I finally got my nano simcard for the Redmi9T (I hope I am in the correct forum?)
It is now activated. I added the contacts I want to add and I can be reached by my new number but.... I cannot open the dial pad to make a call... ???
When I tap the icon on the home page, the "Set Phone as default" page appears. I touch the "Set as default" button... but absolutely no raction happens. All I can do is go back to the home page, and repeat that cycle.
When I long press the phone icon on the homepage, I get two possilities: App Info, and, New contact, both work... but no dial pad anywhere
What am I doing wrong, as I wrote, I already can be called, so the sim works..
Thanks

When you disable the watermark/logo in settings, do you still have a white foggy area above the phone? See photo. I am not sure if this is the just to use as a contrasting background for the black font watermark or if my camera is faulty. However surely if you remove the watermark in settings then the white fog should be removed too as it is not needed anymore?
So do I have a problem or is it normal with all the cameras?

Yes, mine does too. Seems to be Huaweis way of hiding the camera / phone from the shot
Is there any way of doing long exposure shot with this camera?
Huawei specs says that camera has up to 30sec exposure
Hello, everywhere is written that huawei cv60 360 camera is shooting 2k video, but in app written 1920x960 resolution, and this is not 2 k resolution, any thoughts ?

Not that I know of, the software would need to support it and it doesn't appear to at the moment.
Where is 2 k resolution?

In summary 1920x960 = 1843200 = 2K :cyclops: just marketing, nothing personal
This white overlay thing on the bottom of the 360 camera (white beneath huawei logo when on) is kind of annoying. Is there anyway this could be remove view editing the APK file.
Has anyone figured what's the function of the blacked out rectangle next to the back cameras, and below the LED flash ? Is it a sensor of some kind, or is it just an athestic addition for looks ? there is no mention of it anywhere.
Xiaomi doesn't usually put fake sensors for looks like other really cheap brands, so I'm guessing it serves a specific function.
Here's a picture to show which part I mean:

It seems to be a laser focus module and anti-flicker sensor.

Where did you get that information ? Any sources I can quote ?
In the teardown videos I saw on youtube there seems to be nothing there, which is weird.

That teardown is for the Mi 10 Pro, not the Redmi Note 10 Pro

oups 5 a.m. here!!
It is a back light sensor. Xiaomi mention about 360 light sensor. You can check this by tapping kernel version and entering into test mode
What is that RED DOT between FLASH and RECTANGLE
Seems to be for decoration purposes.
A new leak showed that, the upcoming Oppo flagship device- Oppo Find X5 Pro will be the greatest device that Oppo ever made.
But the catch is, What's make this special?
Well, Find X5 Pro will have 6.78" Quad HD+ display. Which is stucked at 120hz. However it will be LTPO AMOLED pannel that automatically decide which refresh rate that you want on which content.
Neverless the camera specs will be very special. Because of it's 80megapixel main sensor. An also it'll have 20megapixel ultrawide and 16megapixel Telephoto lense. And for selfie it'll feature a 32megapixel camera and it's sensor is Imx 616!
Moreover, we all know it's a flagship device and it'll feature greatest of time flagship chipset.
Many of you will asked, why "4" series is cancelled, well Chinese brands and culture believes "4" is an unlucky number. That's why all Chinese brand skip this.

Hi it is interesting info you got there. If I may know, which source do you get this from? Thank you in advance.
Very questionable rumors...

Hi everyone,
As of now while I'm writing this, I'm on a Mi 9T Pro running on a custom ROM (Havos OS). The ROM is absolutely awesome and I've been using it for 2 years now.
But with my recent purchase of Mi True Wireless Earbuds 2, it seems there is an incompatibility which compromises the full features of my earbuds.
I cannot see how much battery is left for my case, left, and the right bud. It's just a single battery bar showing how much battery there is. I tried assistant Mi apps but it does not detect my earbuds as well, which I believe has something to do with the auto detection of Xiaomi ROMS of Xiaomi earbuds.
Can you guys suggest a good ROM aside from MIUI that has the same feature? You know, when you turn on the earbuds there's a popup on your phone with an animated icon of the earbuds asking you to pair with it and shows the charge of the case and buds. My current ROM doesn't have that. Thanks a bunch!

This is the only part I see, it's very restricting, I cannot even use the earbuds to its full capability.
I was hoping there is a custom ROM out there with this feature while at the same time with good performance and battery life.

Why don't you use the app that comes with the earbuds?
Hi, I'm using poco m3 Pro 5g. However, I can't use or find the nfc option anywhere. All I can see related to nfc is when I go to settings->apps->show all apps and search for nfc. It shows an nfc service that is disabled. How can I enable it?
Swipe down at the right side of your phone and see the NFC option to enable or disable it.
It's not there. I have checked

Could be missing, seems to be market dependent for your device:

Try checking with NFC Check.

Then I'm afraid you have your answer... You can ultimately check with either the place you bought the device from (and possibly refund/exchange if you need NFC) or get in touch with Poco including the device's serial number. Let us know how it goes
That's quite unfortunate. I'll try to ask the poco team for a possible solution. Thanks for your help
