Is it possible? I could on Mix 2s easily via recovery.
It is possible. You have to download the latest Oreo based beta version, which is MIUI 8.9.7, and install this package via the software update section in the settings. Once you are on the Oreo beta, you'll get the newest beta via the software updater.

I can confirm that it works. Started from Global stable 10.0.3.0, flashed the global beta 8.9.7 and then updated to beta 8.10.25 and the last step was to beta 10.11.2

I think you can't because the beta versions are based on Pie and the stable on Orea, so i suppose the ARB can give you some problems

the beta version stable doesn't exist. Beta or stable. I prefer beta because i have weekly updates, more functions, and more bugs solved
And how is the battery? Better or worse?
Now that the last stable version is based on Pie, do you think it's possible to go back from Dev Rom to stable?

Oh i didn't notice that the global stable is on Pie too now. The ARB function allows to flash same versions of Android, so i think you can

Well im trying to understand this, because since my Mi8 is unlocked and rooted for the first time i have to update it with the weekly update. I received OTA notification and i have downloaded the OTA update (8.12.7) but when i confirm to Updater to apply the weekly update my phone restarted in twrp and the update failed. So yes maybe the way is to restore the original recoevery, flash the last weekly version and then flash twrp and root (with magisk in my case): I don't like very this, a bit too complicated but for now i can't imagine better and shorter ways

If you have TWRP, you can just install the FULL ROM ZIP of betas or stable and flash with TWRP without issues. Just download them from the official XIAOMI website. You cannot install the incremental updates that come from the internal ROM updater software. It only downloads the difference in the ROM versions, and it will fail because files that need patched have changed and fail the validation process. You might have to re-root and install the recovery after you flash.

I'm worried about coming back from beta to stable. As I read on web with ARB u can't make downgrade (from newest version to older). So in my theory is possible to came back from beta to stable just in one case and that is little bit...
Example:
Last beta version was released on sunday 15.5.2018
Last stable version WILL/WAS be relesed thursday 19.5.2018
So u have 2 days for make jump from beta to stable because on next sunday 22.5.2018 will be released another beta which will be again newest than last stable version or dont make any update of beta after release stable version.
Ofcourse I can be wrong

Uhm...i think the ARB check the Android version only. So if you are on Pie you can't go back to Oreo. Only this

After brushing into the Chinese version, you should brush into the magisk to prevent BL from being locked
I think if u flash via twrp or pitchblack dont relock your BL...be careful if u flash using miflash..dont forget to choose to dont lock it

Compared to .eu ROMs, which one is more stable and fast?
Both are fast without bugs..but .eu ROMs are much better because they are cleaned..dont have Chinese Trash...many services that dont work outside China are there and u dont need and cant use them..the only advantage that Chinese rom have is incremental Ota..eu.rom need to update with full rom...i back to eu rom after 1 ir 2 days
I tried the china stable before tryig the eu version.
My impressions:
- More fluid animations (especially gestures)
- A lot of bloatware (most of it can be disabled, but not all, like the mi store, mi wallet or the assistant)
- Never saw any ads
- You can install Google play with a few clicks, but it's not as integrated as in the eu rom
- OTA incremental easy updates
- Faster updates
I still would like to go back to the china stable for two reasons: Faster updates, less bugs.
But Mi flash and QFIL didn't work on my device (MI A2 with ARB4) I don't know if you can force the flash with TWRP. If you find a way please let me know.
Hope it helps

Did you try it in EDL mode either?

So you're wanting to switch to official MIUI that has ads and bloatware over using the builds from xiaomi.eu which the point of xioami.eu is it being the exact same thing as official MIUI but with all the garbage removed? Why?
Hello good people,
was trying to install new version 12.5.20.0.RKDEUX manually
but it will not install doesn't pass 0%
thanks
I installed 12.5.20 manually as well. No problems, but I updated from 12.5.16, not from 12.5.19. It's strange, becouse 12.5.20 was published earlier than 12.5.19. There was no 12.5.19 when I installed 12.5.20.
can i install Xiaomi 11T Pro Global on my m11 t pro
Just casually looking through post's on this forum I gathered that you've changed release branches from STABLE to BETA by installing 12.5.19 as it is a EU BETA release number. It won't let you update as it's not really an update to the software you currently have on your device. And it means nothing that it says stable in your device info panel. That's just how Xiaomi does things. You can flash .20 through fastboot but you'll most likely have to format data to not end up in a boot loop. You'll be back to STABLE branch but with the phone basically reset to stock. At least that was the case with other MIUI devices I've done this with.
Always read carefully what and how to flash when you decide to do so, to not end up bricking your device.

No they don't but it's a logical conclusion. As antykat said the next update from 12.5.16 in stable branch of EEA ROM is 12.5.20 not 12.5.19. There's a thread by yshalsager on this forum with MIUI Updates Tracker. You can see the update history for 11t pro there and 12.5.19 is marked as beta release.
Hello. I bought mine two weeks ago and came with EEA 12.5.19 out of the box. Downloaded 12.5.20 recovery rom and updated without any problem.
