Hi Community,
I have not been able to use attachments for about 2 months.
Files can no longer be attached to mails or browser uploads or (some) apps who get access to the storage.
Files can be sent in Messenger.
Have any of you also had this problem?
What could be the reason for this?
If there is a storage access right problem, why some apps can, but other apps can not?
Version: MIUI 12.5.7
MIUI Optimization: enabled
- Apps uninstalled
- deleted Cache
- deleted Data
Greetings

Dear All,
Xposed and GravityBox module are working fine, but unfortunatly, I see one stange behavior:
When rebooting, all icons I've created from the Apps list towards the main menu pages are not saved and disapears after every reboot. I need then to again make the application links from the Apps list to the main phone menus... until next reboot.
This is not the case with default (ROM) applications (like emails, SMS, etc) which remains after the reboot.
Only the new links/icons I created are gone after reboot.
How could I fix this?
I do have a phone with Android 4.2.2, Kernel 3.4.5 ([email protected] #1 Tue Jan 13 16.55:43 CSST 2015 / Build number ALPS.JB3.MP.V1
I'm using Xposed 2.6.1 (libraries used StickyListHeaders & libsuperuser) and last stable version of GravityBox[JB] 3.5.6
Thanks in advance,
Jean-Frederic
Anyone ?
Anyone, any idea?
Thanks,
Jean-Frederic
[SOLVED]
Ok, I found the issue on the web.
Seems to be a geeric Android issue.
The only ways seems to be to solve this is to move applications from SD Card to internal memory OR install another Launcher like NOVA Launcher or GO Launcher from Google Play Store.
Root cause seems that the default launcher is too fast compare to SD Card. Therefore the SD Card is not mounted when the launcher is biulding the Home screen... then do not fnid the icons on the card (not yet mounted)
Hope this help,
Jean-Frederic
I have installed Mokee OS 5.1.1 official on my Xperia SP. The only problem is with the gallery app, the photos keep on disappearing.
I opened the "media storage" --> Clear Data ---> Reboot phone but the samething. The photos are showing on the first instance, but when you are trying to see the single photo you only get black patch. And if you go back to the gallery you will find nothing there.
I have tried to clear the gallery cache from Apps, but due to non availability of media scanners, I failed. I tried with scanner apps from store but to no avail.
Now my questions are
1. What to do??
2. If I remove the app completely ( no reason to keep an unused app ), will it affect my OTA updates ???
1. Use any other gallery app. If the issue persists try media refresh app. If still not, then its an media server problem and related to ROM and only developer can fix it.
2. If u remove the app it wont affect OTA updates.
P.S. Plz try to use a ROM whose thread exist in this forum. A very few users are using such ROMs and it will be difficuilt to get answers to such questions.
I have a brand new Mi A2, which I updated to Android 9, I unlocked the bootloader, and installed Magisk.
I let Google take all my Apps and settings from backup (from an old phone; RedMi 3).
All looks fine but loads of problems with (I guess) storage!?
I cannot download anything, I cannot make a new folder, I cannot use the camera (!) because it says it needs an SD (which A2 doesnt support!), I cannot install a lot of Apps (some do, some dont, with error 190), I cannot open/download pics in WhatsApp, WhatsApp cannot recover the chat backups etc. etc. etc.
Seems almost nothing can write to my device!?
Tried all the Play Store stuff (clear data of Play Store, Play Services, Framework etc., and removed my account and re-added).
Also tried putting all security settings on allow to use storage etc.
I did all settings etc so please dont tell me to do a factory reset
Is it because of settings it copied from my old device!? So I cant?!
UPDATE 1: Tried everything I guess, and I went crazy. Now did a factory reset and did NOT restore all apps from cloud (backup from old phone) but only the settings. Fixed. Strange and annoying (to manually install all apps now etc)!
Hi,
I flashed LineageOS Beta 5 from openKirin (also OmniROM Beta 3 and OmniROM Pie Alpha 3 seem to act similar) to my P10 from China (128 GB): now when I take a photo via the onboard apps or the Google Camera that I installed, it gets saved in the DCIM folder (not using any SD card) - but it can't be deleted. No matter if I use Image apps provided or installed afterwards - or stuff like Total Commander. Now when I use ADB to connect to the device and delete it this way...it works.
What did I do wrong or what has to be set, so that apps on the phone are also able to delete images (and not only save them)?
Thanks in advance!
I have the latest version form whatsapp. Everything is working except I am not being able to download media files when recieved. Any thoughts. ? checked the storage permission and it allowed.
Just figured it out. It was related to WhatsApp itself. The new version fixed it
