I installed AstroidOS 1.0 on my watch years ago and now, I want to upgrade it to new version but can't find drivers!
Adb can not find the device.
Where can I find it?

[Q] ICS Rom installed...ADB does not recognize phone

Since installing the Simply AOKP ICS ROM, I am assuming I need new drivers, but not sure. I found a newer ADB, and downloaded "usb_driver_r03-windows", and also USB drivers from Samsung. Neither are recognized as correct drivers for the phone.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm not sure which driver the first one you spoke of might be. You need to use the google driver (aka Nexus S Driver) to make adb work.

Thanks. I found it and have downloaded it, but not having success.
Of course, I think the old Samsung driver is installed. So, I plugged in the phone, went to Device Manager, and selected the Android phone to delete it.
When I plugged in the phone, it searched for drivers, and did not find them.
Any suggestions on how I proceed to get this driver installed? I did install it via
SDK Manager as instructed online.
[EDIT]
I just read through the Google docs again, and do see them saying it is in "<sdk>\extras\google\usb_driver\ directory". Searching now.
[EDIT2]
Thanks. That got me going.

[Q] Need help with updating my M7

Hey guys,
About a year ago, I decided that I wanted to try Cyanogenmod on my HTC one M7 (international).
Thus I unlocked my bootloader, rooted, and installed Cyanogenmod. It was a very new old version (10.2 or something), but I still liked it more than Sense.
Fast forward to last week, when someone gave me a Chromecast, which did not work with my phone because of a lack of Google services.
Since then I have been trying to figure out how to update my phone in order to install a newer rom on it, because it cannot install Cyanogenmod 11.x.
I think it has to do with my very old firmware (1.44.0000).
The first problem that I run in to is that abd does not detect the M7.
I first tried on a Windows 8.1 PC, but like others that did not work. On a Windows 7 PC it does get detected, with Android 1.0 drivers, but it still does not show up in adb (using the command "adb devices").
There are a lot of threads about phones not being detected, but I cannot find one where a phone does get detected in Windows with Android 1.0 drivers, but not in adb.
My second problem is with what it is exactly that I need to do in order to install a much newer Rom.
This is what I think I need to do, is it correct?
Step 1, install an old rom that works with the old firmware (I can do this without adb, using a USB OTG tranfer cable)
Step 2, get S-Off using Revone
Step 3, Install the newest Hboot using adb (to do this my phone needs to be detected)
Step 4, Install the new rom
Thanks for your help,

everything you need is already explained in the FAQ sticky thread.

[Q] Can anyone point me to the right adb drivers?

I know this is a real noob question but I need help getting the right drivers installed for adb to recognize the GWR. Ive installed and uninstalled a variety of drivers and none of them worked (phone would not display the prompt), but now I'm suspecting the build of lollipop on my note 3 was to blame. So I downgraded to stock kitkat and I'm trying again but I want to be sure I have the right drivers.

Easiest working way root an HTC one M7 in 2022

I am trying to root my old T-Mobile HTC One M7 in an attempt to run some data recovery to get back some lost photos. I am aware this will likely fail, but want to try anyway.
To do this, I need root on the phone. Ive followed some quides, ran some root apks on the phone ( Kingo Root and a couple of others ), and havent had any success. I even installed a few really sketchy programs on my PC to get it working, and no luck.
My HTC sync manager works fine, but nothing else seems to talk to the phone correctly from my PC.
Most of the guides have dead links in them, as theyre from several years ago. Some posts indicate I need an HTC specific driver, some indicate I need the github universal driver for adb bridge, some claim I can download an APK directly to the phone.
I've been looking and failing for a few days now, with no luck -
Can anybody point me to something they think will still actually work in 2022?
What is the right driver for windows 10 to get adb and other non htc sync manager connections to work with this phone.
Thanks in advance -
