Hi there, just got my Kasier yesterday and was working fine, but took it out of the belt case on getting to work and the screen is super washed-out and white. You can still barely make out some words etc. but something is definately wrong. Rebooting the normally red version numbers in the bottom right are a light cyan/blue! Any ideas? Only other weird thing is battery was down to 77% at 8:15 am from full at 6:30am with about 30 mins WiFi use. Unit gets hot with WiFi but not crazy so, and is not hot now. Rebooting doesn't fix the issue. Help!!!! Thanks for any ideas...(and yes already notified MadMonkeyBoy of the problem since I got it from him).
happend 1year ago with my tytn
Hi,
This behaviour happend to me 1 year ago with my Tytn. since this happend just before my hollidays, I open a ticket to HTC europe, they request me to send it back for repair. When I return from vacation (I let the battery out), I just checked before sending it, and... it was fine... never happend again...
My advice... let it rest a little... you stressed it 2 much...
Now serious... send it to HTC.
Regards,
Joao
does the case have a magnet to hold it closed? i thought i read somewhere on XDA that the when the phone is in a case with a magnet it can cause some problems; i don't recall, though, if this caused problems with the screen... i'm interested to hear feedback, thoughts from other "real" experts.

The case that comes with the Kaiser is not one with Magnets. Similar pouch style but with a tape/velcro fastening.
Having said that I'm using a Hermes case with magnets. It does no harm, though it can operate the screen orientation switch according to reports. In addition it can (again according to reports and tested by me) actually turn the device on from standby so you could drain your battery using such a case.

This happened to me last night. Anyone got any answers? I'm using a Krussel case with a magnet. Phone only bought recently second-hand off ebay - just a few weeks. Gutted here.
Sorry to dig up a thread from the dead, but I just had this happen tonight. It looks EXACTLY like the pics in the OP's post. Has anyone ever found a solution to this problem? Even LCD replacement? I don't mind replacing the LCD If I know it will fix the problem. My fear is buying a replacement LCD and finding out it is some other hardware problem, and I don't want to waste the money on an LCD if it's not the issue at hand.
Hello everybody,
unfortunately my brand new HTC HD7 fell into water. Now Is still perfectly working but the background of the screen looks like wet.
I wonder if there is any possible solution (display replacement would work or might be something else damaged).
Since the phone is working, even you don't notice with dark background, i wonder if it might be useful for to test rom or try new software, if someone interested please contact me.

You shouldnt use it until its completely dry, that is, put it in a sealed contianiner with dry rice for at least overnight.
Hi,
unfortunately when it fell it was on and after that i didn't swithc off anymore. I already tried the overnight in rice.
I wonder if changing the screen would be enough. On this site (http://www.repairsuniverse.com/htc-hd7-touch-screen-digitizer-replacement.html) it cost 79US$ but i wonder if it can be changed smoothly.
Two months on my spice mi 410 and the touchscreen has started to act weirdly. Sometimes it becomes totally unresponsive and sometimes mistakes a glide as a tap and vice versa. Have tried stock froyo & gingerbread, TJ's RC2, CM7, MIUI but the problem still remains
It all started the day I flashed CM7 on it and the touchscreen has been like this ever since. Have tested it on all the kernels as well. The touchscreen is very laggy and it stutters quite a few times while scrolling through the app drawer. Answering calls is a pain as the slider keeps on going back from half screen.
I had a screen protector which I removed and the problem went away only to come back after an hour. I am really pissed as I am not even able to answer calls, any help would be greatly appreciated
P.S. I also gave the phone to the service centre and they returned it after 5 days saying nothing was wrong with the phone, I am going crazy

hi
Yesteday i removed my screen gaurd and the screen going crazy stopped
so i can tell u 100% ud be happy with the phone on removing the screen gaurd
I flashed the rom 13D rooted it and removed the screen gaurd and at last the phone seems to be quit fine now.So go a head remove the Bl***dy screen protector
the problem actually was that screen gurad sometimes get air bubbles though which are not visible .. so when we touch the screen the bubble get pressure and try to move to other corner of screen that's why touch gives such auto typing errors
remember to click thanx if u find post useful ... it get counted yaar
I have sweaty fingers, so slight sweat ruins the touch sense
And yeah no screen guard and cleaned touchsceen
Swyped from my MI 410 using XDA App
i too have sweaty hands that's why i have got a cotton piece inside my phone's pouch and whenever i feel i clean it keep a piece of cloth that comes with the screen guards always with u if u use a capacitive touch screen... dont apply screen guards becoz airbubbles also make screen feel like its been touched though it doesnt make any sense
I tried ur formula and.............................. it worked....
the screen is almost 90% normal and it is functioning normally except a few glitches now and then, just using for the last half an hour, will let you know how it goes after using it for a few days......
Thanx for helping me out buddy, I was all set to throw this phone at the wall, keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't go awry once again....
BTW did u succeeded in getting ur phone up and going..... saw ur bricked phone post...... all the best for that..... and once again thanx for helping me out.

ya mine is bricked ... i submitted to the service center they said i will have to call them today in the morning then they will let me know the stats... hope piece would be replaced
finally the screen works but not without some innovations from my side.......
I noticed that after cleaning the screen it would work fine for half an hour or so and then again went back to its weird self, so I finally decided to try something new, cleaned the screen once again and then covered it with an transparent adhesive tape, the thinnest and clearest I could get in the market, and now it works like a charm.
I guess the screen had developed some deep love for the sweat from my sweaty fingers which was causing the problem to reoccur, been using it now for the whole day with heavy usage and it hasn't let me down till now......
All's well now.... loving my phone all over again and ICE CREAM SANDWICH........ yumm....

Yes... the sweat is the main problem... just keep the screen clean. As long the screen is clean, then it will act normal.
+ MIUI also will help

I dunno if anybody's gonna reply as the phone is a lost legacy now :crying:
But I broke the touchscreen over a year ago... and I miss the phone... so gonna do a digitizer replacement
Is the Huawei Ideos X6's digitizer component gonna be compatible with Spice CSL Mi410?? I know its the same phone... but there's a minor digitizer size difference i guess ( maybe also some touch driver issues?? )
Anybody who's done the ditizer replacement for this device??
And I also do remember having wierd touchscreen issues.... Has anybody tried a matte screen guard??
I think it might just work... as matte works good even with sweaty fingers
I ran with the phone this morning, got a drop of sweat on it and now the touch screen isn't working at all with fingers. It works fine with the S-pen. I have ran and worked out with every phone I have had many times getting sweat all over them and never had an issue. Can't believe a drop or two of sweat would kill this touchscreen.
Anyone had a similar issue?

I thought I was screwed because I bought an unlocked off eBay, but never-msrp is letting me send it back. Good customer service.
Hi, has anybody else experienced that their screen goes blank and doesn't come back on when on a call and what makes it worst is I can't hang up my phone after I'm done with my call. Basically I'm at the mercy of the other person hanging up when the conversation is done, the only way that I have resolved this problem is when I restart my phone. What causes this problem?
Do you have a tempered glass screen protector on?
Look to the left of the top speaker and you will see two sensors (proximity and ambient light). Is there anything covering these, such as a screen protector, skin, or case?
I do have a screen protector on the phone. Should I just remove it? I just find it strange that once I restart the phone that everything works as it should.

Because it doesn't check that sensor except when you're on a phone call.

When I bought my first smartphone, a Galazy S2, I bought an expensive (£10) screen protector. All it did was attract grease and fingerprints, so after a couple of months, after a sudden attack of common sense, I threw it away. The screen was suddenly always clean and smooth, and on every phone I've had since there has never been a single mark on any screen. Admittedly I do look after it - unlike colleagues who seem happy to literally throw their phones on to tables - and keep it always in an empty pocket with no coins or keys.
It seems very odd to me that we have incredibly tough glass on our phones (see the many people on Youtube trying to scratch their phones deliberately) and yet we feel the need to reduce their performance with pointless pieces of plastic...? Bizarre...

It sounds like your sensor maybe going. I have always kept a screen protector on my device and never had issues until I used a tempered glass one. The tempered glass was to thick to allow the proper amount of light in which kept the screen from coming on when a call came in or when on a call.
I would run a logcat and try to catch it happening. This will tell you just what is going on.

First before you get ahead of yourself. Find out if it is the screen protector. It is a cheap fix if it works and cheap to replace if it doesnt.

Because you are not sure if that is even the problem. The only time I had this issue was with a tempered glass one. This is a known common issue. I never had this issue with a normal one.

Have you bothered to pull a log at as I advised? This will tell you. Have you tested it without the screen protector as I also advised?
Just because it is the same sensor (which I doubt) doesn't mean it is programmed the same way.

Yes I have. And what I've noticed is that if I erase my call log history or restart my phone, everything goes back to normal.

I had the same problem some weeks ago WITHOUT a screen protector but it never happened again. Could be the sensor which fails sometimes or a software related error. Are you using the stock phone application and stock kernel?

If it's a Phone app bug the only thing you can do is deleting its cache and/or reflashing the factory image. If this doesn't solve it, I would say it's an hardware fault, but I'm still prone to think it's software related.
