Question Not certified miui rom - Redmi Note 10 Pro

I flash miui ID via fastboot and play store say 'not certified'. Can you help me? I tried:
Flash other miui stock rom (RU, MI, TW)
Wipe Play Store and Google Service data's
Manually certificate my device in google services (via GSF id)
Flashing via edl
Ask in google community (****'s answers)
Waiting about 3-5 days
Logging via other google account
Guy with redmi note 9 pro have same problem. Always flashing via "clear_all and lock". Latest mi flash app, windows 11 64-bit. Tried flashing via Linux - same. Please help me

If you have the original stock ROM for your device and your bootloader is locked you don't need to worry, it'll certify itself after a few days. It's mostly visual anyways since you're getting Google's Services.
You can also use the Safety net app to verify if it's certified or not.

Are you using a stock ROM and you have a locked bootloader? If you're rooted then that explains why it's not certified

Yes, stock rom (ID). Without root, bootloader is locked.

By ID you mean Indonesia? Is that the ROM it came with your device or was it Global?

Yeah, Indonesia. I bought with global rom, but reflash it. I haven't this problem about 3-4 month ago...

I have the same. Bootloader locked, no root. The firmware is global.
What I tried to do:
1. Manual certification through the Google website and sat waiting for a week, periodically cleaning the data of Google services and the market.
2. Flash all possible (including earlier) versions of miui with a bootloader block
3. Clean Google acc: the entire history of Google devices, as well as delete all backup copies of data, gpay payments, and in general everything that is possible.
4. Create a new Google account and log in through it
5. Clean all system partitions of the phone, flashing everything from scratch (including persist with dtbo
6. Flash via edl mode

Don't flash earlier versions of MIUI, you can brick your device because anti rollback.
As I said, it'll certify itself on its own.
Each time you boot your device for the first time a new ID is generated for Google's Services, that ID takes some time to get certified and the process is automatic.
Same thing happened to me when I flashed custom ROMs and it'd fix it self days later

OP3T Locked Bootloader Stock Rom Safety Net still fails

Hey there!
I wanted to use my banking app, so I decided to get full to stock. Before I used OxygenOS Beta 20 with Magisk.
Currently:
Stock Recovery
OxygenOS Beta 20 or OxygenOS 5 (Same Problem)
Locked Bootloader
Now with a clean OS Safety Net still fails and the Google Play Store says "not certified".
Do you have any tips to get it working again?

As far as I know, Yes. I know it doesnt make much sense.
I'd suggest that you unlock bootloader and then reflash, do a full wipe to be sure
Then lock again if that's the way you want to go

Try using unbrick guide if that is feasible for you. That way the error is reproducible if you still get it after the "unbrick" guide since all your partitions will be the same as ours.
Unlocked bootloader and Magisk by themselves shouldn't trip Safety Net, as long as you have Magisk Hide working. Now, that doesn't mean your specific banking app isn't doing other checks besides Safety Net (I think folks have seen this happen with some apps). But you mention Safety Net failing specifically, so I thought that worth mentioning.
Did you use the full update zip to get back to "full stock"? That would be the recommended approach, to make sure all partitions were returned to stock.

Exactly that was the problem in the first place, why I started to lock my bootloader again. And yes I always had the full OS as a zip.

CN Rom update 2.30 advice?

So I am currently on CN 2.27 ROM from NA Global, I am wondering how and if I can update to version 2.30 because Boot Unlocked TWRP Magisk GAPPS Debloated. Does TWRP currently work on the update? I assume upon updating I will lose everything back to stock, but I want to be able to get phone back to current state...because well CN Rom is much better but this device is so finicky if you know what I'm saying.

First you have to download 2.27 zip file
Extract it
Flash stock boot and recovery image
And then update to 2.30
After that flash your TWRP and magisk
Just backup ur data with TWRP in case u face any problem
So what exactly do we lose and gain with the CN rom over the EU rom??
Assume CN rom can be set to full English so no Chinese language remains?
Yeah I relocked boot uninstalled Majisk and modules, updated 2.30....then reflashed and installed. Its super smooth and all the game launcher features are great. Totally enjoying this far more than global. Oh and holy crap all the camera features too.

Yes everything works, it's best to update cleanly then unlock bootloader, twrp flash, and root. Also if you flash gapps Pico in twrp CTS Profile SafetyNet will not pass....don't fret install Magisk Module Safety Patch by hackintosh5 in Magisk phone will reboot and system will Patch optimize on reboot and it will pass. Allowing full access to playstore and downloads.

Listen I have NA Global device, the easiest fail proof way to install CN Rom is in stock recovery, wipe data & cache use otg and FAT32 format pen drive to install...you will have no problems. If you decide to go back to Global do the same thing but with Global Rom on pen drive.

K20 Pro Indian Variant Clarifications

1. Do we lose L1 certification after flashing custom roms? Do we recover status back with persist image?
2. Are we able to use all the Indian banking apps? Since GPay is a pain in ass to make it work with root/custom ROMs
Getting back to android modding community after approximately 3 years, though have been following threads.
Any inputs on the above would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

For some custom ROMs you need to wipe Persist to get some sensors to work and you loose then L1.
When going back to MIUI you can restore Persist and L1
I wanted to switch from MIUI Global 12.0.1 Stable to the Indian version V12.0.2.0 to have the default call recorder,
through the file raphaelin_in_global_images_V12.0.2.0.QFKINXM_20200710… tgz
after expanding it, using XiaoMiFlash latest version.
But after pressing the Flash key the message “error: Missmatching image and device” appears.
What can I do to install the Indian version?
Thank you for your help.

I bought a k20 pro (raphealin) like a month ago I think, got it with miui 11, updated to miui 12 12.0.2.0, got bored looked up the EU version, unlocked bootloader, installed orange fox r11 (or whichever version is the latest that just came out I don't remember), took a backup of persist along with everything (cuz I read somewhere that I could lose L1 and having a backup of persist might help so I took backup), flashed the EU rom 12.0.3.0, flashed magisk (didn't plan on flashing it, but then when I was flashing the rom, I thought might as well no downside, voiding the warranty anyway), have been using it for 2 weeks I guess now, its been working great, renamed the magisk manager to something else, used magisk hide on other apps. I didn't loose L1 and can see FHD in Netflix and best in PrimeVideos, High in Disney+, banking apps work fine (iMobile, PayTM, Gpay (Indian version / used to be called tez I think before), BOB apps also (although they aren't working but I think that's BOB's fault as I am not getting OTP, checked on other phones too, not receiving there too, but they are opening no rooted error or anything), Digilocker too (this won't work with just magisk hide, you will need to rename magisk manager and after a reboot it works, I would you rename it anyway cuz there is no downside, cuz otherwise if you wanna use this then you will need to later so), ETMoney, Groww PhonePe, MyCAMS, PAYPAL these all work fine, I don't know any other apps I don't use them). Even though I didn't lose L1 after flashing I have kept the backup in case in future I need it.

Question (Solved) Does it make any difference if I install the Xiaomi.EU ROM via fastboot now or wait for TWRP?

Hello!
I'm going to install the Xiaomi.EU ROM soon, due to the possibility of losing access to Google services (see the other thread in this forum regarding Google services for more info).
Now, I originally wanted to wait for TWRP, but now, I want to do it ASAP instead. Does it make any functional difference whether I install it with fastboot commands or via TWRP?
Oh, and I've once read something about someone losing some per-phone unique key or something due to flashing a custom ROM, causing some functionality to be degraded. Are there any such issues with the Mi 11?
Thanks!

I know very little about the history of the Xiaomi.EU ROM. Is it just a group of Mi enthusiasts that support it? Can one say that this ROM is much better than the Global ROMs that eventually get released by Xiaomi?
Also, since your device has to be unlocked to flash it, do you still get OTA updates like security patches? Sorry for all the newb questions.

Ok thanks for the info. I'm slowly educating myself because I thought I would be happy with the CN ROM but the writing might be on the wall for supporting Google services. I already had small issues with Google services not being fully supported (still don't see Nearby Share on what is supposed to be Android 11) but they weren't dealbreakers.
Now Xiaomi.EU is starting to look more attractive.
So if I move to Xiaomi.EU, I would have to apply any OTA security patches myself with fastboot?

Xiaomi.EU is definitely the way to go for Chinese ROM users

Would I still have MIUI as a skin or does the Xiaomi.EU ROM come with a different UI?
Also, I've read it takes a week to unlock the bootloader. If I unlock it but choose to eventually not use Xiaomi.EU can I revert back to the CN ROM or a Global ROM? I guess what I'm asking is does unlocking the bootloader change my phone permanently in some way?

It's the same skin just with all the Chinese crap removed and Google integrated into the system with a few extra features.
If you unlock the bootloader you can install any ROM you want so chinese, EU, global, GSI, and custom ROMs etc when they arrive.
Just be careful that if you decide to relock the bootloader you must be back on the ROM that came with the phone so a Chinese ROM otherwise you'll brick the phone.

You can try with Mi flash (dont relock bootloader)
MIUI EU 12.5.4 not EEA but CN version
Set a lock screen lock, then go to twrp and use it to unlock and decrypt the storage

There is no downsize. You are only replacing stock recovery with a different version. It has no affect on your phone, it's and your own data. It just makes it easier to flash custom or even returning to stock if required as well as other tools offered in the TWRP package.

Installing twrp doesn't install root. It just replaces the system recovery. If you really want root, use Magisk but I've not found any reason to root my phone for ages.
