Ifonz Skins by Worm+Icon pack - Windows Mobile Themes

I have been using Ifonz since i first got my Samsung sch-I760 a couple months ago, and was unhappy with the visuals so set about making my own custom wallpapers..I am offering to you all in the hopes that maybe some of you can use them or better yet make your own and post them here for others to use/modify.
the zip file contains [3] folders
the folders contain:
1] the actual .jpg background images in both portrait and lanscape mode to be used with Ifonz [main files]
2] I have included psd layered files for you artists so you can easily add your own pictures.Just replace the background image with your own.The top layer contains the borders [optional]
3] I have also included the icons that i have been using personally. not necessary but there if you want them.44x44 in size [optional]
here are some screenshots (note: these are just a few and do not show all images available)
.
for the Ifonz configuration/settings:
_________________________
Under 'Top and Bottom Bar' settings:
make top bar and bottom bar fully transparent by dragging the transparency slider (0%) all the way to left
_________________________
Under 'Icons' settings:
N* Icons in Bottom Bar: = [4]
_________________________
Adjust the bottom [4] icons to be as follows:
choose blank.png for all four icon images (both pushed and unpushed)
and adjust their links as follows:
1) [phone] - 2) [messages] - 3) [power on/off] - 4) [contacts]
thats it. hope you like them and hope to see what you all come up with.

very nice theme.. good job! to bad I cant try it I lost my usb/phone plug -_- need to get a new one..

thanks for your work

[Guide] Customize S2U2 Battery Animation, Slider Button, Animation & Curtain

POST 1:
Customize S2U2 "Slide to Unlock" text Animation
POST 2:
Customize S2U2 Slider button
Customize S2U2 Curtains
Change S2U2 Battery Animation
Here I will tell you guys how to customize the "slide to unlock" text animation.
1. The Animation file is in \Program Files\S2U2\gfx Folder named "slideanis.png"
2. It is made up of several slides of images of size 112x12 pixels(IMPORTANT), each placed right next to the other.
3. Its like the GIF animation but the images here are placed in a single image.
4. The resulatant file can be of any width but a multiple of 112, the Height should only be 12pixels.
4. You can also make customized animations like I did.
Creating animations using only Paint & Irfanview
Designing Frames:
==============
1. Open Paint.
2. Goto Image --> Attributes(Ctrl+E)
3. Set Width to 112 & Height to 12(If values are altered thing will go hazy). Choose the pixels combobox in 'Units' group.
4. You will get a 112x12 pixels white page.
5. Zoom in it to make designing easy.
6. Design a frame to be used in the animation.
7. Save it in BMP Format. I recommend using any naming convention. If Saved in other formats quality will be decreased.
8. Got the first frame, now create each & every frame to be used repeating the steps.
9. Save all of them in BMP format.
Of course: Instead of designing frames u can use any image just resize them.
Designing Animation:
===============
1. Open IrfanView.
2. Goto Image --> Create Panorama Image.
3. Choose Horizontal in the 'Directions' group.
4. Click 'Add images' & Choose all the frames u wish to use.
5. Adjust them 'Up', 'Down' as you want them in the animation. Top frame comes first & Bottom frame comes last.
6. Uncheck 'Insert file name into image'.
6. Click Ceate Image.
7. Save it in PNG format.
PS: Animations play really fast if only one unique frame is used once, In the Loading animation I got 12 frames, each frame was used 3 times repeatedly, to make it slow. i.e each frame was added 3 times.
Use Them:
========
1. I recommend to backup the \Program Files\S2U2\gfx folder.
2. Rename the saved PNG to 'slideanis.png'
3. Copy it to the \gfx folder.
4. Run iLock2 to stop S2U2.
5. Run iLock2 to rerun it.
That's it, Design your own animations & Share them here.
Have a look at a couple of mine:
Here's how my S2U2 looks like:
'll post the screen shots of others later.
Unzip & Copy 'slideanis.png' to \Device\Program Files\S2U2\gfx
Customize Slider Button
Here is a tutorial to customze the S2U2 Slider Button.
1. S2U2 Slider button image is in Device\Program Files\S2U2\gfx folder as Arrows.png.
2. It consists of two images each of size 47x30 pixels, that makes the original image 94x30 pixels.
3. The first image is used when Slide to unlock & second image is used when Slide to Answer.
Designing Buttons:
===============
1. Open Paint.
2. Goto Image --> Attributes
3. Change width to 47pixels & height to 30pixels.
4. Design button u want to use for slide to unlock.
5. When Done, save it in BMP format.
6. Repeat the process for the next button i.e. Slide to answer.
7. Open IrfanView.
8. Goto Image --> Create Panorama Image.
9. Choose 'Horizontal' in Directions Group.
10. Click Add Images & add the images (Remember the first file is for Slide to unlock & the second is for Slide to answer)
11. Untick 'Insert file names in images'.
12. Click Create Image.
13. This file should be of 94x30 pixels.
14. Save it in PNG format.
Use Them:
=========
1. Rename the file to arrows.png
2. Copy it to Device\Program Files\S2U2\gfx folder.
3. Stop S2U2 by running iLock2.
4. Start again by running iLock2
5. U are done.
Of course: Instead of designing buttons u can use any image just resize them.
For now have this @ end of post:
Copy it to \Device\Program Files\S2U2\gfx folder
==============================
Customizing the Curtains
===========================
Here how to customize the S2U2 curtains i.e Both Top & Bottom.
The files used for both curtains is topbar.png in the \Program FIles\S2U2\gfx\ folder.
To remove the curtains just delete the files topbar.png. PS: This will remove both the curatins.
1. Make any image of height 68 pixels, You can set any width. Note:- The width of PPC screen is 240 pixels. If the width is smaller it will be appended.
2. Save it as topbar.png.
3. Place it in GFX folder.
4. Stop S2U2 by running iLock.exe
5. Run S2U2.
That's it.
This file will be used for both curtains, but you can turn off top curtain from S2U2 settings.

do you mind if you pm me just the slider? it's the object that you slide across the bar. i'd like one that doesn't already have an icon on it, because i'm trying to figure out how to make my sliders have proper gradient work.
also, could you post here that sweet clock you have in the first post?
thanks for the themes, btw, i'm using the first one in the previous post (can't describe the wallpaper, lol.)

for the slider, you actually just have to follow the first and second post and you can actually make your own slider buttons, ive done so myself and made 2 - 3 acuatll arrows that i actually switch from time to time

New Widgets Library containing:
- New Themed Widgets Collection: Neon Silhouettes. The collection includes: Analog Clock, Digital Clock, Status, Battery, 7 Links
This release is a co-production by Jotha+Vostradamus
New Stuff Preview:
(14 May 2010)
Mobile Shell Manager 4.08:
- Optimized activation and deactivation scripts: no more waiting for list reload after activating/deactivating a widget!
- New functions set: create/edit/delete changing pic widget.
The changing pic is a special widget to which users can assign a “pictures set” and it will automatically change picture at set intervals: daily, weekly, monthly… user’s choice as well as at what time the change will take place (please note that Mobile Shell will be automatically restarted for the picture change to take effect, so it’s advisable to choose an update time when the phone is likely not in use).
Users can create as many changing pictures widgets as they want, assigning them to different pictures sets and sizes to enhance screen customization possibilities.
Once created, changing picture widgets will be available as skins for a “current date” object, much like the backing panels.
Pictures sets will be released like widgets libraries, plus users can easily create their own ones following the tutorial written by Jotha (attached to this post, just scroll to the bottom)
Changing Pics Pic Sets:
- Animals (courtesy of Jotha, includes Small and Medium Square, Small and Medium Portrait, Small and Medium Landscape layouts)
- Cars (courtesy of Jotha, includes Small and Medium Square, Small and Medium Landscape layouts)
- Nature (courtesy of Jotha, includes Small and Medium Square, Small and Medium Landscape layouts)
(The images in the abovementioned Pic Sets are taken from the web and should be public domain, should anyone know differently pls report it in the thread and the related pics will be removed)

What is Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager?
Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager is a serie of scripts to handle all my mods and widgets, keeping them comfortably on the storage card and “activating” them inside Mobile Shell only when you need them.
Please note that the widgets will use device memory ONLY when activated, otherwise they’ll be simply stored on the memory card.
This new way of managing my widgets is better than the previous one for several reasons:
- No more countless entries in the “uninstall programs” window
- Comfortable interface to activate/deactivate any widget, any time
- Possibility to activate widgets on single basis: for example you can activate just the red digital clock Cats if you want it, you don’t have to install the whole color package including the colors you don’t need….
- Optimized usage of device memory (see previous point)
PLEASE NOTE:
If you have any of my widgets version 2.xx, please do the following before installing the Widget Manager:
- Uninstall all my 2.xx widgets
- Uninstall my Tools package too if you have it
- Delete the registry key “HKLM\Software\Spb Software House\Shared\Spb Menu\WidgetPackages\Spb.WidgetsZioGian”
How to install:
For the first install, you will need to download:
- Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager
- Vostradamus Base Widgets Library (qvga or vga according to your device)
- (suggested but not required) Preview Images Library
- (suggested but not required) Additional Widgets Libraries, as many as you want
- Vostradamus XML Definition file
Now, how to proceed:
- Install Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager NOT ON DEVICE MEMORY. Just choose to install it on memory card or any additional memory your device has (that's because the Widgets Manager itself is not large, but the Widgets Libraries will be)
- Extract all the widgets library you downloaded anywhere on your device (but keep them all in the same folder)
- Extract the XML definition file in Widgets Manager folder
- Run Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager
- Choose the "XML update" option from inside "Libraries" menu
- Wait for it to be done
- Choose the "Import Library Folder" option from inside "Libraries" menu
- Select the folder where you stored all the downloaded widgets libraries previously extracted
- Wait for it to be done (it may take a while, according to the number of libraries and their contents)
- Done! Now you can activate all the widgets you want (using the appropriate option)
(Of course I tested the software before releasing it, yet it's still possible that I could have missed some (minor?) bugs here and there, please bear with me and, in case you notice something odd, report it in this thread)
Any future widgets release will only include:
- Widgets Library Package with only the new additions
- Updated XML Definition File
so there will be no need to redownload everything all the times.

Widgets Creation Tutorial
Hans Heigenhauser (Jotha on Xda) kindly prepared a detailed tutorial which will guide you through the steps needed to create a new Widget Skin to be used with Mobile Shell Manager.
The guide is about a Status Widget skin, but the steps are basically the same for the other widgets too
You can find the guide attached to this post (scroll to the bottom)
-----------------
Small guide for "Flash Junkies"
- Before flashing, make a backup copy of the "widgets" folder (it's inside Mobile SHell Manager main folder)
- After flashing (and reinstalling mobile shell of course) do the following
-- Reinstall Mobile Shell Manager
-- Reupdate the XML Definition file
-- Restore the backed up Widgets folder inside Mobile Shell Manager
Done, all the widgets libraries you had before flashing are back there in their place

Thanks!!
Since when I first installed Mobile Shell 3 I wondered why the guys at Spb didn't give us the chance to change the font color... there are a lot of great backgrounds out there, but we need different font colors in order to use the light colored ones, otherwise all the texts would be unreadable.
I was hoping for them to release a patch for this with MS3.5, but they didn't so I thought "Oh well, I'll stop being lazy and I'll do it myself"
Glad to see that I'm being useful for someone else too
Released Ver 1.51, see first post for updates
Enjoy!
Looks fine .....
Does it works for VGA ?

Some of the mods could, surely not all of them, and they're not tested/ready for vga yet.
I plan to prepare a vga/wvga package too sooner or later, but I can't exactly say when yet (hopefully it won't take me too long though)
(W)VGA Finally!
Released version 1.52, this time for (W)VGA too!!!
Check first post for changes.
(W)VGA version has to be tested, I converted my mods for (w)vga devices, but not having one at hand I can't test it.
Anyone willing to try it pls report in this thread if it's working correctly.
Enjoy!
great job Man !!!

Reg Entries
I have imported registry entries before and use either Dot Fred or Total Commander, but how does one apply the .reg entries in the zip file? Thanks for the help!

Of course you have to extract them from the zip before applying them
You can use whatever import method you're most used to... personally, I like to use CeRegEditor, it's a nice free software that allows you to work on your device registry remotely from your pc while it's connected through activesync (or mobile device center on Vista).
If you want to give it a try, here's the link: http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/ but any other method can be ok too
Just curious: you said you've used Total Commander... how do you import .reg files with it? I love total commander, but I really couldn't find how to do it, if not editing the registry manually, but that's kind of uncomfortable for large edits

Thanks for this...the software helped. But to import using Total Commander, you simply copy the file(s) into the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT in the registry. I think I figured out why this didn't work using TC or Dot Fred -- the reg files were written for a PC which is why they weren't recognized (at least that was the message I got when I used the software you recommended above).

Uhm, that may be the case, dunno for sure 'cause I always use CeRegEditor and ignoring that message (I got it too) everything works fine every time

To change skin colors, simply edit your current layout, then go into the Time widget (for example), then choose change skin...you should have a much larger selection.

Skins / Themes for Winterface

Hi i've been playing with skinning vito's winterface lately as there is a general lack of information (i found a few things that help but they are all over the place)
I will attach some of my work in the second post!
so....
How to skin winterface with your custom icons...
1. copy either icons.bmp or light_icons.bmp from the \Program Files\vito\winterface\skins\bin folder from your device.
2.this image has a grid of icons 42x42 pixles which you can edit using GIMP or Photo shop.
The icons are as follows:
Line 1: Menu - Running Programs - Contact Photo - Error - Profile (ring) - Internet Explorer - Bluetooth On - Rotate
Line 2: Phone - E-Mail - SMS - Battery* - Profile (Vibrate) - Clock - Bluetooth off - Link to internet page
Line 3: RAM - ActiveSync On - Avtive Sync off - Camera - Profile (Mute) - Search - Notes - Sleep (/lock screen)
Line 4: Word - Excell - Powerpoint - Media??? - Calculator** - File Explorer - SIM Services??? - Voice Mail???
Line 5: MSN Messanger - Contacts - Help - Messaging - Media Player - Tasks (to do) - Date - Wifi On
Line 6: Signal (None)*** - Weather - Bluetooth Settings - Battery (empty)* - Battery (Charging)* - Rotate - Rotate - Wifi Off
Line 7: Fun Contact - SMS Chat - Eye Photo - Ringtone editor - Winterface - Astronavigator - Task 2 Gather - Audio Notes Touch
Line 8: Voice 2 Go - Zoom board - Voice Dialer - Sound Explorer - Goodwin - Audio Notes - Signal (Full)***
~ Please note the last 2 lines are mostly the other VITO applications
~ The following icons will have text added over the top of them; allow for this: DAte, time, Battery, Ram.
* Battery Icons: with the first battery Icon try not to move the location of the picture as a bar is placed on top of this icon to show the charge!
** Calculator: This icon doesn't show up when you add the link to the WM calculator???
*** Signal Icons: As with the battery icon, bars are placed on top to show current signal strength; try not to move the bars, just add stuff to the background or sides.

When editing the image IT IS VITAL TO SAVE IT IN A SPECIFIC FORMAT:
Save as a Windows Bitmap (*.bmp) with the advanced option of '16 bit R5 G6 B5'
Also Transparancies don't seem to work, so plan to have a background for everything.
3. When the image editing is complete copy the file back to the same folder (BACKING UP THE EXISTING FILES IN THE FOLDER ARE HIGHLY RECOMENEDED) and change skins in winterface.
When selecting the file to overwrite choose it carefully as each file has a mask (a second image telling it what to make transparent), and this is the reason my PB3000 skin doesn;t work (i need to create a mask file).
I have not yet worked out how to edit the name of a skin; or create an entirely new one, just how to edit the existing ones.
My samples
I have attached 2 files:
IReflect.zip a winterface skin based on BluemetalAxe's IReflect Icons
(i recomend overwriting Stamp_icons for this theme)
and
PB3000.zip a winterface skin (that failed to work) supposed to make winterface look like a pipboy 3000...
it doesn't work as well when I edited your bmp file using photoshop.
I duuno why~~
the bmp settings are probably wrong... 16 bit BMP R5 G6 B5; this will mean ;your pc won't be able to preview it though.

WAD Android theme (WVGA)

***UPDATED 30/10/2010 - NEW VERSION WITH A FEW IMPROVEMENTS - SEE POST 34***
*** UPDATED - SEE POSTS 6 & 7 FOR SCREENSHOTS AND POST 8 FOR DOWNLOAD LINKS ***
Hi all,
Here's an Android theme which I made to use with WAD.
It's the first theme I've created but I thought it turned out pretty well, so I thought I'd share it and see what you think.
It's for WVGA devices (I use a TG01) and is portrait only.
It has:
3 main pages for shortcuts (slide left/right to move between them)
Clock widget
2 menu pages - tap the silver button at the bottom of any main page to slide up to menu page 1, and slide your finger up on that page to access menu page 2.
Slide your finger down to get back to menu page 1 and tap the silver button at the top of menu page 1 to get back to the main screens.
Taskbar with battery, signal, wifi and new SMS notifications.
To install (if you're already using WAD you probably know this anyway, but just in case!!):
Unzip contents and copy the 'WAD Android theme' folder to Program Files/Lakeridge/Wisbar Advance Desktop/Themes.
In WAD, tap and hold the screen and select 'change theme' (or 'settings - change theme' depending which version of WAD you have).
A new theme should be listed, if not press menu, then scan for themes to fond it (theme should be called 'original backup')
Tap on this, press menu and select 'set as portrait theme'
Done!!
I also included some other android icons which are not used in the theme, for you to use when making your own changes.
Hope you enjoy it - all feedback welcome.

Thanks for sharing!
tweaks
I've discovered there's a couple of tweaks you'll need to make to this theme, to correct some things:
TIME IN TASKBAR:
This is an hour behind the clock widget and is wrong.
Enter Author Mode and tap and hold on the time.
Tap 'properties',then 'text to display'.
Delete what's in the box, tap 'insert variable' and select 'clock - 12 hour'.
Press 'done' until you are back at the main screen.
BATTERY METER:
Schoolboy error - the meter is decreasing in the wrong direction and looks messed up!!
Enter Author Mode and tap and hold on the battery meter.
Tap 'properties', then 'layout'.
Tick the box labelled 'display in the opposite direction'.
Press 'done' until you are back at the main screen.

Update
Hi there,
This is a bit of a work in progress, so here is a new version with the above corrections already done, a new wallpaper and now also a slide down bar at the top of the 3 main screens, which opens a notifications screen.
Currently this displays the newest SMS message and gives the option to cycle between next/previous messages, as well as reply to them.
In order for this new version to work, please extract the folders from the attachment and place them on your device as follows:
Android theme: Program Files/Lakeridge/Wisbar Advance Desktop/Themes
Message2Reg: My Device/Program Files
Messages: My Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs
You will also need to install Mortscript, which is included in the attachment.
Enjoy!!

Further update
The notification screen now shows todays calendar appointments, as well as your newest email (currently googlemail - although the email account can be changed), with the option to flick between next/previous emails.
Here's a screenshot of the main screen with the slide down bar at the top, and the notification screen.
I'll uplodad this updated version tomorrow.

Latest version
Hi,
Here's the latest version with a few changes - see screenshots.
What's new?
1) new email icon in the taskbar
2) reply to email option on the notification screen
3) lockscreen with slider
For emails to be refreshed when opening the notifications screen, please place 'Mail Refresh.Ink' in My Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Messages.
For the digital clock on the lockscreen to work, please ensure that in its script, the 'layout/HTC Home clock theme path' is set to be the 'Digital Clock' folder which is included in this attachment.
Any questions, please get in touch.
As always, all feedback is appreciated.

Improved lockscreen, plus extra wallpapers
Hi all,
Here's a new version with an improved lockscreen, which now includes a volume control slider, new email, SMS and battery level summaries, and network status (see screenshot).
There are also some extra panoramic wallpapers, to span the 3 main screens. In each folder there are 3 files (BG1, BG2 and BG3) - set them as the wallpaper on the following pages:
Desktop - BG1
1 - BG2
2 - BG3
In the last post I said:
"For the digital clock on the lockscreen to work, please ensure that in its script, the 'layout/HTC Home clock theme path' is set to be the 'Digital Clock' folder which is included in this attachment."
In reality you'll find that once the them is installed and applied, the digital clock won't appear on the lockscreen.
To get it, enter Author Mode and add a clock. Choose 'HTC Home' as the type, and then under 'layout/HTC Home clock theme path' set this to be the 'Digital Clock' folder from the previous attachment.
Hope that makes sense!!!
I wish I could create cabs to make this easier for you!!

All required files
For the avoidance of confusion, here are all the required files.
and if i dont have WAD installed?!?1 can i still use it? sorry im a n00b at this, i just bought my HD2 but already using froyo on it still i wanna use winmo though!!
Sorry my friend, but this theme is specifically for Wisbar Advance Desktop - without running WAD you can''t use it I'm afraid.
Regards,
wildcardspv
mmm and how do i install it?? is it too much trouble?? i dont wanna screw my HD2...
thanks for the reply
Amazing them + (too?) regularly updated!
But to update the first post would really help.
Anyway, Thank you wildcardspv!
idlehands,
What do you want to install?
WAD -> google
This them -> explained in first post, even if it is the last cab that is to be used.
I like it, but shortcuts don´t work and i have to place all them.
Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback guys
@ idlehands - Like Sener said, see earlier posts for install instructions, also check http://forum.lakeridgesoftware.com/showthread.php?t=16492.
It won't mess up your phone but if you find that you don't like the theme, uninstall WAD and ensure that afterwards the following folder has been deleted:
My Device/Program Files/Lakeridge/Wisbar Advance Desktop.
It's always a good idea to soft reset afterwards too.
@ bibiteri - I use a TG01, running KevinPWhite's ROM (TG01_KPW100618.005)
I presume you use a different device or a TG01 with a different ROM?
I guess the shortcut paths may be different on other devices/ROMs, but at least WAD makes it easy to add/edit/delete shortcuts and make them how you want them
I know. Don´t worry.
I have a topaz, htc touch diamond 2, and an energy rom.
Thank you.
What is WAD?
EDIT-- NEVERMIND
I'm trying to test it on my TP2. With WAD 4.0.4, I followed the instructions and copied all the dir around, I go to settings and themes but can't see the your theme.
Have you tried settings>>change theme>> menu>> scan for themes?
Also ensure that the Android theme folder is placed into Program Files/Lakeridge/Wisbar Advance Desktop/Themes, BUT do this on the same memory (phone/storage card) as you have installed WAD
(EG if WAD is installed to storage card, place the Android theme folder into
Storage card/Program Files/Lakeridge/Wisbar Advance Desktop/Themes)
Hope this helps . . .
tanx for ur work. do u have any plan to make it for other resolutions? like QVGA?
i rely want to test it
Can I use this with the free version(trial) of Wisbar?

[Guide] Theme with transparent icons

At the request of a number of people, here's a little tutorial explaining how I made the theme below, I called abstract theme (do not ask me why ...)
(Note that I am not the inventor of this type of theme, I am inspired by many themes I have seen on other forums, I thank very much the creators of wallpapers I used (I never remind theyre names except EG Fox, sorry for that))
These examples where created for the Dell Streak but this guide can be used for every android phone, just use the good resolution for the wallpaper
1/ So, to start, install Launcherpro (you can also take the "plus" but paying)
2/ Adjust the settings you prefer (this is only the parameters related to the theme I present now, but there are other possible parameters):
- Number of pages, the default page, the number of columns, the number of lines (to position your shortcuts, personally I have 8 columns and 8 rows) => Menu / Settings / Homescreen Settings
- Number of dock (the dock is the Quick Launch bar that is located right in landscape mode, you have 5 possible shortcuts in one dock and it is possible to have up to 3 docks (to slide up or down on the dock) => Menu / Preferences / Dock Settings (you can also specify, if you choose to put shortcuts telephone, email and sms on the dock, if you want to be displayed a count of unread events)
- The bottom of the Dock (in the theme as an example, I have no background) => Menu / Preferences / Appearance Settings / Dock Background / None (if you want to put a custom dock by you or found on the net, then you must choose "Custom" and pick the dock from your SD card)
3/ Choose your screen and resize it at 800x480. So that the bottom is not distorted, use Multipicture Live Wallpaper which allows you to set a different wallpaper per page (if desired). Multipicture Live Wallpaperr is managed as an animated wallpaper
The bottom will not be distorted but the 36 Pxls top will be hidden by the notification bar.
4/ Then you need to know, based on the number of rows and columns you have chosen, where you must place your text on the wallpaper. To do so, complete page fully of shortcuts. Then made a screenshot, I recommend the excellent ScreenShot
5/ On your PC, using your editing software (photoshop, photofiltre ... etc.) you can have your wallpaper nude and the screen as it will be on your Streak with the location where applications will be.
So place your text on your nude background by ensuring that these areas are easily covered by applications..
Your wallpaper is ready !
6/ Now install Desktop Visualizer, which allows you to put shortcuts transparent (especially)
(For those who could not find it on the Market : http://www.partage-facile.com/GYV6DGY6CW/jp.co.bii.android.app.dskvzr.apk.html )
7/ Desktop Visualizer works as a widget : long press on background / add a widget and choose desktop visualizer (it has different sizes, choose the one that best fits the space you have planned for your shortcut)
DV lets you choose the icon of the application to launch, get the transparent icon on your SD card (if you do not have a transparent icon, here's one : http://www.partage-facile.com/0GJIEOUAO0/transparent.png.html )
Then select the application you want to start.
Delete the text of the application and confirm (you can change or remove the highlighting that appears when you press the link to the application you're using, otherwise it will be orange)
8/ Once you've validated, you see nothing changed on the screen, it is normal because you have placed a transparent icon ! The link will always be placed to the top left corner of your home. Make a mong press along the top left, your widget will be highlighted by launcherpro.
You may notice a kind of tab in the lower right corner of your shortcut, by pressing and holding down while moving your finger, you can resize your widget as you like.
So give the desired size for your shortcut and press "back", the highlight disappears. Now made a long press on the top left of the streak and held down, move your widget transparent to the place you want on your home. (To verify that it is well positioned, have a long support for and release to highlight it)
Do this for each shortcut you provided on your screen.
9/ The last step is the Dock. You've already put in the dock transparent, but it remains the shortcuts on the dock that are visible.
Make a long press on shortcuts, you can either change an icon (change icon/custom icon) or change the shortcut and put any you want and you can still choose the transparent icon before finalizing this shortcut.
Then, I think I pretty much said it all. To summarize, here is my wallpaper ith some details :
This is obviously a simple example that you described above some customization capabilities. Unleash your imagination and make us great themes!
I hope I was clear about (and sorry for my english), do not hesitate if you have questions or additions
Some other example of themes done with this method :

No issue with more than one screen, just use multipicture live wallpaper to choose wich wallpaper you want for each screen.
