Hey guys,
I am hoping you could help me with this one. I have this note 8 I've been using for games. Today, for no apparent reason that I know of, I have a black screen. The screen won't turn on and there is no LED light. I tried doing Power + Volume down, but nothing happened. Plugging in to try to charge it shows no LED light. It is like it is completely and totally dead.
Any idea what else I could try? This is not a phone I would be willing to pay to get it fixed. So, anything that could potentially help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been on here for a while. I have a HTC one that has stopped working. It is flashing the home and back buttons when I try to power it up and the LED light isn't working when I plug it in.
I Have managed to mess around enough with it trying the bright light trick and all combinations of power + volume down/up buttons to try and get it to spring into life. Iv e tried these connected to a charger and connected to the laptop as well.
When I press the volume down button and hold it the LED came on and started to flash, then it became constant red. I've left it charging overnight and its now a constant green so fully charged or so it thinks. Ive since tried the combination of buttons again but when I do the led goes off.
Ive scoured the internet last night for anyone with my similar situation and found a lot of posts but none that match my situation exactly.
When I turn it on normally nothing happens apart from the on sound and the under device manager it says "HTC MTP Device".
I m going to make a quick vid and put it on youtube and add the link in here just in case anyone has been in this situation before and found a remedy.
Before anyone asks I don't know what rom was on it, or if it was unlocked bootloader. I bought it second hand and just started using it. It went off mid day with plenty of battery and it wasn't hot.
Any help would be most appreciated as im running out of ideas fast!. plus my fingers are sore...lol.
Thanks for reading
Steve
Evening all. I'm new to these forums so please bear with me regarding technical terms and such, but this is a pretty urgent problem and any/all help would be greatly appreciated.
I went for a jog about an hour ago leaving my phone in the house and upon my return I tried to power on the screen and the only response I got was a vibration and a continuous Green LED showing.
Its a while on now and my phones screen is black and won't respond to the power button, and every 12 seconds it produces a vibration along with the greeen LED which only goes away a second or two before the next buzz. What do I do?

have you tried shining a bright light, like another led / flash on the back of another phone, into your phones light sensor whilst holding down the power button, this is a common problem with these phones, the light sense is the 2 dots on the left at the top of the phone.

I tried that and we get to the screen when you first turn it on and then it goes back to before

try holding down power and volume down button at the same time to enter the bootloader. If that works then select factory reset using volume buttons and power buttons.

Nothing doing.
Hi guys,
I hope you're all well.
I recently opened up my i9305 to remove a buggy power button whilst at it I was looking at the vibration motor. I reassembled it, placed it on charge. And it didn't respond instantly as usual, after a few minutes the red led light turns on but nothing else? What's weird is that when I press the home button the red led light will disappear for a few moments and then reappear. There's no way I can turn it on because I've got no power button, no splash screen comes up whilst charging.
Does anybody know what's going on? I'd appreciate any help
Hey Everyone, so i got a note 5 from someone to fix or to trash so i decided to try and fix it.
The person i got it from stated she was charging the phone one night (blue charging light on) and took it off the charger but the screen would not turn on.
She hard reset the phone by pressing the power button and tried to turn it back on, after that no screen but only a blue light at the top of the phone stayed on.
She again turned it off and took it in for repairs. They could not find out what was wrong with the phone, didnt seem dead, battery was fine no damage at all to this device (zero not even a scratch on the screen)
So now, i got the device and when plugged into the computer, i dont get any sort of lights on the phone, nothing on the screen, the phone will briefly show in the device manager then it will be gone, i can hold down the power button and it shows Exynos7420 in the device manager, i let go of the power and it goes away.
Phone is 100% dead.
IS the device hard bricked?
Hard ware issue?
Just looking for ideas to bring a basically perfect condition phone back to life for some use.
Thanks guys
