and then shut down the phone. Then hold (In this order) Volume Down, Bixby, and Power button until you get to the Download mode warning screen.
Press the Volume Up button.
Step 4. Plug in the phone, and check Odin to ensure you see a blue box that says COM (also has a number at the end)
Step 5.Press Start in Odin and wait till you see pass, if it says PASS, The flash was successful and within about 10 minutes your phone will boot into the welcome screen.
If you are converting from the U firmware to the U1 firmware then you will have no carrier bloatware should have better performance and possibly better battery life as well.

Do I need to roll back to ARL1 then flash CSD1 or I can do that directly?
Thanks
Thanks it worked for me
Flashed without problem but still got the lag when change the wallpaper :crying: If its infinity wallpaper there is no lag, but if I change the laggs/stutter starts.....What I supposed to do? Anyone? Also there is a lag on animations....
I flashed too many times and different firmwares and no luck...

Do you have lags/stutters on this firmware? (Especially on lock screen with none infinity wallpaper

Call recording is only available on certain international firmware. It's a CSC feature that isn't available on the U.S. firmware. If you have root you can add the call recording feature to your CSC and that will be the only way to get call recording unless you find the specific international firmware that has it enabled but that firmware may not be best suited for your carrier/region. Also, enabling call recording will replace the call waiting & "add call" button which will make 3-way calls and ability to answer call waiting a problem. For this reason I always chose to not enable call recording. However, with root you can change csc anytime you need call recording and revert when you no longer need it. If I remember correctly, you also have to do a factory reset when adding the call recording in CSC because the csc/settings database is created on first boot only and adding this line in CSC after the phone has already booted and created it's CSC database will not enable call recording. It must be done on a fresh boot after a wipe/restore. I wanted to give you a heads up based on my experience so you know what to expect. Root is going to be mandatory unless you find the international firmware (rare) that has call recording enabled from Samsung.
Hi,
Here is my note 9 info (8.1.) from AT&T carrier, but I am not living in US.
- Model: SM-N960U
- Firmware: PDA version: N960USQU1ARH2 / CSC version: N960UOYN1ARH2
- Actice CSC code: XAA
- Service Provider:
SAOMC_SM-N960U_OYN_XAA_OO_0007
XAA/XAA/ATT
So can I use the firmware N960U1UES1CSD1 which is uploaded in this thread to flash my phone into 960U1 ?
Or should I use the firmware N960U1UES1CSD1 which is specified for XAA ?

As far as i know u can flash any firmware related to N960U, N960U1 and even N960W.
for specific carriers after flash u will have their bloatwares .
Will a N960U converted this way take OTA updates in the same way that a phone that started out as a N960U1 would?
Is there a way I can make this work on a Linux based OS?

+1 using cho firmware
guys just use samfirm tool 0.3.6 on your PC to check for the update. no need to ask or post if its out or not:
enter as device model:
SM-960N
And Region: dosent really matter but u can choose the carrier that the device is from:
LUC
KOO input this one if unsure
SKC
KTC
or choose the one with the latest fimrware/date code
(but rightnow only May is available)
check regularly as the app seems to connect to samsung servers so it will be the first place for the firmware to pop up.( and download speeds are fast. way faster than sammobile free or other crapy sites.)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...g-firmware-t2988647/post57842725#post57842725
to dl the tool on the post link above , skip the part where it says depreciated and dl it from attached OP post. read up though on the windows ( MS redist) dependencies to run it.
downloaded firmware is flashable once extracted using odin 3.13.3 from here:
https://dl2018.sammobile.com/Odin3-v3.13.3.zip
this required to see phone com port with odin
samsung usb drivers:
https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/M...ver-for-Mobile-Phones-1-5-65-0.shtml#download
put phone into download mode:
(make sure your device is off before doing anything.) hold the following button combo: VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY and plug usb cable from PC to phone then release button when you see DL mode and press vol up to accept to enter it.
in odin:
to not reset/wipe data fill in all slots with unziped md5's from file downloaded with samfirm: BL, AP, CP AND CSC (use ONLY these 4 corresponding files*)
(* For csc: home_csc.md5 is to not loose data and regular *csc.md5 will wipe clean.) (userdat.md5 is korean bloat, skip it not needed if you are not on korean sim carrier)
if you are on a custom rom(rooted device) and just want to update bootlaoder and modem to latest, then flash only ;
BL.md5 and CP.md5 in the according slots.
flashing official firmware and components like this dosent trip knox or voids warranty so its all safe.
edited for links to the tools needed and some clarifications.

try to install the KOO firmware. i believe it is the "unbranded" firmware for korean n960n devices.
be careful of personal data if you try. using the method described above to flash with odin.( the part when using csc.md5 file because i might wipe data from phone. but it might also remove bootlogo and more bloatware apps from korea)

Btw i got firmware KOO but unziped file i get 6 fil, AP, BL, CP, CSC, HOME CSC, and USER Data how i must input User Data File to?
I'm in Korea too, using an unbranded KOO N960N (exynos). It seems like the update is unavailable in this region. I left a question on the Samsung Members forum, and it seems like they're saying the night sight camera mode had some pretty large bugs, so they have to fix that. Also, the night sight camera update was just released for the S9 series, so hopefully it shouldn't be long before we can get it for the Note 9.
[edit]
Also, checking the latest firmware for N960N in SAMFIRM results in the same firmware, an outdated May 2019 version withOUT night sight camera. Looks like we will have to await the official release ...
This sucks because my Mate 20 Pro takes absolutely stunning pics at night.

moreover you might need to install samsung android drivers. you can search for them on xda or you can install samsung smart switch. it has the drivers built in. the software is useless it is only being installed for the driver package.

u have to flash a minimum of BL AP CP CSC
there will always be some carrier bloat leftover. the only way is to root and install a custom rom to get rid of everything.
I recently purchased a galaxy watch 5 pro from China, however my Samsung S20 ultra was bought in Canada therefore the two refuse to connect. I have the watch set up and currently connected to a Chinese phone at the moment. I saw that changing my watch's CSC would allow me to connect my watch and phone, however, by using *#272*719434266344# to change my watch's CSC doesn't work for me, so I don't know what to do. Any help is appreciated!
AP: R920ZCU1AWB1
CSC: R920CHC1AWB1

I have the same problem. Need to change CSC in order to be able to use Samsung pay in Brasil in a watch 5 pro manufactured in Vietnam. The dialing procedure described in the original post does not work for me either. Any help, please?
I'm assuming it is the same as the previous watches. Flash a Combination firmware, enable debug mode, connect it to WiFi, then connect to the watch via it's IP and run some SDB commands on a computer on the network to change the CSC code in two files, then flash a regular firmware.
I was playing with a Watch5 demo last night and I couldn't get the Combination firmware to flash.
This is the guide on how to do it for an SM-R825. Do NOT flash the firmware in this post as it is for a different watch, it's merely an example. I have a Watch5 Pro Live Demo Unit coming next week, I'll write up a guide.

You're a saviour. I'm in Spain and a friend send me a Watch 5 from US. Little did I know that it would be useless without flashing the right CSC. I can't find apps on the Play Store like Instagram and Facebook. For some reason WhatsApp can't connect to the phone and I had to install a SHM MOD.
