So I forgot to resize the system and vendor size before trying to install a ROM. I decided to resize it so I powered off the device and plugged USB. but unfortunately, it is now stuck on the startup screen. Holding the power button for more than 30-sec isn't doing anything.
Help, please.

need help with my nexus one.
basically i can boot into the bootloader but it i try to go to recovery it just shows the nexus X logo indefinitely, if i power on the device without holding volume down or trackball it shows X logo indefinitely. If i pull the battery out while at X logo I cannot boot at all untill i remove the battery for 15 minutes then try again.
I tried getting an official ROM and flashing it with bootloader by naming it passimg.zip and it keeps saying that the file is incorrect and doesnt load it.
ADB doesnt seem to work and the phone doesnt seem to connect to the computer anymore ie to say no dadum sound on windows when i plug usb in on fastboot or boot loader.
its a friend's phone and he asked me to fix it after trying some weird stuff on it. seems usb bricked and seems all the flashes are blank or corrupted..

ruu 2.3.4 download
Boot in bootloader
Run ruu program
ANd you have gingerbread again
when on the bootloader you have to use fastboot, not adb.
try fastboot flashing a recovery, then try to boot to it
or flash blackrose and check for bad blocks. If there's too many, then your NAND might have gone bad
I need help. I deleted/wiped in advanced mode in twrp the system and now I have No OS installed. I don't kow what to do now the phone does not bood except into twrp.
Use NOST
Sent from my NB1 using XDA Labs
After hours of "work" I have my phone running again. I was able to get the phone run stock recovery again and then was easy to just flash the oreo zip.
well good to know you solved the problem.
but just in case keep your phone bootloader critical unlocked so you can use NOST if you face such problems again.
Just happened again. I wanted to put twrp img back on the phone and as it reboots... its stuck on "Powered by Android". I cannot flash or do anything since its stuck and does not turn off. I tried all combinations of volume/power button and hold them for minutes... just does not turn off. So its not recognized by NOST or anything. Now I am really screwed as it seems...

I am at such condition too... how long battery lasts? I think it's possible to wait for the phone to fully discharge and then we may have access to recovery. right?

If you tried to "fastboot boot" the TWRP image: thats "normal", fastboot boot is broken on every firmware since august. You have to flash TWRP to your active boot partition to boot it. However, at least for me, when being stuck in that screen I can still use "fastboot reboot" or "fastboot reboot-bootloader" to get the phone back in a working state.
Also, if you try to flash TWRP to your active boot: Please don't flash the image from the official site, since that is unable to boot into the system normally. Use my recompiled generic TWRP boot image that you can flash, regardless of security patch version: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-8/development/twrp-data-decryption-android-9-t3911411
If you did not fastboot boot an image: Hold down volume up, volume down and power for multiple minutes until the phone turns off. Then hold volume down while connecting the phone to a computer through USB, and it will start into fastboot mode. Then just revert whatever you changed and reflash the stock image.

It turns out that there was Pie on my partition B and I was not aware of that. Booting into TWRP wasn't working, so I flashed it and then factory reset system. And it broke the phone.
Now I tried to boot the TWRP from slot B and rebooted partition A. Now the phone is up... Thanks
Where can I find the appropriate stock boot image for my partition B? and should I fastboot it with boot_b command or what?
Hey guys,
So I'm having issues trying to fix my Samsung Tab A 10.1 ( SM-T510 ).
At first I was trying to install a custom TWRP recovery image, and I had a boot loop where it kept getting stuck at the SAMSUNG splash screen(not the initial samsung boot screen that shows TAB A 10.1). I however overcame that issue by factory reseting and through some additional tinkering.
Now the part I'm starting to regret.
I tried once again to flash the custom TWRP to the tablet, but this time I forgot to tick the "autoreboot" setting off.
So ODIN shows a PASS for the flash, but now when the tablet boots its stuck in the following boot sequence:
START:
Initial Samsung boot screen asking to press power button to continue due to unknown boot image source etc
PRESS POWER
SAME INITIAL SAMSUNG BOOT SCREEN minus the power button prompt, lasts for about 3-5 seconds
REBOOT
Now I have managed to get into download mode with the tablet connected to a computer.
I CANNOT get into recovery mode to factory reset the tablet, which was the solution the last go around.
I am starting to think that the only way I am going to get the tablet back in original working order, or any working order for that matter is to:
A: LOCATE original firmware for my device, I believe it is GTAXLWIFI firmware for my device. However the files I have found don't seem to be accepted in ODIN...
B: Try to continue on with the TWRP process, which I have tried to reflash the TWRP recovery that I have, and it shows pass. But, the issue persists.
Any suggestions or help would be amazing!
Thanks!
Timing is the key
Set your finger on position where you gonna restart the device.
Hold power + vol down
After the screen restart switch soon as possible you finger to set to recovery by
Hold vol up + down + insert the USB C cable
Remember timing is the key. I have done this for several tabs that screw on my home so you are welcome bro

I think "restarts" may be confusing. Switch from down to up as soon as the screen turns off.

You can use frija.exe to get the latest stock firmware. To get TWRP you MUST boot to recovery before system. If you allow the tablet to boot to system first, it will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery. Do this by pressing vol down and power till the screen turns off. As soon as it does, switch from vol down to up while still pressing power and keep holding both till the red warning message appears. You also need to leave the cable attached to the PC while doing this.
Android 10 newest version.
So I installed magisk and everything went fine.
But when i switch off my device and turn it on I cant boot it up. It's stuck on the splash screen (turns on, splash screen, warning screen, splash screen) and keeps repeating. i cant boot into recovery either.
From what i read to boot into magisk on a s10+ you have to hold bixby+volume up+power, and to boot into recovery press those three, but when you see the second splash screen let go of the bixby button and keep holding the power+volume up.
I have flashed TWRP through the official twrp app, and maybe that's the problem? Maybe i don't know when to press those button combinations, but i have tried quite a few time and i just cant move past the second splash screen.
Please help.

I can however boot into download (odin) mode by pressing the volume down+bixby and connecting to my pc.
try to reflash twrp . but using twrp from @ianmacd and flash using odin.
put ianmacd's twrp .IMG into .TAR using 7zip and flash Odin as AP @Bluetinity custom twrp is better than official ?

Hi All,
I"m reasonably experienced custom flasher but I appear to have stuffed up pretty badly this time. I was attempting to flash a 13 GSI rom and the tablet is in a boot loop. Holding the power button by itself doesn't power it off. The power button with either or both of volume up or down doesn't achieve anything. Any ideas please on how to break the loop?
I solved it so here it is if anyone else falls into the same trap.
I held down volume up & down at the same time and then plugged in the usb cable after the Samsung logo disappeared. I had to try a few times and then I had a landing screen. I then clicked on volume up and the tablet went into download mode. However flashing didn't work both in Odin & Heimdall with no meaningful message. I then noticed o the landing screen on the right side there was "dev_unsupported" and there was an option to long press volume up. This took me to another download screen without the "dev_unsupported". I tried flashing an oem with twrp built in and it failed at recovery.img with a message about not digitally signed. I then download the oem rom and it worked.
Thanks! That was very helpful.
