[SOLVED] How can I overcome this Wi-Fi bug - Redmi Note 9 Questions & Answers

2 days ago I turn on my Wi-Fi and the Wi-Fi couldn't connect to the signal. I tried with different connection but it didn't connect either. But after rebooting once iT connected successfully to the nearest signal.if I try to turn off and on the Wi-Fi again the problem occurs. What should I do I tried to reset the network settings but it didn't work.

Disable MAC Randomization in Developer Settings, then try to connect. If it's still the same, try booting into safe mode.
If not, maybe there's a problem regarding your DHCP client, a system bug maybe. Updating should resolve this.

No, i was using my phone normally.

Certainly, your device is having problems to deal with DHCP client.
You may try to erase nvdata partition.
You may backup it first too, if you want to restore it after.

No, USB connectivity setting reboot the phone on custom rom but not with stock ftf.
The logcat message is wrong as the error reported is not true.
Something is interfering, maybe the root or recovery.

Reboot your router. Bootloader should have no effect on WiFi.

As @Evolution_Tech told you, bootloader unlock has absolutely no effect on WiFi. Whatever you do to solve this problem, DO NOT RELOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER!
And the fact that your WiFi works on stock ROM, but not custom ROM, tells us something (I'm just not sure what).
Well, I'm not saying that the relocked cause the issue, I'm just saying what I have done before it started happening in fact just saw another thread that is having the same problem...last night I l rooted again the and again no WiFi, so I got back to stock and guess what no WiFi , so something is wrong
BTW my phone rebooted itself and now I have WiFi again...this is really weird
Out of interest, what do you mean by "no wifi"? That's not a helpful description of the problem.
ok WiFi option wont turn on, it hangs and never get activated
its a problem of error in files consisting in "persist" folder that are responsible for wifi
reflash stock rom

Well, your experiments point to the ROM. I'd suggest restore your backup of stock, get WiFi working again. Then try a different ROM.

If it works on stock, rooted... That's what you need to confirm.
Ensure you full wipe when flashing a custom rom. Try another rom and don't let google download or restore any setting during set up of the new rom.

Imei Problem

Hey guys, I need some help here... I've flashed my R1HD and selected the format all + download option , obviously I bricked my phone,:silly: finally I could bring it back to live (with the preloader of the 6.6 version and the files of the 6.4 version) but in the process the IMEIS were erased and I haven't been able to restore them. I've tried 8 different methods and still they're null so if anyone knows a method that actually works in this especific model (tasted) or send me a twrp back up of your system to check I'm not missing some file... I would be Thankfull. :fingers-crossed:

You have already made pretty big mistake, imo. You used preloader from 6.6. So now you will no longer be able to use sp flashtool. But your choice. Here is what I have for imei

Oh so you didn't use preloader from 6.6 maybe the 6.6 safe rom preloader then. Either way that's good that it works with spft.
I tested with it and did two walk through with people who did format all. They both said now there eimi problem was solved. I was able to make my imei show as different numbers but my db file wasn't formated like there's. That's why I included the device db file.
Also as side note the 7.4. update changes database files again but not the imei. to add band 12

I deleted a folder oem

Friends,
Using TWRP I deleted the folder "oem" "firmware" "bt_firmware" from my moto x4, now I have no signal, the flashlight does not work and it seems that I am without IMEI. Can you get back to normal? Or enable partition B?

And how would I do it? Any commands? Because I can not switch to slot B. Error.
I got to the root (/) and ran the command "rm -rf" with the thought that it would renew with the reinstallation of Stock Rom, but it didn't.

There probably is an easier way, but I know with TWRP 3.2.1-1, you are able to change slots (in the GUI). With later versions of TWRP I don't think slot changing worked.
I made a slot change using the fastboot command and then twrp 3.2.1-1, but couldn't. I believe the problem is at the root of the cell, which considers this mass.
I looked here and the IMEI is 0, so I have no signal. I have to fix IMEI, the rest is working normally.

I have the box with IMEI, but I don't know how to put IMEI in the phone. I tried some YouTube tutorials, but to no avail.

I could have sworn the IMEI was chip level and could not be removed. This might sound like a strange question, but have you tried just doing a factory flash? It might just re-write the number from the chip to the appropriate destination.
