I've been running Ultimatelaunch for about a month (unregistered) with no stability issues.
Try searching here. They have answered a lot of questions. If you don't find it then post. They are pretty good about getting you an answer.
no issue for me I use it with SPB mobile shell , pocket plus, pocket weather, rltoday

Yeah, make sure all today plugins that you want INSIDE the Ultimate Launch are UNCHECKED to be on your Today Screen.

Seems to work with one exception.
If I go to Mail, open the keyboard (Rotate Screen) then go to the today screen and close the keyboard, INSTANT LOCKUP. If I stay in mail, and go back to the closed position, I am fine.... Otherwise seems to be working.
i have been having problems too... since i installed UL my user interface has been extremely lagging. and i have tried all kinds of ways to get it working perfectly like how everyone says it works.
a lot of people says it works perfectly with out anything, but wheni have it installed it laggs up unbelievably...
i even have to put a back up until the latest time in order to get everything working.

been searching if anybody had the following problem, then i stumbled on this thread, where somebody might be able to help me.
I had a qtek 9100 before with ultimatelaunch, with today plugins in ultimatelaunch. This worked perfectly, nothing wrong.
Recently, i purchased a Kaiser (to be precise, a T-mobile MDA Vario 3), on which i tried to run Ultimatelaunch. Everything works fine, except after i launched an application & go back to the today screen. When i run tomtom for example, and i go back to the today screen, the ultimatelaunch part is not automatically refreshed. If i just press in the area once, its redrawn. Does anybody have the same issue, or even better, a suggestion on how to solve it?

My system backs up nightly and I soft reset after every backup. I believe this eliminates many issues with my system.

this is a today plugin which is activated by the kaiser tweak and it shows if wifi and bt is dis-/enabled.
to switch wifi on, i have a button in ul.

Problem is that HHC check if HTC Home Plugin is enabled at startup.
Because it thinks it's not, it starts HHC. After making changes, it will try to copy changed file's to HTC Home directory. Because HTC Home is loaded into Ultimate Launch that will fail, and make Ultimate Launch crash!
Best for you to do is, disable Ultimate Launch on your today screen, start HHC and make changes to plugin, then after applying re-enable Ultimate Launch. (Uncheck HTC Home, it's auto enabled trough HHC.)
That should work for you.

Just use the HTC Home that is version 1.5, it works on WM5 and WM6. I installed it on my device using the cab, and modded it no prob. I run the Jag rom and have no issues. HTC Home above 1.5 don't always play nice unless they are cooked into the rom.

I think it's was partially not compatible to WM5 or the installations was incompletely. So i install in the last an older configurator...

one other question above HTC Home plugin:
In the top on left the screen shows the provider-network. So by me it's Vodafone.de.
If i power up my device (i'm at home), so it's show shortly "vodafone.de" and than for under one second "home" and than again permanently "vodafone.de".
I think, if i be in my homezone "vodafone at home" the HTC home-plugin is shortly signaled "home" by power up the device. If it right, that the HTC home-Plugin can show the "home-zone", so is the signalisation to short.
Give's ther an trick to show the Signalisation of "home-zone" permanently or that the plugin can showes it by permanently switch the displaying between Network-provider and signaled "home" or a other way to display the homezone if i be in my homezone?

That was the only one i could get to work for the wizard to,glad you are happy, as for a task manager ,to show you all running programs, just add it to the program tab of htc home and then you can just click it to show up all running programs, or install Battstatus, that has a task manager built into it ,or use x-button

but... what is with the signalisation "home"? It is right, that HTC home can display the homezone (only very shortly) or it is a false interpretation, that is was short displayed "home" by power on the device (if i be in my homezone)?

Oh, "home" was not by each swith-on displayed! Is my device longer time switched off (standby), than showes "home", if i switch from on to off and afresh on (also from the second switch-on).

This looks interesting. I'm running Octaivoi v6 which has a built-in HTC Home. I assume it's v1 although I don't really know.
Do you think there is a way to switch to v1.5? There is no way to uninstall the HTC Home from the ROM, of course...

a experiment:
go into the registry: HKLM-SOFTWARE-HTC and delete the entry HTCHome. Make sure, that you have make a registry-backup, before you delete the entry.
Make a softreset.
If now the HTCHome-display not shows, look to start-settings-home-elements whether there still the entry "HTC Home".
If not, so test the setup of HTCHome 1.5, if the setup can now overwrite the older files or if it got an error-message.
May be, that you must have the extracted files and copy it manualy.
How i said: It's an experiment! May be that it works, may be, that it not works...
If the newer files not can be to copying, than restore the registry, so that the older HTCHome-Plugin again can works.

Hello again, another problem with the official HTC 6.1 Rom update ... IGO 8 does not work anymore ... I re-installed the whole software but the problem is the same : when I launch IGO 8, nothing happens ...

i had this before with previous wm6.1 roms. you need to use kaisertweak to disable assisted gps.

I had to disable A-GPS and the "HTC Home" on the today screen.
But it only works if after having disabled the "HTC Home" I soft reset my device.
That means I will not use IGO 8 anymore, and this is a big issue for me because that was my favorite GPS application.

Thanks for your answer. I will try it but I don't really like this kind of applications. I tried one of these "cube" applications, and I noticed that it was slowing down some other applications using the touch screen like "pencil box" for exemple.

OK, I tried : Ultimate Launcher does not affect the performances of the other applications, very good point.
IGO 8 works fine. But when I try to display the HTC HOME inside UL, IGO 8 does not work anymore ... So your solution does not work for me.

Try disabling the HTC Home music tab. That worked for me.
I had the same problem. Here are the fixes, choose which one suits you best (no need to use them all):
Disable HTC Home. Sometimes it's enoughto disable only some of its plugins (weather, music etc.). I like HTC home, though. This works, but i prefer other solutions.
Put a shortcut to iGo8 in your /Windows/StartUp folder. Pro: After you reset once - yuou can work with iGo8, close it, restart it etc. - no probs at all. Con: Every time you reset, iGo8 starts (so you lose a few seconds in life). This is what I use, and it works gr8.
Just heard that the June 2008 version of iGo8 works well with WM6.1 and HTC Home. My version is older. Didn't try this one yet.

latest patch of igo8 (24 june) version fixes the problem with htc 6.1 / home editions...
But i have 6.1 and TF2D Manila installed and iGO 8.3.2.xxxx and it works fine.

use ultimate launch to place touchflo3d on first page and the other plugins on the next page. you can size one page to fit the whole screen so that you can switch between whole pages with your thumb or with a click, like you want

tf3d is so nice, i wish i could remove the internet tab and replace it with batterystatus instead!
Guys try this program http://www.chi-tai.info/download/SecondToday.zip and do this:
Copy SecondToday.exe to your desired location, e.g. \Program Files\SecondTody\SecondToday.exe and start the application
and then just copy the program again to windows start menu, and then add it to program list in the htc touch flo. then when ever you want it just click it.

i need to keep an eye on my calltimes and umts-data because both is limited due my contract and the only tool that handles both is (as far as i know) battery status...correct me if i'm wrong. gprs counter is bundled with my diamond but it isn't able to count call times...
edit: just tested it and second today always gets closed (or crashes) when touchflo3d is enabled...i can add plugins to 2nd today but when i switch back to touchflo3d second today not listed in taskmanager anymore after a couple of seconds.

I use a program called Ariel Battery and disabled the default battery icon. Put Ariel Battery in your startup folder, you can modify color schemes, it's small and even shows you the %.

Does anyone else use SPB Pocket Plus (latest version V4.0.2 - Dec 07) and WM6.1 and suffer the annoying problem where the today plugin icons don't pickup correctly after a reset?
It's easily fixed by clicking to refresh all tabs, but surely it shouldn't do it???
I'm also suffering a problem whereby not all text messages are received by my phone. (I posted in the General section with no joy - am hoping that you software guys may know if something conflicts?!) It's very strange as the phone lights up as if a text is coming through, then nothing happens. I've tried a Hard Reset and restore to no avail.
Wierd thing is, my mate has a Kaiser on Vodafone UK (V1615) running WM6.0 and he has the same problem - I'm on O2-UK so it's not a carrier problem.
I set his Kaiser up for him with much the same software as mine, including SPB PocketPlus V4.0.2...

As far as the PocketPlus, I am using it and I haven't had a problem at all with the icons or anything else for that matter. I haven't had any problems with the txt msgs either. You may need to reset the mms server?? I don't know about that, I just remember reading about it in another thread somewhere... As for the backdrop change, that's not a pocket plus related conflict. I am not sure what else you have installed, but I have changed mine multiple times in the past 2 days and haven't had a single problem or anything that told me I had reset or that I needed to soft reset the phone. I would suggest unistalling the Pocket Plus and reinstalling it. I know that I have had to do that before because of one of the other SPB proggies i used had changed some values in the registry for it. Otherwise, I would contact SPB, they would know how to fix it. Unless you didn't purchase it...

The only other things I have installed (all bought and paid for!) that startup with the phone are SKTools (set to performance optimisation) and Kasperski AntiVirus...
I might try uninstalling those and SPB and reinstalling them one by one...

I have been havng the spb problems since 6.1 installation as well (I am with AT&T in the US, original Kaiser).
Thanks for pointing out the "Refresh All Tabs" option...I have to stupidly admit that I was not aware of it and I have been fixing the icons one at at a time....very boring...However, I have no solution to offer to the problem, other than to verify that it is a real one.
Hmm running fine on my kaiser with the hyperdragon roms...
Are you using the "close button" plugin? if so, did you enter tmail.exe and poutlook.exe as exceptions? don;t doing this could lead to problems
for the icons, I have the same problems too sometimes, did you install it on main memory? are the missing icons from programs installed on storagecard?
there is an option under today plugins->advanced, "refresh icons in today plug-in when storage card is inserted." try enabling that and see if it helps

Today Plugin Problems
I also use pocket plus on my Tilt, and it is apparently version 4.0.2 build 6227. What really annoys me is that the today plugin worked perfectly on wm 6.0, but after that &[email protected]#! 6.1 upgrade, it works fine for a few hours after I installed a lot of programs and soft resetted a bunch, until I backed up my phone. After using sprite Backup 5 ONCE, it deletes all my tabs and icons in the plugin and doesn't remember them no matter what I do. It still is checked in the today plugins menu, but it isn't there as there is nothing for it to show. SPB's got some serious work to do.

Today plug-ins shoud be installed to Main Memory.
Spb 4.01 works far better than 4.02 IMO.
Hi everybody,
since one week, I'm the proud owner of a the great HTC Touch Pro.
In the meanwhile I tried nearly every day new software, new themes, new wallpapers and so on, to customize the HTC TP according to my needs.
After I tried various user-interfaces, I came always back to the Touch Flo 3D interface... it's the best for me (according to usability and design), even if there are 2 issues that are still frustrating since I were not able to solve them or find a proper workaround:
1. The home-screen shows only the next appointment and is not customizable to show more than 1 appointment at the same time - even if I scroll down (the clock is getting smaller), there's only 1 appointment shown.
This behaviour is not very satisfying - especially since I'm using my phone mostly for the business.
2. The is my biggest problem: I have a tool called "profiles" - with this tool, you can manage and create different profiles and you can also create a schedule that can switch profiles automatically (I was using this tool already on my old device with windows mobile 5 and it worked great). Especially the schedule-functionallity was very great and I'm looking for a solution that is also working under Touch Flo 3D.
As far as I noticed, profiles is not working with touch flo 3D - the scheduled tasks are not applying and the activation of a profile within the program is not working - I think this tool is only working if you install the plugin on the home screen (of the windows mobile interface).
Since I have no "home screen" in Touch Flo 3D, the tool is not usable for me.
Does anyone here have a comparable profile-tool which works under Touch Flo 3D (with the scheduling option)?

I have spent whole day searching i have try almost every single of them most are not free and they are as today plug-in so it sux because if you use TF3D you can't use anyother plugin unless you install Second today. So angry as hell i have pointless shuffle through XDA and...

i found G-Profile! GREAT FREEWARE!
it can switch profiles according to many rules such as time, schedule, appointment etc. etc. and it have plenty of options.
i also found Phoneweaver but eventually because it's not free i didn't test it ( Had enough of payed software after PhoneAlarm and SPB Phone suite which are only today's plugins... )

Now, I just have to find out if there is any possibility to execute the profile-changer from the TF3D Home-Screen (without using one of the soft-keys for that)... that would be the best solution for me!... for example: If I touch on the clock, the profile-changer opens... or something comparable...
I try to find out if there is any possibility and will let you know if somebody is also interested...
I doubt it. Only soft/hard key remaping or program launcher tab.
ageye can do no wrong! Everything made by ageye is awesome. Try out g-light as well to tweak your backlight. I just tried this last night, and it is pretty cool. g-alarm is also a must have.

You could try SSMaPa http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407777
a manila patcher with which you can reassign other programs to manila programs - also to the clock on the home screen.
I use it for iContact and it works great
Yup ageye soft is great.

Only downside for me: it really, really drains my battery...

That`s absolutely true!
My HTCTP never survived the whole night until the next morning!
Maybe you should also try to reduce the polling intervall that should reduce the battery consumption...
Now, I have only the QuickSwitch enabled and implemented it directly "behind" the clock on Manila 3D (with SSMaPa - see link above) - that means: When I click on the clock an the startpage, the quickswitch window opens and I can directly select my profile!
